From hung over post game burgers to the meal that filled my belly before the game, Burger Belly was a staple of my college years. The food is always delicious. Order anything and everything on the menu. I have and will continue to. Of course, the Burger Belly burger is worth the order and you are likely to have leftovers if you don't come hungry. The fries and sides are worth snagging a few of. And as is standard when in the land of potatoes, be sure to snag some freshly made and chilled fry sauce. *chef's kiss* The whole staff is extremely sweet. In recent visits it was warming to see the staff still has many of the familiar smiling faces from my college years. And yes. The food is still just as scrumptious as I remember. Really can't beat the location being so close to the stadium and campus. They embrace it as well with the interior being decked out in Boise State gear and collectibles while still keeping that hometown burger spot motif and feel. I was going to pass on the BBQ sauce, but the friendly server was so proud of the fact that she had hand made it, that I decided to try it. Im very glad that I did! The service was great! The lady behind the counter very nice and offered us refills on our drinks before we left. The finger steaks were crispy and delicious. The fries were also fried to perfection. This place is small but mighty! I believe the owners are greek! Gyro was great tasting and great price. Meal combo comes with fries and a drink. Got the greek salad too minus olives and added chicken. Comes with an oil based greek dressing. Nice amount of food and so quick. They cook it right there behind counter. Yeah service was awful. Come in at 8:30 which isn't even that crazy of a time. We asked for a couple milkshakes and the lady was like "yeah it's 8:30 we're sold out of ice cream by now". Super unprofessional in my opinion. Way to make your customers feel unwelcome! read more

On 7/6/21, I visited Burger Belly in Boise for the first time. Located near the Boise State University campus, Burger Belly has been in business for almost 10 years. I regret not checking it out sooner. I got the Cheeseburger Combo with Fries ($7.15). It comes with a refillable drink. The service was great, my meal was made to order and my food was excellent! Everything About the burger, fries, homemade fry sauce and drink was perfection. The burger had great flavor. Per their website, their burgers are house ground and hand formed. The lettuce was crisp and the tomato was fresh. The fries and homemade fry sauce were excellent. One of the things that sets this cheeseburger combo apart from others is the attention to detail by the cook, Matthew. It's not a huge burger but it's perfectly built. The combination of all the elements makes for a great burger. I failed to get the name of the nice young woman who took and brought out my order, but she was wonderful too. She checked on me a couple of times, first to see how I liked my meal and then again to see if I was ready for a refill. Burger Belly is a small space that has several booths and tables available for indoor seating, as well as a beautiful patio with shaded tables. There is free parking on the side of the building. I have been here a couple of times. I like it so much that when my mom said, "Burger Belly??" I brought her in for lunch. Burger Belly is a place that I hope moves to a bigger location. There is a limited amount of space to put your purse or food. Parking can be challenging due to a small lot and the bar next door who may hold an event in the parking lot. Difficult to get in or out. I think their food is great. I love their burgers and fries. If you are not afraid of small spaces, love burgers, and looking for a place to go after a football game go to Burger Belly. read more

If I could rate this place a zero I would. My fiancee and I ordered the Burger Belly combo and the Grilled Cheese Combo, the worst 30 dollars we ever spent. The fries were warm not hot, the cheese was not even fully melted on the grilled cheese, and the hamburger was small. It costs 75 cents extra for some fry sauce that tasted terrible, we should have eaten the dry fries plain. Barely anyone was inside but it took them around twenty minutes to make our food. We substituted the sodas for shakes, they turned out to be super small. The photo makes the food look bigger than it actually is, the shakes were probably an 8 oz cup and tasted pretty much plain. With so many great burger joints around serving fresh tasty fries, you can't go cheap here! Burger time....again, nothing special here. The burger is made to order which is a plus, but the meat was bland. I had all the fixins with addition of onions. The bread was a bit stale in my opinion. Not my favorite place. Words cannot describe how much I enjoy a burger and tots from burger belly. I've been to this establishment several times prior to this review. Every time I have been there, I have never been disappointed. It was the first burger I had when I moved to the area as well as my first burger (which I inhaled) after the birth of my son! The prices are incredibly reasonable and a good delivery service is available if you are unable to pick the food up yourself. This was particularly helpful when I was admitted at the hospital downtown. My husband typically gets their bacon cheeseburger with either sweet potato fries or onion rings. Parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of day you go. It's a great place for take out. There are a few tables available though if you plan on dining there. read more

Remember in Spongebob when king Neptune ate a Krabby Patty, he spat it out and ate it again because it was that good? That was my experience with Burger Belly. To start off, the staff was all extremely friendly, and not a forced kind of friendly. They felt like family. They also had a great music selection, songs you know and kinda like, but not the songs you always hear on the radio. But the food. Holy crap. I got the burger belly (Two patties, bacon, grilled onions, tomato, lettuce, fry sauce, bbq sauce. Buns? Texas toast. They also put a slice of cheese on the top and bottom). It was freaking good. A burger that I will never forget and I hope visits me in my dreams. Food came quickly as well. The fries were pretty good as well. I was worried the sauce would overpower the rest of the burger but not at all. They put just enough on to create a beautiful burger symphony. To quote my lovely wife, "it's so flavorful." This is a place I will gladly come back to and try their other burgers (and maybe even their breakfast burrito). I'll be talking about this visit for years to come. Authentic. It's a mom and pop joint. Tiny. Clean. It's all good right off the Sysco truck but cooked to order before your eyes. It's a walk up with half a dozen tables. It's by the college so its got that starving student vibe but the prices are about what you'd pay at any Fortune 500 burger joint (IE McDonald's etc). And therein lies its success - it's NOT a chain, a corporate blood sucking entity. It's a real, honest to goodness family joint. Where the owner is working the counter and knows his regulars by name.
