I'm surprised by how mixed the reviews are for this location because I had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. What really stood out was that they greeted me right when I walked in and asked for the name on my pickup order. At other locations, I've sometimes waited at the pickup counter for 5+ minutes without anyone acknowledging me, even when my food was ready. That definitely wasn't the case here. After shopping for a microwave at Menards, we got hungry and decided to stop into Five Guys. The atmosphere was fun and bustling, with a few DoorDashers and some other customers in the store when we arrived. We ordered a large Cajun fry to go, and they did not disappoint! The fries were so hot and fresh that we were burning our fingers trying to eat them. They were perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and soft like mashed potatoes on the inside. By the time I pulled out of the parking lot, everyone had Cajun-coated fingers. The guys who helped us were really nice and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Yeah, no. Apparently, they secretly subcontract delivery to DoorDash through their own app... without telling you, and with zero support if anything goes wrong. I placed my order like usual. Got the confirmation, the tracking link, the estimated delivery--everything looked perfect. I even timed it with an upcoming appointment. I waited. And waited. Watched the tracking link. Then boom: my food is marked as delivered. Except--guess what? No food. No driver. No resolution. I call the store directly, and they basically say: "Oh well. That's DoorDash. We can't help you." Excuse me? I ordered through YOUR app. You took my money. And now you're shrugging your shoulders because you chose a third-party service that can't be reached when shit hits the fan? There is no DoorDash contact info anywhere in the app. No help button. No escalation process. No accountability. Just a dead-end tracking link, an unhelpful store manager, and a stolen bag of food I paid for and never received. So here I am: hungry, robbed, and completely ignored. Thanks for nothing. If you can't back up your own app, your own customer, or your own payment system, then why even pretend you're a functioning business? Employees gave my burger to the customer that ordered after me. When I asked if they had made a mistake the employee lost his cool and was raging in front of the manager who just watched. Won't be coming back, burger really wasn't on point either. read more

I've had Five Guys multiple times in the past, and it's always been great! However, our visit today could have been better. Food: 3/5 - My usual order is a bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms and onion. Yum! This time, I ordered a hamburger "all the way" (all the toppings) just to try it out. The burger had good flavor, but the bun was really soggy. I ended up taking it off and eating the rest with a fork. The fries were also very soggy, which is so disappointing for Five Guys because their food is usually SO GOOD! Service: 5/5 - We were greeted as soon as we walked into the building. You have some real hospitality! Ambiance: 5/5 - There were a couple other people inside eating, but the restaurant was clean and kept up nicely. We were excited to try this location. It had been about a decade since we tried a Five Guys, and we were curious. Previously, I liked the fries and was overly impressed with the burger, but this time proved me wrong. This location had very pleasant employees, they were friendly and very efficient. We had four different complicated orders, and were able to place the order and get our food is a timely manner. It was even dinner time with plenty of customers coming and going, so they seem to have their time management down. I was delighted that they got all of the order correct. Unlike other restaurants, they got all of the items in each burger/ shake correct, plus they did not seem to skimp out on the toppings. The burgers were very thick. Since they were doubles, we had to cut them with a knife to eat them. They were well seasoned, juicy and really delicious. The shakes were thick and equally delicious. The fries were well seasoned and tasted like board walk fries. This place has the flavor of good carnival food and also a throw back to a 50s dinner flavor. In my cheeseburger I got grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. For my shake I got peanut butter, salted caramel, Oreo cream, Oreo pieces and whipped cream. They were amazing! Since we carried out the fries do get a bit soggy, but they would crisp up in the over. They gave us sooo many fries, we have enough to make a dinner out of them. I did not know how big the portions were. We got two larger, and they filled basically an entire bag with fries. Five Guys burgers are my favorite fast food restaurant burgers. For those of you who have not been to a Five Guys, you can get grilled mushrooms and onions at no extra charge. There is always a few minutes wait as the burgers are always fresh off the grill. I have never had an overcooked and dried out burger. There are complimentary peanuts in the shell that you help yourself to. I always get some as I am not a fan of their French fries. They are the style that have not been pealed. Love everything about it. Depends on location of course but the food is great. The last time I visited the telegraph/Bloomfield location.... Hot dog (Chicago style) was excellent and my husbands double w/lettuce, tomato, onion was A-1. Fries are always great. Prompt service and clean. read more

We have always been a fan of Five Guys for their burgers and were excited when this location opened. The quality of the burgers is still there, but the execution is falling short. Every other location will tag your sandwich with a number tag so you know who's is who's when ordering multiple. The other thing is they are skimping on the fries. At every other location when you order they put in the cup of fries and dump an equal amount in the bag on top. This is at every location, so when you pay $7 for a large fry your planning to split with multiple people. This is disappointing as it feels like they are skimping as this happens every time, but only at this location. Your quality is there, but you are lacking in consistency with the brand. read more

They have good ole messy burgers and the best Cajun fries. This place is great because they have fresh ingredients and it's that classic burger taste you want. Spent $18 on a cheeseburger that came with an ice cold bun. Got home and had to heat the burger up in the microwave which resulted in the whole thing getting soggy and falling apart as I tried to eat it. $18 down the drain basically. read more
