Got my first order of 5 Guys.. 2 Cheeseburgers, 2 Fries and 1 shake.. $50.00 and change (delivery was 1.00 and driver tip on the bill was 4.50 ish) Over seasoned caked on cajun sprinkles so greasy the bag was tearing through on on the large fry and almost on the regular bag.. Burgers were cooked well... NO seasoning at all. Bun was so soaked in grease that you couldn't hold it.. i just scraped it off and ate the burger with cheese alone.. The 2 bites of the bun I tried were hideous. I wondered why they had the option for no bun.... The chocolate shake was good... the size of the shake was surprisingly SMALL though. NOT worth the 5.00 plus dollars. And I ordered it without whipped cream..Guess how I got it... with whipped cream. The 2 star rating is overly generous.. I ordered online for pickup at 6:15. I got to the resturaunt and stood in the pick up area around 6:10. Mind you I ordered just two burgers, one fry, and two drinks. Easy, right? I get there and there is quite a few people waiting in line to order and in line for pickup, but since I ordered a few hours earlier I was thinking that my food would have been ready. Nope. I left out of there at 6:37. I understood it was busy, but I wasn't acknowleged about my order until about 6:25. As I stood there watching the black young girl gleeked on our food when talking. Peanuts galore if that is something up alley. Help yourself to trays while you wait for your food. I love how you can customize your burger with so many different condiments... grilled onions, geilled mushrooms, jalepenos... or have the works (everything). They even hotdogs. The little cheeseburger is enough for me... nothing really little but the price. Large Cajun fries can be split between 2 people since they pack ur cup and throw more in the bag. I am doing rotations for school nearby and decided to give them a shot for lunch. So many people told me they were "as good as in n out" or "actually better". My overall assessment: Meh at best. We have enjoyed our visits to five guys up until now. As other reviews stated, Vacaville seems to have it together but not the Fairfield location. They don't seem to care about food safety at their Fairfield store! I ordered online only to still have to wait. No big deal since it was only maybe an extra 5 minutes. What bothered me was while waiting, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Employees not changing their gloves between handling different orders, raw versus cooked food, touching of their own body and clothes, and even a cell phone. All of this while wearing the same pair of gloves. It was gross! One employee went to and from the back twice to do something on his phone while wearing the same pair of gloves he has just made burgers with. Turns out this guy was in charge. Honestly, no one even reached for a new pair of gloves until I called them out on it. There were three of them working the line at the time and I saw all of this in the 15 minutes of waiting. Sad to see they don't take food safety seriously. I mean you work in an open kitchen where everyone can see you. Won't be going there again. Not going to risk getting my family sick. Went in 11/19 my first time. Food was delicious. Loved the burger and fries. Music they played was adequate. Little pricey though. My meal came to $12. Burger. Fries. Drink. It's a bit more than I'm used to paying for those three items. But the burger was worth it. First started to venture out to something new for a first from Chick-Fil-A or In-And-Out and some few other fast food restaurants. I was recommended here by a friend to come here for lunch. Nice modern area where the business is placed. Shopping center is next to the area as well as the theater and Solano Mall. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with A1 Sauce, Grilled Onions, Ketchup, Mayo and Extra Cheese. Figured if you'd be getting a burger, you might as well buy a cup of fries and a Coke. Did exactly that and wasn't let down. Snacked on a few peanuts before I had received my food. Burger was extremely cooked to perfection (Mine at least). Everything was piled to the tip top and savored every last bite. Fries were crispy as can be and lightly salted. Little bit of oil from the fries left the bag oily but nothing too major. Didn't have the chance to try out the shake(s). Heard the Oreo Cookie and Strawberry was good. I will be trying that upon my next return at this Five Guys. Everything is priced based on the quality in my opinion. Casual but still the fast food way. The area of this place is hit or miss, right across the ghetto Cinema that I call home and around the Barnes and nobles, close to the reborn converted "Go-Kart raceway" which use to be a circuit city, Sits this place, which can be lost by the unseen eye, especially if you see all the other restaurants in the area. I was disappointed because I didn't know exactly what to expect from this place, turns out it's not too bad, it's not quite like an in-an-out burger, I think a little overpriced for a burger, in which I felt I engulfed so quickly out of hunger...and the burger was fairly sized for a man, but PH balanced for a woman, and pretty expensive for a chain, but then little did I know you CAN PUT ANYTHING ON IT! As in A-1 steak sauce - mushrooms and whatever you name it! Don't get carried away now! (Like I did) Yeah, you get free peanuts, and all that jazz, but its Alright, nothing fancy, unless you use the malt vinegar. I like this place because of the fries, Thick cut fries...which are delicious, although at that time they didn't have "ranch dressing" for my fries, I felt like "Meh" but you can also get Cajun style in which I might next time. Loved the Five Guys in Vacaville. I was excited when I found out that we had one here in Fairfield. The experience I had here was nothing close to the one I get from the Vacaville location. It was bad. Bad enough that I would rather drive to Vacaville to get my burger than here. The register employee who took my order lacked any kind of skills in customer service. She was rude with an attitude and felt like she didn't want to be at work (although the location had just opened so i don't see why she would feel that way...hey you just got a job so why not show a little gratitude?) The floor was a mess! While we were waiting for our food the same lady was walking around wiping down the tables. She wiped down the table that my gf was sitting at w/o saying "excuse me" and almost knocking her cell off the table. When we got our food the burger didn't taste the same as i would normally get from the other location. All in all it was bad experience with a bad service and an so so burger. My family and I recently heard that this location opened up and decided to finally stop in and give Five Guys a try. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had free peanuts available for customers to snack on while waiting for food. It's self serve so you can help yourself to as much as you'd like (or as much as you can hold in your pockets). Our food took close to 10 minutes to be ready, but was hot and piled high with all the toppings I pleased (they're all free!). I didn't realize that the regular burger actually comes with two patties. If I'd known that I might have ordered a smaller one. Even so, the meat was juicy, but didn't seem to have much seasoning if any. I ordered my burger with jalapenos but only bit into a few during my burger adventure. I was kinda let down by the lack of kick that I was expecting when eating it. The fries were fresh, hot and kinda boring. I mean, sure they were cooked well - but they were pretty flavorless. My boyfriend ordered his creole style and that's the way to go. Not too much kick, but a hell of a lot more flavor than the plain ol' regular fries. Another thing about the fries - the portions are HUGE. We ordered 2 smalls and there were fries all over the bottom of both of our bags. We could have easily split a single small order. The restaurant got pretty busy shortly after we got there. Even my vegetarian Aunt and cousin even came in for the Five Guys veggie burger. Turns out it's not a veggie burger patty, but just vegetables - like the ones you'd get on an actual burger. Not sure if I'd come here for that. Another thing, they put every order in paper bags. Even orders that are being eaten there. Seems really wasteful doesn't it? Perhaps that's why we ended up spending $28 on two burgers, 2 fries, a grilled cheese and 2 small drinks. Crazy pricey for a burger outing! Either way, I think I'm going to give this place some time to get used to being open before I come back. first timer here , heard about this chain and thought why not, I got 3 cheeseburgers to go , paid 30 bucks ,no fries or drink ..........got my bag and left . got home 5 minutes later to find all three wrapped tight like burritos and completely soggy , foil will have condensation with hot food to the point that all the burgers were soaked very gross and way to expensive for this type of care given the meat itself was ok i can go to many sit down places and get a plate with fries ,warm burger and toasted bread for the same price read more

1st Time for me and my daughter! I ordered the cheeseburger, a cheesedog, a vanilla malt and a large fry. My boyfriend got a bacon cheeseburger. We shared the lot with my child. The service was very pleasant and fast. The food came out hot and it was surprisingly good. It could have been because I was starving but I ate it all minus the huge amount of fries. As someone that has never had five guys, it was good food but not a great price... I had the Bacon Cheeseburger which costs $10 and something cents. The fries remind me of Buds Burgers. I give this location 2.5 stars. As another person mentioned, this location isn't on par with the Vacaville location. This was my first experience at the Five Guys restaurant and after what I had heard from others about it being competition to In-N-Out, I had to give it a try. I was disappointed. If it wasn't for the fact that I was in Vacaville last week and ate at the Five Guys there due to being in a rush to catch a movie, I wouldn't have given this place a chance based on my Fairfield experience. The service here wasn't as friendly or quick as the other location. When we received our food, a worker - without saying anything or even looking at us - starts to wipe our table down while we were getting ready to eat. Gee thanks, I really want a wet table to put my arms on now. Maybe it's just the overall experience, but the food didn't taste the same as the Vacaville location. I can only assume it is under different ownership since they are a Franchise. For this reason alone, you can expect better service from In-N-Out in general since it is not a Franchise. If I were to eat at Five Guys, which is only when In-N-Out isn't closer, then I would be going to Vacaville. If I am in Fairfield, I'm going to treat it as if there is no Five Guys location here. read more

Decided to get burgers for dinner so my daughter went down to get it. Person taking the order messed up the ticket and daughter asked to make sure it was right. The guy fixed the ticket and when she got the food it wasn't right. They remade her burger. When she got home and we started taking everything out of the bag and they gave us a plain cheeseburger instead of the bacon burger with everything on it. We also had ordered a large French fry which was half full. I drove back and let the manager know what happened and he remade my burger and apologized. My daughter said that they had messed up other people's orders while she was waiting for the food. I'm a big non-red meat eater so clearly this was not going to be my first choice for lunch. But I figured hey try it once and see what they have. Now the free peanuts is nice, but not too exciting. The menu meh, well I suppose its ok for my red meat eaters, but personally it wasn't that exciting. I ended up with the veggie sandwich and a large order of cajun fries to go. I got back to the office and well it was good, but could have been better if I ate it right away. The bread got soggy from the grilled veggies (something I think they should inform you of, or even better they could offer the veggies on the side so the bread doesn't get soggy). I'd give them a C. The burger itself was quite tasty, and its a double so it's a good value. Also, the choice of toppings is quite nice. So don't get me wrong its not terrible, its just eh, and I'll tell you why. All five guys, forgot three of the toppings on my burger. The lettuce, tomato, and pickles. So I walked up with my receipt and told them, and they gave me those ingredients....on the side. This made my burger harder to eat since I had to pry the bun and gooey cheese apart from the burger so I could put in these cold ingredients in. I then took a bite and it was not working for me, the whole burger just began falling apart in my hands and I was clumsily trying to eat it as I had originally ordered it. What they SHOULD have done, was remake it with no questions asked the way the receipt showed. Walked in at around 7pm. Greeted by a sweet girl. Discussed our first time being there and she was more than happy to share what they offered. I got the single protein cheeseburger with mushrooms and onions. Man got the single cheeseburger with everything on it. Fries were Cajun and sm size. Fries were more than enough for us two. Lettuce was huge on my protein burger. Mushrooms on point. Grilled onions were literally pouring out of my cheeseburger. Great place. Peanuts were a nice before the meal touch. Great service! Not great unfortunately. I've had their burgers before (at a different location, this was Fairfield, CA) and enjoyed them. This time I wanted something different, so I ordered the hot dog. They must not sell a lot of those because I think this one had been around for a while. It was dry, tasteless, and really just awful. The real misery though was because it was so freezing cold in the dining area it was hard to sit still long enough to eat. I was shivering so much I practically poked my eye out with a (by then) re-frozen french fry! It wasn't just me either, my brother has lived and worked for years, outside, in places like Korea and North Dakota and HE was even cold. We changed tables twice to try and escape the aggressively blowing air vents (we had to weigh down the napkins as though we were at an outdoor picnic in the arctic) but couldn't find a spot out of the gale. We saw other customers doing the same thing - checking the air flow and trying to find a wind break behind which to take shelter. Their AC might be a good thing on a hot summer day, but mid-winter it was not so fun. My brother said his burger was good and the fries would have been good if there had been a chance to eat them while they were still warm. The place was spotlessly clean though, so kudos to them for that! read more

I was told by my friends that Five Guys was among the best burger joints in the area. I went inside and all the staff was friendly which is great! Unfortunately the food leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a cheeseburger and a side of small fries. The fries were okay at best. Way too salty and overrated. The burger was way too greasy and it fell apart as I unwrapped it from the foil.
