It was ok. It reminds me of house burgers, like the old Eddie Murphy routine, a burger your mom would make, messy and sloppy and in the end you would whine about going to McDonalds. Except I whine about going to In N Out. The burger was just too wet. I'm not sure why it was wet, it's not like they water the burgers, but toasting the bun would really make it a better burger experience. I had asked for grilled onions, but they messed up and put grilled onions and mushrooms. I hate grilled mushrooms. That plus the soggy bun lead me to peel off the bottom bun and the offending mushrooms and just not eat it. The burger itself is well cooked. No complaints there. The fries were ok too. The cajun spice adds a little spice, but isn't overdone. The fries were a little mealy. We ate about half a regular size and that was enough. The restaurant itself is clean and employees were friendly. It's not my favorite burger place, it's good enough for what it is. read more

At one point, five guys was my go-to burger joint. They offered a well made burger with any topping under the sun, had some killer fries and free peanuts to top it off. Today, I had the five guys experience to make me not want to eat five guys ever again; the food just does not meet the bar anymore. The burger was cold... That doesn't make sense to me... The fries were soggy and barely warm, and their water cup is tiny... I know you don't make money if people get water, but some people don't want soda... I see a 32oz soda cup alongside a 2 oz water cup... They could be having an off day but my whole party was not satisfied in the least with the meal and 2 people felt ill shortly afterwards. Pretty decently sized burger for $6. However, the burger appeared to be slapped together without care or attention. The patty was dry; it was very well done. Condiments were lacking severely. There was only half a lettuce, 2 pickles, and NO mushrooms! The buns, though, are pretty good although it could use a lot less mayonnaise. Fries are $5 for a large. We were happy with our fries. Again, our order demonstrated lack of care because the fries were kind of dumped in the bag. We'd recommend just going with the fries if you do come here. Atmosphere is too loud and there is heavy foot traffic. Perfectly fine place to kill time while we're waiting for a movie but we would never come here on purpose. read more

Honestly I like Five Guys more than In-N-Out... Especially their fries. At In-N-Out the fries are too airy and soft, but at Five Guys they're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Best I've had at a fast food place. I ordered a "Little Cheeseburger" with everything on it which was enough for me. Everything includes mayo, mustard, grilled onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and grilled mushrooms, and pickles all included in the price. You can also get hot sauce or BBQ sauce, along with a couple different types of peppers, for free. (I may be forgetting something, it's a lot!) The bun was soft and chewy and the patty was juicy and cooked really well. Great burger. I tried a sip of my friend's vanilla shake and t was great too! I'd definitely come back here over In-N-Out. My other go-to is The Habit... Not sure who wins between The Habit and Five Guys but both are better than In-N-Out :p read more

I love 5 guys, and I used to come regularly to this location. But yesterday was a very bad experience. The burger was very sloppy. Missed an add-on that I specified, and some that manage to get in was in negligible amount. They missed my drink. Had to remind them with a receipt. Throughout all this, the staff was busy talking and goofing off while preparing my food. Management needs to come and inspect this. Very disappoined. read more

I ordered Uber eats from this restaurant last night around 8:30. I ate only half my mini cheeseburger and half the Cajun fries and decided i was gonna save the rest for later. Well let me tell you that i did not end up saving any of it for later. It all ended up in my trash this morning after i spent two hours last night in an unreal amount of pain. I was sweating, puking, and felt like i needed to go to the ER for about 2-3 hours from 3:30-5:30 am. This was about 8 hours after i had eaten this meal. The woman seemed annoyed by my phone order by the tone of her voice. :/ And one of our bacon burgers had the incorrect toppings. But the food overall was good. We ordered 2 little burgers and 2 bacon burgers, and cajun/regular fries on the side. The cajun fries are one of my favorites but prefer the crispy ones. I had not been to a five guys in many years as I remembered my last experience was overpriced and food not worth it...nothing has changed. Working on a project nearby to this place I decided to give them another shot. The fries were soggy and under seasoned. I asked for a small and the overflow in the bag was just extra, much more to the bin I guess? The two burger patties were overcooked to the crumbling point when eaten. The bun was overly soggy and falling apart as all stuffings fall all over your tray. The one star is for the soda machine being on par for a quality fountain drink. I would love to give this rating more stars but I couldn't with our experience. My husband is Argentinan & Mexican - his first language was Spanish and he is very much fluent. For personal reasons, he decided to grow out his hair to eventually donate - he's been throwing up his awkward length hair into a small bun after work to keep it out of his face. The cashier and the cook had the audacity to make fun of my husband's appearance in Spanish right in front of him!!! Saying he looks like a little girl with a ponytail & that's an embarrassing excuse for a 'man bun' lol I get that most people talk crap about customers but you're supposed to do it behind their backs not right in front of them. I pressured my husband to say something in Spanish to them but he didn't want to make them feel awkward or bad but Spanish is a very commonly known language and they should be more careful. read more

They claim to be the best burger (i.e. Reader's Choice Winner Best Burger, Best Burger in NY), or at least those are the multitude of signs plastered all over their walls. I almost wished I took a picture of the posters! Their menu consists of burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, fries, drinks, and milkshakes. Given that they are considered the "best burger/hamburger," we decided to get a small cheeseburger, regular cheeseburger, and share a medium coke and regular fries. Toppings are all free so I loaded my cheese burger with all the toppings except the jalapeño peppers and tomato. When we came here there was already a line of people. After, we ordered we had to wait even longer. So we probably had to wait 30-35 minutes total and I was starving. Customer service was slow as a snail pace so I give them (3 stars). The fries were fresh cut potato wedges, not frozen, dump into a grease pan, overly salted McDonald fries! The fries were indeed excellent and the highlight for this burger joint! I give them 5 stars for their fries. They should have signs saying "best fries in town!" The burger was not the best burger, though they do use fresh beef. I have had more tasty, juicy, appetizing burgers elsewhere. So, for their burgers, I give them 3.5/4 stars. read more

Dublin 5 guys we've been to other locations and this one is ok. All he trash cans were jammed full and there was only two customers plus us in the store. The young lady was busy sweeping the floor that looked pretty clean and for some reason kept sweeping around the customer seating area and not in the vacant spots. Weird... but whatever. Comparing the floor to the trash, I would have taken care of that first as initial appearance can make or break a customer experience or at least that's what I remember in retailZ the burgers were good and the small order of fries was plenty for me and hubby to split. Wanted to get some hot dogs, only to find out at the cashier that they were out of hot dog buns. Disappointing to say the least. Sacrificed plans and ordered burgers, fries, and a fountain drink. They don't bother to ask if its for here or to-go because every order they brown bag it. The oil from the fries leak through the bag and reminds you of how greasy it is, as you eat it. Taste-wise, the burger was fresh and good on size. The fries are better at In-n-out or McDonalds. Fountain drinks are modern where you use the touchscreen to select which soda you want and flavor. Overall, if this wasn't next to the Regal theatre, I would not have given a visit. The price is above average if you compare other burger joints that are name brand. read more

We gave in and decided to try Five Guys. I've heard mixed reviews both of love and hate but none in between. Surprisingly, I'm in between. This location is ridiculously packed. We went on a Friday, around 7pm, and the line was almost out the door. It was terribly messy with peanut shells all over the floor and dirty tables. While in line, I kept my eyes peeled for an empty table and scored one mid way to the register. My fiancé ordered while I waited patiently surrounded tightly with packed tables and screaming kids. It was not what I expected. I LOVE the free toppings - all you want and how you want it. I ordered a Little Cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, lettuce, & tomatoes. I also got jalapenos and pickles on the side. My fiancé ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with ketchup, lettuce, tomato, & pickles. We shared a large order of french fries and drink. The total was over $20. A bit steep for fast food. Much like everyone else, we munched on peanuts while waiting for our # to be called. I was anxious to try their burger and at first bite, I noticed mine had bacon. It was a nice mistake because the bacon was extra crispy and I really liked it. The size of the "Little" Cheeseburger was perfect for me. My fiancé's Bacon Cheeseburger was quite big. He actually removed some toppings to flatten it a bit but he thoroughly enjoyed it. The large fries are enough for 3 people to share. It was a bit much for just 2 of us. It lacked flavor so we added plenty of salt, which I hate to do, but at least it wasn't soggy or soft. Maybe next time we'll try the cajun fries. The food is decent but the only similarity to In N Out is the red and white decor. I'm not sure why everyone wants to compare these 2 chains when they offer different options. Yes, your fries are delicious and still considered "one of the best," but the appeal of your burgers just don't cut it anymore. Not after having the savory and oh so tender burgers from Five Guys. Made my way... No, not animal style but with only the toppings I love.... bacon, cheese, grilled onions, jalepenos, and barbeque sauce. Damn, that's a darn good burger. I love the way the tender meat just melts in your mouth. Now, that's quality! Don't expect those typical flat, machine formed patties that requires constant chewing to digest. Don't expect your burger to be heavily doused in secret sauces to mask the unpleasant and bland taste of the poor quality meat.... But DO expect a tender gourmet burger cooked the way you want it! I've been reading about Five Guys Burgers for months now and must admit I have been intrigued. We went in the middle of the day, so we didn't have to wait in a long line to order. Lots of free toppings to choose from and a much more extensive menu than that of In-N-Out. I ordered the little cheeseburger, and hubby ordered the regular bacon cheeseburger - we shared a large fries "cajun" style. First, the size of the "little" burger was pretty decent. The meat wasn't anything spectacular and was a bit more on the dry side than I like. With all of the toppings, the burger wound up fairly packed and after a few bites, messy and soggy. Not a horrible burger, but not the best I've had. I can't say I'm a big fan of their fries either - perhaps it was the cajun style that threw me off. They tasted like someone dumped a ton of Lawry's Seasoning Salt on them - super duper salty. The flavor was a bit overwhelming half way through eating them. They weren't soggy like so many others reported, but not super crisp either. The ambiance was obnoxious - I love 80's music, but not when it's blasting so loud that you can't carry on a conversation with the person right next to you. Had to go outside and eat because the music was SO LOUD. I still don't get the whole peanut thing either... So, my overall impression is that they are a decent burger, but not so great that I would drive out of my way to eat. I'll probably get a lot of heat for saying this...but in a contest of Five Guys vs. In-N-Out...I pick In-N-Out. read more

Don't get the hype about this place AT ALL. Visited this place for the first time a few days ago and won't ever go back. It's overpriced and not even good food. I ordered our fries "well" and the cashier said they could make them a little extra crispy. Well, what we got was gross, cold and soggy fries that we didn't even finish. On my overpriced little burger, I think they must have put 15 pickles on the damn thing. No thank you. Oh yeah, and I went to use the ladies room and to wash my hands, well the toilet was completely backed up and absolutely disgusting. Not really what you want to walk in to right before you are going to eat. You could tell it had been this way for a while and the staff did absolutely nothing to deal with it or even put a sign on the door that it was out of order. There were definitely workers standing around while we were there so there's no excuse for this. No bueno! read more

The hamburgers are mediocre. Overcooked. Bland. Not special. The fries do not do the place any justice. They are very salty and soggy. Please do not compare this place to In N' Out! In N'Out deserves better comparisons. The only thing I enjoyed were the free peanuts. read more

I've been to Five Guys 3 times and I give it an overall rating of 3.5 stars considering the following. Pros: - Burger patty is hand formed. - Good quality juicy meat. - An abundant amount of topping choices. - Fresh hamburger buns. - Employees are extremely nice and patient when ordering/deciding what you want on your burger and/or hot dog. Cons: - Cheese is not melted. - Fries are NOT good. - No milkshakes or onion rings. - Bit pricey. - When eating in it can be very hard to find a seat and pretty noisy. Just know the regular burger is 2 patties, a little burger is 1 patty! Weird, I know. 5 Guys is a good place to get a good and quick custom burger. read more

not sure this place deserves only 3 stars overall. i thought it was similar to In N Out burger in quality but in a "bigger" burger. yes i know you can get a virtual unlimited stack of patties in an In N Out burger but it gets messy after 3 greasy patties. Here at FGBAF it's one bigger flavorful patty. too bad this big chain hasn't hit the west bay area yet. actually maybe that is a good thing. one 2012 resolution was to eat healthier and lose a few lbs. ha ha.
