The fries were a bit limp but the free peanuts made up for that didn't have to wait that long and the price was not bad at all ! Burgers are great, but the fries are OK. They kinda taste burnt, but still better than Mcdonalds or Burger King. When walking in I noticed the floors were dirty. The place wasn't even crowded so I don't get why no one came to clean up. Also i hate that the food is really expensive too. 6.25 for a double patty burger? Are you kidding me? Keep in mind I didn't order a soda or fries, so I don't understand how a burger can cost so much, and in Boise of all places!! I could understand if it was in New York, Florida, Texas, or California, but an irrevelent place like Boise?! Finally went to 5 guys after hearing so much about how it is the new best burger place, better than or comparable to in and out. I was actually very disappointed. It was ok. Just barely ok. Most fast food burger joints (non chain) have better burgers and fries than 5 guys. The way they build the burgers is almost conveyer belt style, and it tasted that way. Also the bacon was actually bits of bacon that I think was deep fried for a weird almost "artificial crispyness" that I didn't like. The free peanuts is a pretty cool feature. It might be part of the hype that I got about this place, but I would rather go to almost any mom and pop type burger joint. read more

Great food. My complaint is that I had to wait 35 minutes for my order. They knew they were behind and didn't bother to warn me it would be awhile. I think twice about going there next time, especially because Smash Burger is just up the street. read more

Just ate at the restaurant and was impressed with the consistency of the good food. Seems like everytime we eat the burgers are moist and fresh tasting. Order a large fry and got enough for four people. I also like having the vinegar with the fries. Reminds me of Boardwalk fries in Rehoboth, Delaware. The only reason why they didn't get five stars (I know it's not the restaurants fault) is the noise. There was a lot of it and it was hard to hear the person across the table from me. read more

Five guys definitely lives up to their great reputation. It's affordable for the quality of food. Their burgers are to die for and the service is always amazing. It's great for a night out or great lunch with the group. If you haven't tried it you're missing out big time! I would recommend this place to anyone. Mediocre at best. Fries are simply grease in a cup. I heard great things about them from friends across the nation, but this location is a big disappointment. Perhaps all they serve is grease layered on grease layered upon grease and that tastes good to some. Slow service and a filthy floor. GROSS. read more

This place has gone down the toilet. The entire staff was rude and half cooked. The Burger meat was tough and tasteless, the bun was puffed tasteless flour that compressed to 1/4" just in picking up the burger to eat. The fries, that they used to give you quite an ample amount of, you now get a TINY cup and they also are dry and tasteless. They are a McDonalds with very few choices. I drive by there everyday always wanted to try them so today I decided to go for it. The customer service was excellent that I will say. We spent 38 dollars for 3 Burgers and Fries and Drinks Have to say very disappointed my hamburger buns were very soggy. half my fries were burnt and the other half were soggy The other two people who I bought burgers for felt the same. the lettuce was soggy as well. The place was dead so I am sure everything probably sat their all day. The actual hamburger was seasoned well and tasted good I checked the reviews and other people say good stuff maybe they were having an off day. read more

$6.00 for a cold burger. I watched my son's and my bacon-cheese-burgers sit on the counter for 6 minutes open and 5 minutes wraped. Of corse they were cold when we recieved them. I did not have time to complain, but I will think twice before I go back. Gary read more

First visit to 5 guys tonight and NOT impressed it took to long to make the burger (especially since there were only 3 couples in the building) And then when we get home we find that neither of our burgers were made correctly to our order and the fries we just dumped all over inside the bag. Terribly disappointed in their customer service at this location today. My son went into ask for a cup of ice water for a care attendant who had gotten sick in the car while driving him. She had to pull over because she was having an allergic reaction. The staff charged him $2.50 for water. This is a young man who rarely approaches staff in a restaurant and was doing a good thing trying to take care of his helper. When I went in to ask if they had really charged him that, they basically said yes, too bad that I felt it was wrong. They offered him a smaller cup for free but he was trying to do the right thing and get more water for his friend. I feel like they knowingly took advantage of a young man in a vulnerable position. They even acknowledged that he seemed confused. They said "we have to cover the cost of our product" -- a load of BS since we all know that plastic cup probably cost them $0.05, which is a long way from $2.50. They lost a customer and her family today. We will never be back. Mostly, I am very sad they would treat people that way. read more

The worst service I've ever encountered at a "fast food" joint, and that is not an easy low to reach. I went there with my son on January 20, 2014 for a late lunch and it took over 20 minutes to recieve our order (two burgers and fries). It wasn't very busy since it was not the noon hour rush hour. Ten other patrons who ordered after us were served before us, including a huge order that came in ten minutes after we did. When I inquired about our order, the teen behind the counter dismissed my question without an explanation and turned her back to me. Then when we did get our food it was not very good. I found multiple chunks of gristle throughout my burger; the bun was extremely soggy as if placed on a very wet surface; and the fries were actually cold. If I'm going to drop $25 on lunch for two I can do a whole lot better at any of the many restaurants within a block of this Five Guys. Next time I will go next door to the sub restaurant, spend less money while getting better service and food. I will never go back to Five Guys, and I hope their business suffers. read more
