Entering, the place is nice... simple counter service location with seating both inside and out, though the outside seating is pretty close to Archer Road, so not that great. Too much noise from the road to really be enjoyable, sadly. I went for a slider with fries... just wanted to get a taste and not eat too much. The heat level was fair, and for the most part the sandwich was tasty. The fries were also good crinkle cuts. The only complaint I have was that the sandwich could have used some more coleslaw. This is a small national chain, so I do expect quality and customer service to be on par with the rest of the chains, and that is what I got. The product is fair, but nothing really excellent about it. I know of locally owned places that I would rather go to, but I suppose that if I were running around on Archer road and had a hankering for a hot chicken sandwich like this I would be inclined to return.

Remember, Los Pollos Rotisserie & Grill - Not Just Chicken! During this visit, I went for the specials (not on the regular menu). You've got to check the written board. I got: Tostones Rellenos: Green plantains, stuffed with chicken and cheese, then drizzled in avocado sauce. Every bite was packed. Churrasco Bowl: similar to the carne asada/steak bowl but upgraded with fresh chimichurri sauce and sided with Latin white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. This is their second location of Los Pollos Rotisserie & Grill in Gainesville--this one's over on Archer Road. It's a line-order style setup, and then you grab a booth while they bring the food out. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect the first time I walked in. I was hesitant. The staff were cool--friendly, smiling, and the service was quick. The location is clean, comfy, and bright.

Hearing that Los Pollos opened up a second location here, I decided to drop by and check it out. I really really hope they endure because the food here is just as good as the original location. The much larger space means you can come with a bigger group. Service was fast and efficient. I got the Lomo Saltaldo and was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. Good portion or rice and a substantial portion of beef and French fries, all tossed in a rich sauce. So if you're driving past this restaurant, drop by and give them a try. Support local and help them succeed :)

Following a visit to the sprawling UF campus, my wife and I decided to try out The Spot for lunch…read more Located in a building housing other eateries and with limited "free" parking, we parked in the parking structure in the same building. As it was summer break, a lot of the other businesses in the building were closed (Vietnamese and Italian restaurant as well as a boba place). The place looks like it was being run by a hardworking couple. We checked out the menu and my wife ordered the Gyro Platter and I ordered the Souvlaki Platter. We also ordered a couple of fountain drinks. The gyro meat was well seasoned and tender. The Greek salad was quite good. The chicken souvlaki, however, seemed to lack flavor and a bit dry. Portions were quite generous and the value was there. We actually packed our leftovers for some quesadillas later. If we do go back, I would order the gyro instead of the chicken souvlaki. NOTE: They don't validate parking which was $3 for an hour

I hate to leave bad reviews, but I think want to be honest. I came to The Spot recently for lunch…read moreand was not happy with my experience. Located in midtown, this appears to a fast casual place that caters towards college students. They serve "Greek" street food, salads, quesadillas, burgers, and more. The food is relatively inexpensive. Service is fine, actually the people working there are friendly. Food is made to order and comes out quickly. There is some seating available inside (it's limited) but there are plenty of tables in the hall. I ordered the Street Chicken Souvlaki which included grilled chicken with tomato, onion, fries inside a pita, topped with ketchup and mustard. This was a very large portion. The pita was good, but pretty much fell apart the second I picked it up. While I liked the chicken, it was over seasoned and I didn't care for the "sauced" quality of it. I'm not sure if they marinated it or tossed it in some sauce, but it was too much. The fries were decent, but not super crispy. I felt that they were not necessarily and a little over-the-top. The tomato was fresh and but the red onion slices were very thick. The mustard and ketchup didn't work with the seasonings on the chicken. The dish was just all over the place and I couldn't even finish half of it before I started feeling sick. I ordered a side of onion rings as well. This was a large order and the size was great. But these onion rings were over-battered and were fresh, but not crispy at all. I bit into one and ended up pulling out the whole onion rings. Not good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience. The food was so heavy and overly salted I couldn't even eat half of it. I ended up giving it to a homeless person on the way out. The food left my stomach in shambles the rest of the day. Service is fine. But the food is not desirable. It is safe to say I will not be returning, which is unfortunate.

Alas gone. It was good while it lasted. Quality was up and down but still better than Zaxbys.read more

Well what they have been saying on the Google reviews isssss kinda true. Last time I stopped here,…read moreI watched a woman throw my order (to be picked up by customer) in the center of a work station, but no one called my name. Just about everything was cold and the chicken sandwich was incorrect, just like it was this time. Why am I paying for cheese and/or bacon on a sandwich but never getting it? Last time, cheese but no bacon...this time, no cheese or extra mayo. (Which they should actually put honey mustard as an option but they don't--if so many people like to dip their chicken strips in it, why not option it as an add-on to your sandwich??) Worst of all, no one has bothered to clean all the greasy fingerprints off the doors as you come in...hard to find a clean table as well. What does the nighttime crew DO before they leave? Just leave everything disgusting for the opening crew? That doesn't make good sense at all! Management needs to make either one or the other do some cleaning BEFORE opening for business the next day! Seriously!! How hard is it to wipe down some table tops and benches? 10 minutes of work goes a looooong way towards good impressions. Also, instead of mopping and sweeping while customers are trying to sit and eat...let's think about doing that BEFORE or AFTER they're in the building. Who wants air from the floor blowing God knows what into their faces or food?? Thank you to whoever the man was who directed both fans into my face and food. It'll be another long while before I come back again. While yes, the food TASTES good, my fries were quickly cold from the blowing fan on me and who knows what was being directed onto them from the floor. Again, no cheese on my sandwich, although AGAIN, I paid for something I did not get. Are the employees just not awake this time of day when they're just starting their shift? Sorry to put bad out there, but I'm a bit upset that one of the treats I grant myself after being pulled and prodded at the doctor's office is a coffee from somewhere that's pricey but the only place that offers coconut milk AND PDQ! I'm about to change the second part to a different place if this bad decision making continues! Get your act together PDQ!

The temperature of the food was awesome for delivery, the burger was hot, fresh and very tasty, the fries were hot and crispy, well seasoned with enough to share, the soft drink was fresh, cold, with plenty of ice, and very strong on flavor and fizz, thumbs up. Their burgers are customizable via the delivery app, you can choose extra cheese, patties, bacon, lettuce, etc, one thing you will not find on the menu is tomatoes, booo! We decided to try again, this is where the miss came in, we ordered the Karl's grilled cheese, with seasoned fries, the description read super yum: 3 slices of American cheese griddled crisp on an inverted bun, that is not what arrived, instead, we were handed soggy, wet, no crisp to be seen or heard, the fries were very stale as if they'd been sitting in the bin for quite some time, thank goodness the chocolate chip cookies saved the meal from being a total wreck, they were soft, crisp edges, gooey and good! Would definitely return for the burger though, it was delish.
