We were really happy with our meal and would definitely come back if we need a quick bite. I also think it's great that they give you a drive-thru number instead of rushing orders out the window. I hope the female employees have a different restroom because they wouldn't be able to wash their hands either The lady that took the order was a little distant / disinterested / zoning out, polite but not very friendly like she's rather be somewhere else. We got our fountain drink first and waited for our order to be prepared: Culver Deluxe double meal with a side order of large onion rings. Total was about $19. It took about 10 minutes and the To Go busboy gave us our food, he was pleasant, polite, even smiled and thanked us for visiting. We left and had our food on the drive home - the Culver Deluxe was made well. It tasted fresh and the veggies were crisp. The large order of onion rings were crunchy just like we wanted them. And the crinkle fries were a great addition to complete our fast food craving. If I didn't visit the restroom, my rating would be higher. Also, staff allowed a non service animal (looked like a poodle mix) on a leash walk around the ordering counter area. I like pets but not near my restaurant orders. Maybe there should be a sign on the door to prevent that. Anyway, I hope the women's restroom faucet issue is resolved soon since that is major health and safety issue. Not sure if we'll be back again, but I did submit my main concerns to the Culver survey so maybe they'll contact me about it.

When I got to Tom Petty Park and opened my food, I was impressed with the portion and after my first bite, I was even more impressed with the taste. Some of this is locally-produced like the honey, some not. Some is reasonable in price, some you'd do better at a supermarket on probably. However, the cheeseburger and fries I had--plus iced tea!--all were excellent. There's nowhere to eat inside but they have shaded pic-nic tables outside. They also have a drive-thru and most of their cooked food orders likely are to take home. Aside from burgers, they have other sandwiches, various plates and sandwiches made of their famous brisket, and daily specials which trend towards Southern homestyle favorites like meatloaf or roasted chicken. My burger was great: it tasted like a burger Dad or a friend's dad would grill--not one from any restaurant. It tasted truly homemade. I'm eager now to try their brisket sandwiches and everything else.

Some of these places make some pretty good burgers (I'm thinking of you, Sonic) that they call "smash"somethingorother but That. Are. NOT. Smash. Burgers. I just got back from Smasherz in Archer, Florida (their brick and mortar location; I understand they also have a food truck), and I'm happy to report that THESE people know what a smash burger is and how to make one. I ordered their "onion smash"-- "caramelized onions, crispy onions, provolone cheese, and our house-made creamy tangy signature smash sauce" -- and I what I got was a SMASH burger: The (two) patties had been smashed flat (such that they ended up hanging over the edges of the bun) and cooked at high heat to get that "Maillard reaction," through which the edges of the patties caramelized into a sort of "beef lace" while the centers remained juicy. That's a smash burger. Anything else isn't. Normally, I order a smash burger with grilled onions (and no crispty onions), mustard, and American cheese, but I decided to just take it the way the menu described it and I was glad I did. The crispy onions weren't over-bearing, the onlon/meat/cheese ratio was well-calculated, and their "creamy, tangy" house sauce was a perfect combination of (checks notes) creamy and tangy. The whole burger just worked perfectly from meat to onions to cheese to sauce to bun. I suspect their "original," jalapeno, mushroom, and veggie versions will be just as satisfying to those looking for specific smash burger types. And, based on the prices I've been seeing lately, you get a lot of food for your money. Yes, it was $10, but that's a double patty sandwich and I was full when I finished (I didn't order any fries or other sides.) It felt like more food (and was definitely BETTER food) than, say, a McDonald's Double Quarter Pounder, a Wendy's Double, etc. The last time I bought a food truck burger it was $11 and not nearly as large. The ONLY thing I don't like about Smasherz is that it's about five minutes from my house and I'll have trouble resisting temptation. And no, I didn't get a free burger for a review or anything like that. I don't know the owners. I know of locally owned places that I would rather go to, but I suppose that if I were running around on Archer road and had a hankering for a hot chicken sandwich like this I would be inclined to return.
