We'd never been here before, but we knew that In-N-Out is usually consistent in quality and service, and this was very true in San Ramon too! Sunday evening is apparently a super busy time for this location (and many others). As we drove up I was a bit worried b/c the drive thru line went on and on about 2+ blocks past the parking lot! In fact, we saw the line stretching out before we could even see the store. Thankfully, we were dining in, and it actually didn't take that long, I was surprised people insisted on going through the drive thru as my experience is that it's much faster to just order in the store and take out if you were not wanting to dine in. In any case, I went to order for our group while some of us went to meet our friend and quickly found a table with enough seats for all of us. A nice family shared 1 seat w/us. It took about 15-20 for our order, so it wasn't too long at all while we chatted and waited, the time flew by as we enjoyed our conversation. While waiting, we also saw staff cleaning/picking up and wiping up tables, and sweeping while we ate and they were friendly and quick when we picked up our order too. Our burgers were fresh, hot, tasty, and done well, so everyone was happy and the fries were also hot out of the fryers, and our drinks cold and refreshing on that hot summer day. There's not much at In-N-Out's in terms of ambiance, haha, esp when it was bustling, but it wasn't too loud even though it was packed, so we could enjoy each other's company. Overall, we were happy with our dining experience at this In-N-Out Burger location, and we plan to be back and enjoy more delicious and fresh burgers and fries with our customized orders (animal style and/or just grilled onions)!

Thankfully we were dining in because we were meeting a friend who lives in the area here for dinner. We quickly found a table bc it was quite packed inside too. The wife ordered and then we waited and got our food about 20m later, really not that long at all considering what the line looked like outside, I'd totally come in and take out it'd definitely be faster. The burgers and fries were fresh and delicious as usual. Nothing special but every bit predictable which is how it should be. Fries were very fresh and hot, and the burgers were perfectly done down to the buns. All good. All in all, this store was clean, staff were friendly and hardworking, service was good, and the food was good. We'll be back, but maybe not on a Sunday evening.

I would alternate the Waffle Fries with the onion rings (two favorites). The menu has changed a little over the years. The San Ramon Carl's Jr is located with a bunch of other restaurants so lots of competition. Carl's had a deal on the Cali Burger that you could make a combo deal for another $2, good value. 1 STAR!!! CHECK YOUR FRIES BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE DRIVE THRU!…read more I'm done giving the McDonald's in San Ramon the benefit of the doubt. This has happened too many times, and at this point it feels deliberate. Look at the photos. These are supposed to be full orders of fries, yet once I got home both containers were barely half full. And this is not the first time. And compare that with McDonald's own advertising. Their large fries are pictured packed to the top and overflowing above the carton. Then look at the photo of what I actually received. The difference is ridiculous. If that's the portion you advertise and sell as a "large," then that's what customers should reasonably expect to receive, not a carton with a huge empty cavity and handful of fries sitting at the bottom. I have literally watched employees squeeze the bottom of the fry carton inward while filling it. That makes the container hold significantly fewer fries while still making the fries sit high enough at the top to LOOK full when they hand you the bag. Then you drive home, the fries settle, and you discover you paid for a full order but received half a carton. I've also seen another trick where the fry container is put into the bag at an angle or practically sideways, so the fries bunch toward the opening and look like they're overflowing. It creates the appearance that you're getting this huge, generous serving. Take the carton out and stand it upright and suddenly you see how little is actually in there. That isn't an accidental short pour. Those are specific ways of making an underfilled container appear full.
