Always love five guys! Awesome food and French fries! My toddler loves the burgers as well!

Yes, the burgers and fries are good, let's get that out of the way. But I think it's overpriced for what you get...like I said, its good, but not so much better than other places that are more affordable (like Corbetts, my personal favorite). I don't want to sound like that grumpy old man, but I find it impossible to enjoy eating in the restaurant. I get that they're trying to make it a fun atmosphere, but the way they scream out your order number is just plain annoying. On my last visit, the woman seemed to be doing it more for her personal enjoyment...screaming the number, and if the person dared not come up within 20 seconds, she'd scream it over and over again, louder and louder, and then one of the cooks would weigh in with an even more annoying "NUMBER XX, COME GET YOUR FOOOOOOOOOD." Got so bad that I simply wanted to leave. I doubt that I'll ever return, unless it was for quick take out. Oh, and on my last visit, they ran out of cheese. Seriously? A burger joint with no cheese. Terrible food burgers are greasy. The French fries tasted like they hadn't been washed. Prices were ridiculously high. I took one bite of that greasy burger and almost puked tasted like soap and grease threw it in the trash. If you're too lazy to peal the potatoes at least scrub the mud off them. TERRIBLE SERVICE. As a frequent DoorDash driver, I have been to many establishments and this has been the worst. I waited 30 minutes. The store claims they never got the order (after I watched 4 dashers leave with theirs). They magically found the order. Also I had to approach them after giving them the benefit of the doubt of being "busy" but nope just crappy service and does not check in with pick up orders or customers. So service is good from 5-9. Just don't go in before close. Otherwise the rude staff will do a great job making a sub par burger with a frown on their face. Burgers are decent anyways. But please can we get some Shake Shack in Raleigh? read more

Portions vary depending on who is working. Order a small fries and the cup is barely full one day, and the next day the portion is the right amount. Burgers are nice, except the buns are very greasy and soaked half the time. Overall, it's decent but it's definitely not worth the price. read more

First time eating at five guys and it was delicious! It is located across from Costco next to Chipotle. The manager was really friendly and made you felt welcomed. The restaurant is really clean and the atmosphere is really inviting. read more

They are totally failing at curbside service. Very frustrating. Second time we ordered in advance drove 10 minutes to get here. Got here when they said food would be ready but still have to wait. Now been 30 minutes since we ordered online and STILL no food. They shouldn't offer this service if they aren't equipped to provide if. read more

The place was super clean for a 5 guys. We got our food right away and they had the cool soda machines. I wasn't pleased however with how I was treated when I ordered a bacon cheese hot dog. The register gal rolled her eyes at me and then asked me if I wanted anything on the dog, I told her that I wanted grilled onions. She rolled her eyes again. I asked for my cup for a fountain drink twice and avoided giving it to me until I just took my cup. Then she went to her co-workers and very obviously talked about me to her co-workers. I wasn't too upset because it's just 5 guys and not a 5 star restaurant however I would've liked to have been treated a little differently. Great food though read more

Burger ready WAY ahead of fries. Fries nice and hot-burger wasn't . Pros: Delicious fries and good quantity, service fairly quick Cons: Burger sat on counter getting cold and soggy waiting for fries, all the tables I checked were "stickie" and needed a good cleaning, Cost.....SMALL burger/fries/drink almost $12.00!! For a family of four that's almost $50.00 for a bare bones/nothing special "dining experience". Won't be returning any time soon. read more

Ordered online around 9:20 PM. 9 minutes later I arrived, the burgers were on the griddle and the fries were waiting to be plunged to ensure their freshness. The grilled vegetables were ready to go, the staff still bright and awake, and the facilities clean. I grabbed a handful of never-damp peanuts to eat while I waited. With extra grilled toppings (jalapenos, onions, and mushrooms [and free]), I had basically a full fajita style salad with the cheesy meaty triple stack. The fries came out perfectly and I received some cajun seasoning to switch up half. I and the wife will be happy to return to this location. read more

I was trying to do a good thing by ordering from 5 Guys today. Supporting a local business and all that, but I regret making that move now. Clearly these workers don't want to be there, when maybe they should be thankful their employer is still employing them? The music was blasting, and aggressive. Metal or something. And the employees barely spoke or made eye contact with me. I tried to say thank you as I was leaving, but one guy was staring down at his phone, and the girl just turned away. Finally I just thanked an employee who happened to walk out from the kitchen at that particular moment. And then the food wasn't as good as usual either. All in all a Lousy experience. Our family loves Five Guys. It's a little pricey but we always know we will get a ton of french fries in our order for our family size (of 5). That hasn't been the case the last two times we have been to this location. What gives? Is this just this location or all locations now? The fries are what the Mrs. and kids look forward to the most (for me it's the bacon cheeseburger). As I am typing this I can see other people have had the same experience. We haven't been to another location in a while to know if it's just the Apex store that is stingey or what. Load us up on the french fries, Five Guys! Went here for a quick late evening experience. This time ordered the Little cheeseburger with relish and mustard, a grilled cheese over $4, and a little fry. Got 2 cups for water. The water color was OFF, did not appear to be the same clear color as it should have been in either cup. Almost looked like reclaimed water, yikes! Plus, for the grilled cheese you could have just used my bun and charged me for 2 slices of cheese.....insane! I don't think we will be back, sorry. read more

This was my first 5 guys and it was great. It seemed a bit pricey but then you get a ton of fries with the small, enough to share. And the burger was very filling with all the toppings. I couldn't finish it. The kids liked the free peanuts. They don't have specific kids menus so I just had them share and it was fine except they are used to getting a little kids drink from the fountain. Almost meltdown over water cups. They have outside tables but only about 6, were full when we went. Place is clean and nice. The parking there is a nightmare on a weekend. Shared with the deli and chipotle. Just park in another lot and walk over is my recommendation. Great experience overall, food tastes real and yummy! read more

I don't care how good the food is when the customer service is just simply bad. One of the Managers at the store would rather argue than accommodate a simple customer request. At one point, it seemed like she was admitting she could address my issue, but at that point she had already lost me. I'd rather not give this company a penny because very clearly an employees bad day motivates them to argue with a customer. That's not customer service. It's simply an attitude that needs to be adjusted. Sorry five guys, won't return. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced since Covid. We had a Curbside order, called upon arrival and they brought out the order. Got home only to realize they gave us the wrong bag. I totally understand accidents happen, no big deal. Well, apparently it turned into a big deal because when I called to inform them of the error, the person says "oh my god" and then hangs up on me. Arrived back at the restaurant, called again and they brought the correct order out. No I'm sorry, just gave us the bag. Upon arriving home we realized even though we called to inform them of their error they just gave us a bag of food that had been sitting around for 30 minutes. Didn't remake the food, didn't care. To make this even worse, there were onions on one of the burgers (which were not ordered) and the person eating it is allergic so we had to throw away. Again, I know times are trying but an "I'm sorry" would had made the difference for us. We will never ever be back. read more

2nd bad experience at this location. Last time they shorted us fries - we all know their business plan, they charge you a higher price but give you extra in the bag, well there weren't any extra this time, the cup had some fries but nothing in the bag. Today soda machine was broken and they are fumbling around trying to fix it for 20 minutes when I ask the girl if we can just get a shake instead - she says fine. 5 min later manager calls me over says "I can't do that, price is too much of a difference" - um, it was 1.80 difference to be exact. I told her to just give me my money back. I'll drive up to High House from now on, even though it's further - been going to that location for 9 years and always consistently good. read more
