Every time I make a pit stop to shop in the Burlington area, this is where I make a quick pit stop if i'm in the mood for a quick cheap burger, and when i'm not in Mcdonalds mood. It ain't no AAA beef here but for all the toppings you're allowed to request for as part of the price, no complaints here. What i like best here is just the location too, and being the corner, lots of light & its square shape layout with some bar stool seating, it's pretty diner like too. And lots of shopping here in this plaza to work off the calories. ;) read more

Pretty good burger place, if you eat burgers. I was a bit confused by why they have peanuts...I didn't personally think it went too well with burgers, but what do I know? The prices are pretty high for burgers. The options aren't great for vegetarians or people who don't eat beef. Zero chicken options and one veggie option. All in all I spent over $10 for a veggie sandwich, medium drink and medium fry. I would have spent that at Red Robin or similar. The fries were delicious and addicting,and the small would've been more than enough for two of us. Huge portion! The veggie (mushrooms, green pepper, onions, tomato) sando was okay but not too exciting. The service was pretty good, the guys cooking were laughing and joking, which we appreciated. Will for sure go back for the fries but I'll probably skip the veggie burger. read more

I've been to Five Guys before where I live in California, but their service hasn't ever come close to being as good as what I experienced at this one! I was greeted with a genuine, enthusiastic smile, my order was prepared perfectly, I saw people out in the dining room cleaning and making the customer experience great the whole time I was eating, and I even had a manager come to my table to ask if my food was great and offered to get me a drink refill. I'm only in town because I work for another popular "fast casual" restaurant that's coming into the area very soon. That being said, it is difficult to impress me in terms of customer service. Also, I can only hope this company is treating the employees here right, or I might have to "steal" them to come work with me! But in all seriousness, these guys gave me a great customer experience. Where to start? The burger patties were extremely bland. I have never had a burger so flavorless in my entire life. Kraft American singles for cheese? So absolutely disgusting. Where is all this flavor everyone keeps talking about?!!! The buns were mushy and squished. The fries were soggy and unseasoned. It was a catastrophic fail. Not all Five Guys are created equal, this is our favorite and we almost always get lunch here when passing thru Mount Vernon or hitting the Burlington Costco across the street. The Little Burgers are plenty big enough, and one small fry is more than enough for both of us to share. I think that people in this day and age of pre-packaged junk are unsure of what a "burger joint" is. Five Guys is such a place. Though it IS a chain, the "good food cooked well" is still a major ingredient of the restaurant. The burgers are GREAT and the fresh-cooked fries will make you wonder why you'd ever eat Golden Arches fries. The price... well, it's not exactly great and, unlike places like Red Robin, the decor doesn't make up for it (took off half a star for each). But the food is worth it! The wait time is low and the staff is very friendly and patient. It DOES cater to all but, if you have really little kids, bring your own distractions! The place is super clean. I like to go here with my Dad after we go on errands together. It is fun to spend some time with my father in a place that only serves one of our favorite foods made to order with lots of topping options. The freedom to choose is really nice. I love that they have Coke Freestyle machines too, as Mellow Yellow Zero Peach flavor cannot be found anywhere else. I am less thrilled with the fries, but they are fun being served so many in the bag after they fill the cup. The peanut appetizers are fun too. Usually the wait is about 10 minutes for food sometimes 15. Lookin' for 2 burgers & 3:30 on a Sunday - rating a 3.5 stars, includes a 'bonus star' for 2 reasons: we like beef & everybody's gotta get training sometime. 2 burgers came out tasty & accurate; malted shake was plain vanilla, & we came in after 3-4 other parties -- all orders were called up, in rapid fire, resulting in confusion & more waiting time. Since the last visit here: 5 G's moved the peanuts to the front doors, away from waiting-to-order line & removed the chairs... not kool x2. Guess what? Stopped for burger and fries on way home. They did a great job taking care of gluten allergy and fries were seasoned perfectly - so good!

The burger is okay, not that great and for the price I'd rather have In n Out, they are very expensive. I also have an issue with their soda machine, I don't like the multiple types of soda coming out of the same faucet, I've never found those to taste as good as the normal ones. I just have to give a plug for myself. I see people rating based off price and comparing to Red Robin. Everytime I have visited 5 Guys, I get great big burgers, tons of fries, all I can drink. Burgers match, and then some, to Red Robin, minus the hassle of all involved with a sit down restaurant, and the fries are fresh and great, maybe not bottomless fries, but I never can finish them all. In my opinion, 5 Guys should not be considered fast food because it is delicious, unlike most fast food. Believe me, I have had my share of fast food and enjoy it mostly too. This was the first time I had been to Five Guys and I will not be returning. The lettuce on the burger was brown, the bun was mushy, the burger was barely cooked enough, and they dump the french fries into the bag (part of them are in a cup) but it makes everything greasy. 6 pm Friday night. 9 people in line ahead of us. 4 minutes and we were ordering. Fast, friendly and efficient. My first visit to a 5 Guys. Lived in LA for 3 years and had an In N Out 2 blocks away. Pined for one here in NW WA. The bottom line - the burgers tonight were at least as good if not better (the meat is fantastic) and the fries at 5 Guys rocked the house. Since I'm frugal, my standards are high. The small burger was your typical flat patty. What made it tasty was the toppings. You can choose from a wide variety of toppings at no additional cost. Does that make it worth the price of the burger? I would say no. I'm not a huge fan of the fries either. I believe they are hand cut and fresh, using somewhat local potatoes, but they definitely need a dash of salt or ketchup. The service was quick and the seating area clean. read more

This place reminds me of In'n'Out, with their small/limited menu and the way the kitchen is open, as the customer you can watch your food be made. The burgers were good sizes but the grilled cheese was small. The soda dispenser is touch screen, that was pretty cool! read more

Five Guys was A-OK but not great. Service is like a fast food restaurant but they charge like it's a regular sit down restaurant. The burgers are bigger than most fast food restaurants and they cook them right in front of you so you can see that they are fresh and not some precooked and frozen crap that they microwaved. The fries are pretty good and they give you lots of them. They put a cup in the bottom of the bag for the fries and then just dumped a bunch of fries in the bag. They have a chalk board where they write what farm the potatoes are from. It doesn't really matter but it makes it seem like your food is coming from a real family farm and not being manufactured in a giant factory. There are peanuts you can take and eat while you wait for your food to be cooked. Also doesn't really matter. They probably do it to scare off people with peanut allergies since they cook with peanut oil. I'll probably eat there once a year or so. read more

Heard nothing but horrible reviews from various co-workers but I wanted to give it a shot for myself. This place is FANTASTIC! Burgers were perfect and right up there with Dick's Drive-in quality.
