One of the best fast food chains of burger joints if you have had it you must try it lots and lots of toppings

I thought an updated review for this restaurant was appropriate and fair since my unfavorable past experience and subsequent poor rating. Just got back from one of many lunches here since my previous review and brief period of non-patronage. Every thing I mentioned in my last review has been addressed and changed for the better. The burgers have been consistently good and always hot. Seems more attention is being paid to getting the fries right and doing a good job of it. The Iced tea is tasting like good tea. There is someone always making sure the area is clean. The people are always friendly and courteous. And the price charged, considering the overall quality, is fair. Good to see someone paying attention to the details. I have become a regular again. read more

I went there with my friends because one of my friends told me that the foods are pretty good quality compared to any other fast food places. However, when I visited in there, the bread of burger got pretty wet from lettus and tomato, so it was hard to finish it. Fries are pretty nice but it wasn't very unique compared to other place. Delicious food, friendly staff, cute atmosphere, and a million drink options... what's not to like? They give you a TON of fries though, so don't get a large unless you are sharing. Also, it should be noted that there are peanuts and peanut shells everywhere (people eat them while they wait for their order to be done), so if you have even a mild peanut allergy, I would not even step foot inside. For a place that specializes in burgers, I guess I expect more. Burgers come "regular" or "small", which means 2 patties or 1. I'd prefer one thicker, juicier patty. I like that you can add virtually any topping for no extra charge. The fries are outstanding, and they give you a ridiculous amount of them. It's decent, but there are plenty of better burgers around. For me, it's a small step up from fast food. read more

Im so happy that Five Guys Burgers And Fries came to Gresham OR. I would always go to the one in vancouver. The food is really good and they also cook the food fast and really good. Stopped by for lunch with friends on monday. Best burgers weve ever had and the cajun fries were great!! The place was crazy busy loud and the manager and his workers were working like a machine. We are currently sitting here waiting to leave. Waiting, because the floor is so sticky and disgusting that I haven't worked myself up to walk on it again. I was so excited to bring my mom here after a weekend vacation and ended up apologizing the entire time. The food was good but couldn't even enjoy it because of the filth. It's 3 in the afternoon, when was the last time you mopped the floor???? Do you barely clean the kitchen as well??? I am so disappointed and will never come back to this location. Normally I never write reviews but this place was so disgusting I sat here, downloaded the app and am writing away. Best fries I have had in ages! Burgers were great...and what a choice of toppings at no extra charge. People complaining about price should know..this isn't McDonalds..you get what you pay for. The small fries were too much for two of us! Loved munching on the free peanuts while we waited. Classic rock playing...great! People are complaining it is too crowded???? Being a fan of a burger chain that has no locations in Oregon, i think i finally found what i was looking for in five guys. It sad when you talk about good burgers and all people say is " go to burgerville" these people are crazy! I'm not a big meat eater. I enjoy the semi annual beef burger:) there is nothing to say bad about this place. Good burgers, good variety and fries. There are some food Oregon lacks(IN MY OPINION), great Chinese food and Mexican food. but no longer the hamburger thanks to 5 guys. read more

Like everybody else, I'd been hearing about Five Guys for months! And finally, wow!...here it was, right in my own backyard! I couldn't wait to get in on the hoopla. And come to find out, hoopla was all it was. On an unhurried weekday afternoon, we figured we could slide in without the crowds and sample the goodies. And we were right. No crowds. But the instant we walked in, instead of being slapped in the kisser by elbow-to-elbow crowds, we were slapped in the face with BLARING and very shitty rock music (it was so loud we couldn't even hear the words, it was just white noise). We could barely hear each other. Then came the menu board and the prices! Daunting to say the least. We decided on a couple of small burgers, one order of fries and a couple of cokes. Twelve bucks! We waited and waited, the BLARING music numbing our senses and finally our order came in a grease-splotched brown paper bag. Peeked inside and yes, just like the hoopla said it would be, the fries were in a paper cup surrounded by a continuing pile of fries. It was Grease City. The napkins in the bag were drenched with grease. Trying to wipe your mouth on these napkins were like trying to wipe off on a beef pattie. And to my horror, the fries were just like the ones at In-N-Out Burger, limp, wet with frying oil and tasteless. Not a grain of salt on the whole pile. The way to make real french fries is to double fry them. Blanche them once, take them out of the fryer, then put them back in. They become golden and crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Not these. And I noticed not only were they clumped together, fried without having the starch washed off them, there were a fistful that were BLACK. Not burned. They left the black rotten parts on the potatoes and fried them. Fried rotten potatoes. All they had to do was trim off the black spots. Too busy? Hmm. Now, the burgers: The buns were wilted after being wrapped in foil, thus steaming them. First, they had only dotted the mustard I'd requested. I had to ask for more mustard. Then my wife's burger had ONE knot of lettuce, that hard heart part, not the leafy part. It was like a lettuce tumor. And both our burgers had been THROWN together. The tomatoes were hanging off the side, the pickles were piled up in one little heap on the other side, the onion was hanging on for dear life and we tried to scoop it all back on the bun and lay it out like a proper burger is supposed to be. By that time I'd had it. I took the fried rotten potatoes back to a guy at the counter and showed it to him. He shrugged. "Sorry, man." I asked if he'd serve that to his kids. He said, "Uh uh." "But you'd sell them to me, huh?" He nodded. I showed him my wife's burger and asked why no one even bothered to arrange the condiments on the bun rather than throw them AT the bun. The lettuce tumor wouldn't allow the bun to even sit on top of the whole messy thing. He just stood and shook his head, "Ya got us. We just dropped the ball, I guess." I asked if his bosses would be happy that, after spending millions on national advertising, he'd negated all their efforts by serving us rotten potatoes and a burger that wouldn't even hold together. I also asked why they didn't so much as season the meat or the fries with even a little salt. He shrugged again, "I don't know what else I can say." I said, "I own a food cart and I know how to prepare and serve food, busy of not. Now, the question becomes, what am I going to say in my review?" He took my wife's burger, threw it away and set about making her another one. It took about ten minutes. My burger was already cold when I got it, so it only got colder waiting for my wife's second burger to come off the grill so we could eat together. I took another couple of bites, then tossed it back in the sack with the limp, tasteless fries. My wife said, "I have never seen you not finish a burger...and usually the last hunk of mine." I'm going to send this review to the corporate office. I'm going to let them solve this problem. Me, I'm not going back for another greasy sack of rotten, tasteless, thrown-together food. Today was my second trip here and they did a better job the second time around. The first time I ate here it was busy and my order was incorrect. This time the burger was as ordered and I got the Cajun Style fries instead of the Five Guy's Style. Everything on the burger was fresh and tasty. I love how your burger is only made as you order it. The juices are still melding with everything else when you open the foil and take the first bite. The Cajun Style fries are awesome. They were fried to the perfect crispness and the seasoning has just enough spice. I just can't get over my bun falling to pieces. This could be a, nearly, perfect burger if it wasn't for the bun. I don't know if it's because they aren't substantial enough to begin with, or if it's because of the foil wrapping. I removed my burger from the foil wrapper, almost immediately, after receiving it and the bun still crumbled under the weight of the burger. Don't get me wrong, I believe in a good burger being messy. The inadequate bun just turns me off. I don't like having to pick up parts of my burger instead of the whole. Good service, tasty burger and fries and broken bun only get three stars. I hope they fix they bun. I'll be back to find out. read more
