When ordering this in the past, they always had tomato, pickle, lettuce and sauce and this time it was just ketchup on one side of the bun, a dry meat patty, pickles and a piece of cheese. Love, love, love the burgers, fries, and shakes here!! My kids always love their shakes as they offer birthday cake ice cream shakes and butterscotch and blackberry flavors. I'm a huge fan of supporting local shops, but the service is mid. Not super friendly staff, imho. Ambiance is also meh as it's window service and the gravel road is dusty and it's more of a "take out and eat elsewhere" rather than eating in the car. I like drive-in spots, but prefer the once's where they offer at least picnic tables with grass or something cozy and cute. Finally tried this place after years of driving by. We went with a group and ordered the captains platter (2), crispy chicken burger, the western burger, clam strips and fries, garlic cheese curds with jalapeño ranch, peanut butter oreo milkshake (2), oreo milkshake and a raspberry milkshake. The milkshakes are incredibly good. I would happily stop by for one of them or all of them. The cheese curds were like little chunks of garlic bread with cheese and I couldn't stop myself from devouring them. The western burger was awesome and the crispy chicken was perfect. Me and my husband ate here a few nights ago and we both got The Net Deluxe burger, large order of fries and he got a medium Blackberry shake with extra blackberries and I got a medium Chocolate shake and everything tasted so good I kept raving about it. When we were ordering the employee who took our order was so nice and the other employees were really nice as well. Went for a Sunday drive and happened upon The Net when I was getting hungry. Love the little drive-ins so thought I would turn around and give it a try. I had The Net Double, which is a deluxe with an extra burger patty. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and their own burger sauce. Cheese is extra but it came with two slices and one between the patties. The patties were juicy and plenty of toppings without being too crazy. I also had the cowboy chips, which don't appear to be part of the regular menu. They were slices of potatoes sliced thin and then fried and seasoned with salt and pepper. Some were well done but most still had some "meat" left and were tasty. If you like a thick milkshake, this is your place. There is no seating inside, but do have four picnic tables outside in a well kept area with some grass. Most people were eating in their cars which there is a lot of parking around the building. There will be a wait for your food as it is all made fresh. They will announce your order number over the speakers so you can either wait in your car or walk around. read more

I've been a patron since 1986. Not a lot has changed over the years. Consistent system, consistent food, and nobody has an attitude. Post-COVID changed some of that. I'd be guessing at the real causes, but observations kind of support them. The food is as good as it always has been for a 50's drive-in. The major thing that took the wind out my sails was the subtle alterations in their menu. I used to adore their classic burger with a choice of condiment and veggie. As you can imagine, the price of the classic burger has ballooned to $4.75. Hey, that's okay, right? Wages are up costs are up, etc. But they have changed what's on the burger. Now it's ketchup, mayo, mustard. Want lettuce? You have to upgrade to the "deluxe" burger for $6+. So, a deluxe burger minus tomato, minus onion, and minus pickle, brings you back down to one condiment and one vegetable. No discount for removing ingredients. How about a "classic burger" to add lettuce or onions for $0.50? My trips to The Net will be severely curtailed after that move. Oh, and for transparency, they have a sign in the window saying they will charge you 4% for a card transaction fee. And basically guilt you into leaving a tip. They're hard workers and are paid well for their work, but guilt me into tipping? If I gave a good tip, I'd hope my order #9 might come out before order #7 or something. I'm feeling salty... go try their food, it's decent. Try the Sea Dog! But eyes open for sticker shock if you have been a regular as long as I have. read more

We went right at lunchtime on a Sunday so we did have to wait awhile for our food, but got a table right away (mostly because a lot of people took it to go). The best onion rings I've had. Their breading was terrific, solid crunch but not too overwhelming and masking the onion flavor. We decided to make a pit stop here to grab some lunch on a Friday afternoon on our way to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. We ordered a double burger, deluxe burger and small fries. It took a while to come out, but that was expected since the food is fresh and made to order. They have a few picnic tables for people to sit at and watch eagles fly around (if you're lucky).
