LOVE this sandwich spot!! I hail from the Tigard/sherwood area and called in my order because I had additional plans that kept me from dining in. I am so blown away by the kind service from the gentleman who rang me up. Recommend the snickerdoodle cookie when I asked about the selection/his opinion. I was also given a bag of kettle chips with my order! I am very happy this place was on my list and that I got to try it!

So many good choices! And so much seating. Came here on a Tuesday in the late afternoon and had a blast. The people working were so nice and fun! We ordered two different fish sandwiches and loved them. This is such a cool place for a quick lunch or a long lunch with a friend. Still thinking about the sandwich I got! Will be back again and again!!

We FINALLy stopped here for lunch and I'm so mad and also grateful that this is the first time we've gone because we would be here all the time if we had gone sooner. The food was amazing, the owner was awesome and al of the Bears decor was just an added bonus!!!!! Highly, highly recommend!!!! If I could get it more stars I would!!!!!

Absolutely the best sandwich! We did the tuna melt and a Teagan and both knocked it out of the park. Top notch customer service as well!

this joint has my whole heart!!! best friend from chicago showed me this place, and according to him -- sammich's beef sandwich is the closest thing u can get to an authentic chicago beef. i will say, i've never had a beef from chicago before, but it is a banging sandwich. tender meat, beautiful charred peppers and i LOVE the giardiniera. order it DIPPED. you get a lovely warm broth on the side, and it is absolutely heavenly dunked in it! weather was nice when we visited so outdoor seating was really nice. great service as well, will definitely return for this healing sandwich.

We went in and got a couple sandwiches after going to Portland Night Market. We got the Tre - Italian cold cut and the Porkstrami. We added the giardeniera to both and they were delicious. We also got Zombie fries but forgot a photo. Those were delicious, just wish there had been more toppings on them. We both preferred the Tre but both were very tasty. Also the side of giardeniera was only $1 and so tasty even on its own!

Holy sandwich was this place bangin'!!! so my hubby is a sandwich aficionado and I think he could eat them breakfast lunch and dinner and never get tired of them. So when we were coming across the bridge and realizing we'd be in NE, it was a no-brainer that this is what we were having for Valentine's Day lunch. I like a good sandwich, my husband and daughter LOVE a good sandwich. So in we went. Inside the unassuming exterior, you find a welcoming and vibrant restaurant. You order at the counter, grab a seat and wait for your fantasy sandwich to arrive. Hubby swears by the Tre, I got the Albacore, and the kiddo had pastrami. I am a sucker for crinkle cut fries, and we topped it off with a root beer. One of the best sandwiches I've had. No joke! I'm glad I got the giardiniera on it because it was freaking delicious and they make it on site. Servers couldn't have been more friendly, the atmosphere couldn't have been more enjoyable, and I will absolutely be back!

I have wanted to try the Porkstrami for a while, and it was delicious! I was concerned it would be too heavy, but it was well-balanced especially when you get it without mayo. I always get confused when mayo is added onto a sandwich that already has slaw on it. The bread was nice and fluffy. The porkstrami itself had a nice crisp from being griddled which was balanced well with the bright slaw. I wonder why they cut off the ends of the baguette, as I find that helps keep a sandwich together, but they have bags of baguette ends for free by the water.

Super cool staff and great sammiches. I've been wanted to stop by for a while. I'm happy I got the chance today. Got the Timbo and TRE and the house made chips. All excellent.

Great first visit to Sammich yesterday. When I walked into the door, I was warmly greeted instantly and that means a lot. Plus, watching Michael Jordan on the tv beat the Knicks is pretty special. I live in the Hillsboro area, but was on the east side, so I thought I would go the Sammich finally. It has been on my list for some time, and I am glad I did. I ordered the Pilsner on tap and it was refreshing. I then ordered the Cubbie Cubano..so darn tasty. It came with potato chips which were fine, but I didn't realize I could have ordered fries for a slight upcharge. Next time I will. I then purchased two cookies and a cup of tomato soup to bring to my wife who was at home. She loved them both. I will be back as I was super impressed with the all of the wall coverings and the Chicago postings.

Entering the shop, you will be greeted by loud music. Be ready for that. You will have the option to dine outside, if the weather provides it and the seats are empty. The hosts are wonderful and very accepting with a positive attitude. Smiles and all. I ordered the Jim because it was the only sandwich I could eat. The majority of the sandwiches contain meat, so I would not recommend this for vegans or pescatarians. Jim was delicious and I consumed both halves of Jim flawlessly. Either hunger overruled me, or the sandwich was that satisfying. I do recommend the shop, but with limited options for non-meat eaters, I truthfully would rate Lottie and Zulas, 4.5. Yet, I don't believe the spot was "good."

We also had the Vinny which was fine, a bit spicier than I thought it would be, but I'm a wimp. The service was fine, not overly friendly but adequate. The food is 4 stars, the service 3 starts, but the real bummer was all the plastic. Plastic container, plastic cups and we were eating in. They asked if it was to go and we said no, but everything came in plastic anyway. The ambiance is quintessential Portland, right up until they bring all your food in plastic with plastic silverware to boot.

When the food came out, I was a bit disappointed. My Sriracha sandwich looked identical to the Yolko Ono. I waited too long for my sandwich and didn't want to send it back and wait some more so I just ate it and didn't complained. The sausage patty was a bit dry in both sandwiches and the egg was cooked over medium. The yolk didn't drip like it had did in the past. It creates less of a mess when you're eating but it's not quite the same. This location has a few 2-person tables and 2 large communal table that you can share with other people. We originally sat the the communal table but when a 2-person table because available, we moved over.
