Late night, post game dinner stop. The kid was uncertain concerning what he wanted, so I made the decision and we hit 5 Guys. Surprisingly not crowded on a Saturday night. We were helped immediately. As expected, the price is a little up there but do you really mind if the quality is there? You pay for the burger and a majority of the toppings are "free." Burger was absolutely on point. I got a hot dog as well, because.... why not? Dog was good as well but the burger is where it's at. Fries may be at the top of the list for chain fries. My son got a milkshake and when I asked him how it was, he said "good." He's a teen now, so good means very good. Ugh. Place was clean. Everyone was attentive and there's a big barrel of peanuts that you can snack on while you wait. Only downside is the price. Definitely a good alternate if you're looking for something better than the average fast food joint. read more

Five Guys - Bacon Cheeseburger - Burgers Near Me - East Rutherford, New Jersey

Five guys is the best! This location is consistently good. Fries were hot and service is quick. My only comment is that this place usually has the air conditioning on blast so it is a bit cold inside. Bring a hoodie and prepare to leave happy! read more

Freezing dine in. Told register employee it was cold. They said back door was open. Checked, and no door was open. Other customers left to eat in their car. Used temperature app to find out how cold, it was 60 degrees with cold air blowing down on tables. read more

Love this place! Wife and I have come here multiple times! Food is always great. I love me some burgers, and FG knows how to do them better than most places. I will say that the staff could do a slight better job of cleaning up the front of house, but its neat enough. Customers should also do their part in cleaning up after themselves. There usually isn't a line to order, but there is a line to pickup! I love all the toppings that you get to choose from. I really wish that they would add the Cajun spice to the burger as a topping... I have to get it separately... No big deal. Burgers are always delicious, but messy, especially if you get more than 4-5 toppings. Sometimes simple is best. I get the cheeseburger with bacon a-1, both onions and L-T. Then I dust it in Cajun seasoning, and Wham! Delicious! Their fries are delicious as well. I usually get the small Cajun fries because I am the only one that eats it lol! Too much kick for my wife! I really like the super extra fries you get, makes it work the $5 for a small hahahaha lol! Dogs are good here as well. I love how it is split and cooked on the griddle, but the $5 price tag for a hot dog is a bit much. I know that it is implied that you pay for toppings, but Dogs aren't designed to hold crazy toppings lol! If they dropped it by $2 they would still make crazy profit off them. Finally their shakes are pretty solid, although slightly more soft in real life lol! It comes from a machine then they add whaler toppings you would like. It is basic vanilla, then they add chocolate syrup etc. All good, but not the highlight of this place. Staff is nice. Very young!!!! Kids managing kids lol! All in all, a great place! Great food, high quality. Take it and go. It travels well. read more

It's your regular fast food chain nothing too fancy about it. I wish they had more vegetarian options.. I usually visit them for their kajun fries. I would recommend to Not get their large fries as they load up small fries with so much more in the bag. I don't know what they do when you order large? The place seems clean and it's spacious enough to dine in. It is located in a strip mall on route 17 nearby Lowe's. I was happy to find a five guys close to home just for my fries cravings. read more

Online ordering: Ordered directly through the website (powered by Olo). Was pretty uneventful, but I did notice that it didn't seem to work properly with PayPal key. Burger was ready for pickup quickly and they didn't put the fries in the bag until I picked it up, which was nice. A consequence of this is that you do have to go to the back of the restaurant to pick it up. Some oil did make it to the bottom of the bag, so consider this for your car. Food itself: Typical Five Guys quality, which is to say plenty of food and pretty tasty. Fries are over-portioned and salty as usual. Order was correct. I pan fried up the extra fries at 280°F in butter to make breakfast potatoes the following day, which makes for a crispy treat if you can't eat them in one go. All in all, what I expect for a five guys. read more

Five Guys - Cheeseburger, Little Cajun Fries - Burgers Near Me - East Rutherford, New Jersey

fast service and consistent quality every time even at different locations, like i said food is good and service is always great read more

This is probably my favorite fast food restaurant. The quality ingredients that they offered to their customers compared to Burger King or McDonald's is completely different and that's why it's my favorite. They offer fresh hand cut fries made in peanut oil (side note if doesn't taste like peanuts) and they are the best french fries. I love that they offer a lettuce bun option instead of a regular bun for those who are trying to lower their carb intake. Not that that really matters when you're eating fast food but it's a great option. Their burgers are filled with flavor and you can choose from a handful of toppings. Overall, I highly recommend it! read more

Five Guys - Inside - Burgers Near Me - East Rutherford, New Jersey

Our order got messed up. Topping on 2 burgers were messed up. Neither burger was enjoyed. Everything was fresh and cooked correctly but i like spicy and savory veggies & my son like bbq sauce hates the spicy stuff I enjoy. We did both enjoy our fries. They were having an off day & because we picked up take out late in the evening neither one of us wanted to back out to pick up a corrected meal so it was disappointing scrapping stuff off and eating the patty dipped in ketchup. read more

Five Guys - Burgers Near Me - East Rutherford, New Jersey

Been here a few times now and here's my review.... Pros: clean, friendly service, delicious burgers of freshly grilled beef, select your own toppings, fountain drinks so it's refillable, generous portion of fries (small order can be shared), unlimited peanuts, you get to see the kitchen and how they prepare your food, you can order online, located at a strip mall area with other eateries so u have options, and plenty of parking Cons: high calories and fat and literally regret it each time after I eat it! Doesn't have kids meal portion so you'd have to order adult size burgers, which is also adult pricing too. Doesn't have combo meal so u have to order and pay your burger or hotdog, fries and drink and no price break. Never have sales or specials like other fast food places. read more

This is where I go when I'm craving a fresh, substantial, fast food burger. This shop stacks their burgers high with toppings and grills their burgers fresh, which makes all the difference. Great flavor and they are very generous with portions. The double bacon cheeseburger is my favorite here. Fries are excellent. Be prepared: you always get more of them than you order, which is a good thing! No frills here. Burgers come in tin foil and fries come in a brown bag. The hot dogs are also excellent. If you're looking for fast, fresh, and no frills with large portions, this place always satisfies. read more

My last trip to five guys on 12/14/2023 at Rockaway, NJ mall I got something extra in my bacon cheeseburger - a nice shard of SHARP piece of GLASS. It's a good thing I didn't bite into it. I can only imagine what would have happened if I did. I did cut my finger on it when I was wrapping remaining burger up. I went to cashier and all I got is I'm sorry, here's a bandaid and a refund for the burger. I think it's safe to say I won't be coming back nor recommend this place. Definitely not recommended! read more

Today I went to this establishment around 12:45pm to pick up 2 orders I then went to place my own order because I was hungry and I had just left the gym. My blood glucose monitor went off letting me know that my sugar was dropping really low. As I began to order the short female at the expediting side yelled out to the manager who was the cashier at the time , to not take my order cause I'm picking up food. I asked the manger are you serious, he said yes the food will take to long. I asked him so is this Fiveguys new protocol ( standards?) he said yes I informed him that this is your franchise's policy? He said yes, I asked this is from the DO ( Director of Operations?) he said yes and every-time he gave me a attitude about it. At that point I didn't even want to eat at this location because how can someone tell a customer all you can get is a fry or a soda cause the food takes too long. From my understanding during peak hours there should be food cooking and staged ( in the second zone and first zone because if you stay ready you don't have to get ready) I understand cook less more often but peak hours requires food to be complete within 10 minutes why would food take longer then that especially when I was already waiting almost 5 minutes for 2 other orders?! I don't recommend this place and I will let others know about this franchise and how they treat ppl with disabilities. Folks should I have passed out due to lack of service then these teenagers would've acted like they cared ( not only for my well being but, sales and customer service) folks stay away from this place. read more

5 guys burgers and fries is possibly my first choice for good quality fast burger and a big ole bags of Cajun fries that can feed the crew! This location is awesome and the staff is definitely amazing. Parking is great as well since its in a strip mall. My go to burger is the bacon cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, onions and BBQ sauce! It's hefty (double patty), juicy and packed with flavor! My go to fries are the Cajun fries. I normally opt for a small as it can literally be shared by 2-3 people. I've never ordered the large but I assume it can feed a family easily! The Cajun seasoning and salt makes for perfect match to any burger! Finally as you wait for your awesome creation, why not munch on some free peanuts. Yes folks unlimited free peanuts while you wait! Go and enjoy yourself. read more

Always love this location. Today was odd. Long day at work it was 953pm and I was walking in to get a late night meal for my gf and I. I open both doors and walk up to the counter and they tell me they are closed. Door says 10pm, it's 953pm. The doors are open. What am I missing?????? read more

Five Guys - Burgers Near Me - East Rutherford, New Jersey

I never realize until now that I had a Five Guys in a local strip mall next to Lowe's on Route 17. So I did a quick hit by getting my favorite test food, hot dogs. This place is a nice size and I don't see having a lack of tables here if you want to sit and hang and it's much cleaner than the NY joints. I order a Bacon Hot Dog with just mustard and radish with a small fries. Don't get bigger fries sizes because Five guys always reload more fries into the bag so a small good end up being a large. That cashiers was nice and friendly and ask what I wanted on my hot dog since I didn't realize that they had lots of options, not like some places that only have a 2 or 3 condiments at side counters with the salt and pepper. The hot dog was pretty could I will add some sauerkraut next time to make it better and the fries are great while still hot but get soggy when they cool down so eat fast. Oh and yes, unlimited free peanuts while you wait, so go and enjoy yourself. I saw people ask for bags and walk off with 3 or more pounds of them. read more

First time I've ever beento a Five Guys. I ordered a bacon cheese hot dog with grilled mushrooms. It had 1 hot dog cut in half lengthwise, on a regular sized hot dog bun. 1 piece of cheese cut in half to cover the whole length of the bun. 1 strip of bacon. Let me repeat that, ONE strip of bacon on a bacon dog. 3 pieces of a sliced mushroom. Let me repeat that, THREE pieces of a sliced mushroom. For $8????!!! I'll never go back to a Five Guys. read more

How are you gonna serve a pregnant lady food that was WRONGLY given to another person who drove away with that order, came back to correct the server's mistake.. and have it pass for the original order to the right customers?!?! That's just plain WRONG. For whoever the manager is for this specific location.... I would reconsider your protocols on how to properly and professionally provide customer service especially during a current WORLD PANDEMIC. Just saying... read more

I have to say that the employees are so amazing here! Went back in after leaving with a burger that was wrong, but totally my fault. This is a pretty good burger spot! This is one of the places where you WILL get full from eating everything. I love getting fries because they will stuff it to the top which is great. I've been coming here since high school (which is about like 6 years now) and I will keep coming. read more

I went to the E. Rutherford location for the second time. I gave it another chance, but boy! do I regret it. All the positive reviews from newspapers and magazines, what were they thinking!? Five Guys had a sign that said they cook their burgers are well-done and juicy. How in the heck can a burger be juicy when it is well-done? I know why people think the burgers are so good... because when you can put anything imaginable on your burger it causes you not to taste the meat! The garbage you put on the burger makes it juicy! I had a cheese burger, no toppings so I can taste the meat. I always have it that way. Well my burger was well-done with no taste!!! Geez!all that money I spent for that one burger! I do have to say I thought their fries were pretty good. I also liked their free peanuts; the peanuts are good to eat while your waiting. So another star for effort. read more

Five Guys - Burgers Near Me - East Rutherford, New Jersey

Located at a strip area off of route 17 North is Five Guys. They have a good amount parking spaces which they share with other shops to accommodate their customers. There is a good amount of tables at this location with a self served drink station. Typical Five Guys menu with the burgers and fries. I usually get the single patty all the way, the double is too much eat. Not a real fan of double meat hamburger's anyway. They are usually generous with the fries they give you. If you order the regular fries there's enough for three people can eat them. The restaurant is clean and you have unlimited roasted peanuts to eat while you wait for your food. Your order is always given in a brown to go bag, but you can always sit and eat. read more

A burger and fries chain that originated in the Northern VA/DC area which has been expanding in recent years and just recently reached this area of New Jersey. Their new store on 17 in E Rutherford open this week and the kid wanted to go so we stopped in today. As with the couple of times I've been to the VA/DC locations, the burgers were fresh and tasty and the fries were also quite good. Both burgers and fries are made from fresh, not frozen stock, and it shows in the taste of the food. The menu is short. You can order single or double burgers, single or double cheeseburgers, with or without bacon. You can also add any or all of the 15 free toppings offered. Also available are Hot dogs, cheese and/or bacon dogs. Again, available with the toppings. For the non meat eaters among us they also offer a veggie sandwich, not a "veggie burger" (basically a bun with as many/much of the toppings you want). They also offer a grilled cheese sandwich. I really like the freshness of the burgers and the taste and texture of the fresh cut fries. That said though, I think the prices are just a tad on the high side. $15 for 2 (less than 14lb) cheeseburgers, 1 order of fries and 1 drink seems a bit much, as does 60¢ a slice for cheese (the difference between a burger and a cheeseburger.) On the other hand the doubles are probably a decent value. As are the drinks at $1.79/1.99 as they are refillable. The peanuts which they give away (big open box sitting in the dining room) are also a nice touch. All in all, if the taste of fresh ingredients is something you appreciate, then you can do far worse than Five Guys. read more

Four stars for Five Guys, hoorah! Overall, Five Guys is my favorite fast food chain (well, really, the only fast food chain I frequent), and this particular location is the greatest. The food is the usual Five Guys fare -- I love the choices. You can get single patty or two, and any combination of toppings and sauces. Go ahead and try the "Cat D" -- single patty, raw onions, jalapenos, and BBQ sauce -- and your life will never be the same! Great fries (cajun or plain) and free peanuts! This location has some of the best customer service I've encountered in a long time. The employees always seem to be working hard; if not cooking, they're ringing up customers, cleaning tables, and even straightening chairs. The last three times I've gone (over many, many weeks, I swear), someone's asked me how my day was. Pleasantries and reliable food quality, for the win! read more

Hands down the best fast food burger I've ever had! My favorite is the little bacon burger with pickles and ketchup! YUM! Love the fact that they have malt vinegar for the fries! Here's some things to note if it is your first time there: 1-If you order a regular fry, it is enough to feed 3 people because they fill up a cup of fries PLUS they toss a ton in your bag. 2-The Little Burgers are standard burger size, The "regular" burgers are 2 patties. 3- Everything is cooked in peanut oil and there are open containers of peanuts to munch on so if you are allergic, definitely avoid this place! read more

It took me two visits to formulate my opinion that this place is damn good. Two patties with whatever your heart desires for toppings and a mound of French fries that's so enormous you'll forgive the fry guy for keeping them submerged for a minute too long. Great burgers. I had mine 'all the way' and it was spectacular. Fries are really tasty too. Nice touch in that you get WAY more fries than your cup holds. I liked the iced tea machine. Free peanuts as you wait is a nice touch. Can't wait to go back and have another burger. read more

Ordered an all the way burger with Cajun fries. Dissatisfied bc it didn't bring the usual five guys fire. Also, the fries were not spicy as they usually are. I still think five guys is the best but this location isn't where it's at. read more

In three words: greasy, heavy, and huge! First, if you're allergic to any nuts, don't walk within 10 feet of the door. Crates and crates of peanuts, it smells nutty, FULL of peanuts, everything in cooked in peanut oil. It takes a long time to get a burger and fries, 30 minutes is just to long. They are also a leading factor in obesity, the portions are insane. A small fry feeds 2 hungry people (at least!) and they were so greasy the bag they came in actually got over-saturated and tore. The burgers were okay, nothing you couldn't get at a old diner. I left with my arteries over-clogged and the idea to bring my 6'4 policeman uncle here.. because he eats like he's eating for 5. read more

I think it's by far the best fast food burger joint! I ordered: Little cheeseburger: there's nothing "little" about it! It's about the size of a reg. burger at Wendy's for example. Love how you can pick all the topping you want on your burger. I got mine with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, and ketchup. Large fries: OMFG!!! It's a whole brown bag of fries!!!!!! There was 3 of us and we couldn't finish it! Drink: I didn't feel like drinking soda so I got the sweeten green tea. YUMMY!!! It was light and sweet. How many fast food place have green tea?!!! Only Five Guys! All-in-all: LOVE this place. I will be back! read more

Great burgers, but really stay for the 80s rock. I was jamming and toe-tapping while enjoying my burger and fries. Oh, and they're generous with the salt here. I didn't mind, the taste was so over the top good. It's like dying and waking up in the Garden of Eden beef. read more

There are only 3 animals that will eat until they explode: goldfish, dogs, and men.... I don't know who's fault it is (mine or Five Guys for having so many toppings), but my sandwich is always a slippery mess and best eaten behind closed doors.
