I could tell just by looking at this super thin fried chicken, that it was going to be rock solid. I was right. The chicken was tough, chewy and stringy. It was cooked well past well done. I tried to eat it, I don't like to complain, but I could only get about 3 bits into it. I pushed it away. When one of the bartenders came by and was taking it away without even asking why an entire plate is being thrown away without hardly any food eaten. So I said it was way overcooked, and inedible, he didn't even respond, just took it and threw it away. No questions. No offer to get something else, just walked away. After that we decided we would go somewhere else, when we got the bill, it was still on there. That was very unprofessional, and I don't think we will be coming back anytime soon.

Quick note about the wings: Five doesn't sound like a lot, but they are both the drumette and flat together, so by other wing places' standards, it is more like ten wings! They have a variety of sauces, and I went for the mango habanero. It is definitely more sweet than spicy, but still tasty. The sauce distribution wasn't great, and there was a large pool of the sauce that was acting more like a dipping sauce than a tossed sauce. The gyro was pretty standard... the meat for it didn't seem prepackaged, which was a good sign, and it held up well. There is better in town, but this one holds up against most of the locations in town that make gyros. There is seating outside, under a shelter with four picnic tables, so at least you can eat under some shade during the summer months. The workers there were pleasant enough, and they brought my food out to me while I waited under the shelter. Final analysis though? Sadly, I don't see this place surviving unless they can come up with a menu item that truly brings people flocking to their doors. It's NOT about their food, though... their food is fine, and if they were located in some other location in town they would probably do decently. It is purely the location: the parking here is minimal, getting into the place is a rough stop on the brakes with traffic coming up behind you at breakneck speeds, and there simply isn't enough other commercial industry in the area to support them well. I truly hope that my prediction here doesn't come true.

Only open Friday through Sunday, they offer a limited selection with monthly rotating flavors, so expect lines out the door. Knowing to expect a line, especially during move-in weekend, my family and I got there about 10min before opening at 10am. There was already a line wrapped around the block! We ended up waiting in line for about 50min before ordering. Shortly after we ordered and sat down to enjoy our donuts, one of the owners notified everyone there was a limited selection left and it was likely not everyone would receive donuts. So if you are planning on visiting, just be aware of this! The service was excellent and extremely pleasant. The co-owner serving the donuts was super sweet and personable. This husband and wife team run a tight ship and really do their best to serve everyone to their best ability! The inside is quant, but there are a couple of seating options. We appreciated the nostalgic atmosphere and decor throughout. We got to the counter at the perfect time as they were just about out of the brioche. While unable to snag one of the brioche donuts, we were able to try 3/4 brioche filled and 5 of the vegan glazed. All the donuts were genuinely phenomenal and you couldn't tell the vegan glazed was vegan at all. The brioche filled donuts were super pillowy, with ample amounts of luscious cream filling. All the flavors were distinct and very good--you can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed the brownie filled brioche and thought the filling was divine, almost reminded me of chocolate mousse! The vegan glazed were also great with a wonderful texture.
