This was the only place that was open super late near my AirBnB and since I love Philly Cheesesteaks, I had to see what's up! It took a while to get my order, but it seemed as if they hired a new worker and were showing him he ropes on how to properly make a good cheesesteak sandwich. The person teaching seemed like he had a passion for the craft of assembling and making the sandwich. But needless to say, he did, because it was pretty fire in my opinion. The beef was delicious! Was trying to hit a place on the Nacho Week list, and while I lucked out on that, I found this gem somewhat nearby (thank you yelp for being able to filter places that are currently open and getting good reviews!). I ended up out here about 10:30pm, and I'm used to places not being open as late as they advertised, but it was easy to find and open. Couple notes, there was a cool Gyro cart next to it, both looked good, but I chose the Philly Cheese Steak. There are tables and covering outside, which was nice to be able to sit and eat without trying to get the food home and hope it would still be hot. When I got there, there were a few people around but it wasn't slammed, and I was able to order right away. Went with the Philly Cheese Steak, and it was pretty good. The sandwich had some real perks, they used day old bread, which is the perfect bread to use for a Philly, it's a little stiff and does a great job of not crumbling with juices. The onions, beef and peppers all had distinct flavor. Is it the best Philly I've ever had? Nah. But is it pretty damn good for a Philly at 10:30 at night? Ya. It was grilled fresh, my food was probably out in under 10mins. The two gentleman working the booth were friendly, and it was $13 for the sandwich/fries and .$50 for a card transaction. For dollar/quantity value, it was very solid. I honestly expected it to be half the size and light on meat, but I was pleasantly surprised on both. One pet peeve of mine is cold/stale/lukewarm ie trash fries. Nothing worse than getting fries and having them just absolutely kill the meal by having to drown them in ketchup or just throw them away but...this wasn't the case here! I watched them put the fries in, and so when I got them, they were fresh, hot and seasoned, which was a definite bonus! They also threw in a couple sauces, it was dark so I couldn't see exactly what they were, but some kind of hot sauce and maybe a cheese sauce? I came having a taste for a burger, but I've always ordered through Uber Eats and got a Philly cheesesteak and it's always tasted good. But this most recent time prior to myself ordering he was getting order after order one through like Uber/DoorDash and then some other people got in line after me (two) my complaint is I never saw him change his gloves or wash his hands that grossed me out touching cards and money then grabbing food to fix from the fridge and then having your buddy at the cart next to you come help and he also did not wash his hands or even put on gloves. read more

Not for Philadelphians. I'm not clear how this has a five star rating. The sandwich is large perhaps that's a reason. The menus is extensive especially for a food truck, that may be a reason. It is not for the taste or authenticity of the Philly cheese steak. I only tried the one dish so perhaps the other options have more merit. The cheese steak was flavorless. The roll was large and chewy. The cheese , I was told was Swiss and stuck to the teeth. It was red with I assume paprika. Delicious food EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Generous portions, super kind staff & fresh ingredients. Everything is made to order. I've tried a few different items but my favorite by far is the Philly cheese steak quesadilla, random - I know but I fully recommend that and this entire establishment. Get your food to go, or have it delivered because I'm not super into the location/uncovered seating next to a busy street but the food is so good it makes up for the odd location. Man I am highly disappointed I was recommended this place by several people to be left sick the next morning. I ordered 2 Philly sandwiches and some chicken strips. I don't even know where to start the sauce is horrible the sandwich was nasty the meat was dry the cheese stuck to the roof of our mouths the bread was chewy and hard the fries tasted like the oil needed to be changed it's horrible. I ate half my sandwich hoping the next bite would be good but no I got sick thinking food poisoning the next morning. I do not recommend at all. The service was alright he was happy when I ordered the food but he didn't want me to watch them cook for some reason. Ate here when I came to the area for an appt, a little too early. You should know before you go that it's a food cart not terribly far from the Max - so, if it'spouring down rain or blazing hot, or maybe just because it's a food cart not terribly far from the Max, have it delivered. Hands down, one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever consumed. The fries were 3 stars, but to be fair - I hate soggy fries and have a habit of ordering fries extra crispy so maybe they would have been better as is. The homeless camp across the street, patrolled by police was a little discerning, as was the young man who asked me for a light and proceeded to show me his crack pipe but I almost forgot about him by the time I took my first bite and was pleasantly surprised by the helpful young man that took my order (of cheesesteak, not crackpipe).
