Whenever I hear about any franchise being compared with In-N-Out, as a self-proclaimed burger enthusiast, I make it a life goal to try it! Five Guys is one of those places that I see constant praise for, both online and through word-of-mouth. When I saw they were opening in Pearlridge, it instantly found its way onto my bucket list. First off, let me say: has Five Guys never heard of the double cheeseburger? Both my gf and I ordered a "Cheeseburger," which comes with two patties. The actual cheeseburger with a single patty is called a "Little Cheeseburger," which is absolutely astounding in a world where double cheeseburgers and sliders exist. No customer with previous burger joint experience is going to walk in here and not feel a little misled by your hip, illogical naming conventions. Just a mind-bogglingly inane decision. Anyway, this double cheeseburger is priced pretty high, at $10.39, but comes with all the toppings you want. At other joints, you usually pay to add on toppings, so I was content with this price, as I added on all the deluxe options, jalapenos, mushrooms, and bbq sauce. However, if you like a classic cheeseburger, you're gonna feel like you're overpaying. The fries were over 5 dollars for a medium, but these are well worth it, fried fresh in peanut oil and well seasoned with their cajun dry spices. Really quite tasty, and I love how they tell you where their last shipment of potatoes came from. Freestyle Coke machines are awesome, so that's something else worth stopping by for. Mixing sodas and syrups never gets old, especially with free refills. For the two of us, we ended up paying around $30 for two burgers, one medium fries, and a drink. The burgers themselves are tasty, well seasoned patties that have a nice tooth, and packed with fresh toppings. However, for the overall price, it's easier to get an equally tasty and otherwise customizable burger offering at Teddy's for much less. The free roasted peanuts are good, but just don't help justify the price tag! Five Guys is good, but simply doesn't bring anything new to Hawaii except its premiums. read more

It's Five Guys so you go for burgers and fries! The fries were fresh and tasty! My burger was okay but the bread was over grilled and burnt on the edges. One employee did not keep his mask covering his nose, they didn't have had sanitizer, and nothing to clean the tables or anyway to know what was clean or dirty. Tables were taped off for social distancing. Overall probably won't be back anytime soon, but needed a burger and fries so I'm good for awhile. read more

Walked in only because Pieology was so crowded! We should've kept walking down to the food court. The food was just ok and definitely not worth it!! Teddy's is a much better option. Grilled cheese for $5.99 was good according to my son but small in my opinion for 6 bucks! My daughter had a little cheeseburger(7.69)and I had the little hamburger(6.79). They mixed up our toppings. "Grilled" onions were raw. Large fried (7.89) was good. It was a lot but not sure worth 8 dollars! Will never eat here again. Last time I had Five Guys was roughly about four years ago. We live literally down the street from this location and we always pass right by it when we go to the mall. This time, We went in and had lunch there. I forgot that the menu can be a bit expensive. My total bill was roughly about 39 dollars. We ordered a Cheese Burger, Bacon Burger, little fries and a grill cheese (with one drink). The food was super delicious (including the fries). While your waiting, you can grab free peanuts while you wait for your food. The place was extremely clean and the staff were super friendly. Anything you need, they will help you with a smile. Overall, we will stop here again in the near future! A quick note though, please note that they cook with 100% peanut oil (this is a standard for the five guys franchise). Anyone that is allergic to peanuts or nuts, I highly recommend you avoid this place. They also do not want any customers to bring out the peanuts outside either because of the allergic reactions some people might get. read more

Very poor management/organization. I don't know if they're just distracted or not listening, but I went in there and ordered a $10 cheeseburger to have no cheese (after ordering a CHEESEburger). So I asked for cheese, I was given a cold slice of cheese, and a cold burger. Had to drive home, and warm up my food and basically prepare it myself afterwards. So if that is what you are looking for, here's the place. Better off going to McDonald's where they'll at least melt your cheese and correct your order when they mess it up properly. read more

We finally walked into a Five Guys. If you love this place, great, but we may not be back. Our order was ok but, well, it just wasn't worth the price. We paid over $42! $5.99 for a Veggie Sandwich with cheese, $9.09 for a Little Bacon Cheeseburger, $8.09 for a Little Bacon Burger and $5.89 each for 3 Milk Shakes. It was at least $8 for two buns and a burger. Then, you can add toppings for "free". I say that in quotes because it really wasn't worth spending $9 for the bread and meat. They offered milk shake flavors. My kids each liked their strawberry and salted caramel but I couldn't taste the coffee in mine. The employee who took our order, Michael, said there was real coffee inside. They didn't call our order number 15 as we were waiting on one of the tables fronting the pickup counter. When we heard 16, we thought we heard our order number. Our order was sitting on the counter in a bag and the employee kept yelling for 16. When I confirmed I had the receipt for order 15, they only had the burgers and sandwiches but forgot the shakes. read more

It's lunch time and we decided on burgers and fries but we couldn't decide where to go. My wife suggested we try a new place Five Guys in Pearlridge. Soon as we walked in it smelt glorious lol...guess we were hungry. Our cashier I have to give big props to! He was friendly, interactive, engaging in what we wanted and being our 1st time he was patient in reviewing the menu and gave suggestions on what items are popular...and his name is "Pono"! As far as the food?... my son had the Little burger, wife had the little cheeseburger and I went for the Big Cheeseburger with fixings, fries and drinks. Burgers were really good, juicy and well seasoned. Milk shakes were like they made in the old fashioned soda shops, creamy and delicious. My suggestions would be just get the small fries because that would be enough...trust me and try a milkshake. I have fond memories of eating at Five Guy's in the past, but that's all in the past I suppose. Not sure if it's because COVID, the business of the store, but the entire eating experience was just overall subpar and I'm not sure if I'm willing to come back to spend another $31 for two people (2 Cheeseburgers, 1 Regular fries, and 1 regular drink). If I'm in the mood for a burger and fries, perhaps I'll just end up going to Teddy's. ‍Unfortunately none of the employees were approachable to talk with, so I didn't end up getting peanuts. -1 Star for customer service Cheeseburger: The saving grace of the meal. Due to the decision of the Manager Blake he made the decision to close 30 minutes early. He seemed to be a manager that don't care to honor the hours of the business. He turned away my business due to likely he had to get off early. If the posted hours closes at 10:00 pm it should be at 10:00 pm. What a rude manager. read more

This is probably still the best burger chain on the island. I know it's way more pricier than the mainland but I still go here because the burgers are always juicy and you can have it whey alit if fresh jalapeños. But are the burgers getting a lot smaller?!? Well what's good about this place is you can add as much toppings as you want without the extra charge. I hope they will open a location in town soon. read more

This place okay. Not the best as I hoping it would be. A little pricey for a burger. I ordered a little hamburger and i asked the VERY RUDE cashier what kind of cheese they have and was dissapointed that the only kind they offer is american so i passed on it. The one thing that I did like was that you can choose all the toppings that you want! The cashier was seemed annoyed as i kept asking questions about ordering my burger... chill lady this is the first time to this new burger joint. I also ordered fries and a small size is big enough to feed two people the only thing i didnt care for is that it was too salty. I have had 5 Guys in Los Angeles and it was good but overpriced. This location is only okay. It is not as good as I was hoping it would be. Still quite pricey for a burger. The fries over heavily salted. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and did not know that it was a double cheeseburger. I do like that they offer a lot of toppings for your burgers and of course the free peanuts. Will I come back? I'm not sure because I can get a much better burger from Teddy's at a similar price and the fries are lightly salted. read more

Every table in this place was dirty with crumbs, salt, pepper and napkins. There was only one other table when we went at 430pm so I could see how dirty each table was and it wasn't busy so no one has cleaned the table in awhile. Luckily our table had some napkins left over from the previous customers so we were able to use it to clean our table that we picked out as the least dirtiest. Also one cheeseburger is almost $11. So with a shake and fires bill came out to almost $25. Prob never come back again. So this is written before our food came out so this is a review not on the food itself. Update: So got our food...shake was pretty good. Fries were decent. Cheeseburger had no flavor...I wanted to try and glad I did so I know never to come back or wonder is five guys is good. read more

Well.... Unbeknownst to me when ordering the Veggie Sandwich there is no veggie pattie. But was I told that while I was ordering? No. No. I was not. This was our first time there and honestly we weren't sure what or how to order. The staff weren't as welcoming and did not smile at all which made it a bit unappealing, especially when I mentioned this was our first time there. After we figured out what and how to order, the wait was ok. We got our food in about 10 minutes. My kids loved the burgers and fries. I definitely loved the chocolate milkshake! Although the costs did seem way pricy for a burger joint. So all in all burgers and fries we give it an 8 and service and staff could use a bit more enthusiasm. read more

I chose all the way which is all the primary toppings combine. But the cheese wasn't melted on the burger I got at this particular place and the burger itself was way too pricey. I went to this location at 9:45 at night. The server not at all helpful with menu selection. They seemed so tired that they did a sloppy job on the food. I was thinking wow this is what I paid for? My wife had never been here before so we decided to pay a visit. if you are looking for regular fast food burgers like those from Mc****d's or B**** K***g, this is not the place for you. If you like truly stuffed burgers that are bursting at the seams with freshly grilled hamburger patties, this will be your new favorite place to go. The decor is done in red and white with the workers keeping the place spotless. Even the bathroom was clean and fresh smelling! But back to the food, for those very hungry, the Bacon Double Cheeseburger is a gastric masterpiece, with two large patties, cheese (of course), bacon and a variety of other fillings such as catsup, mustard, relish, grilled onions and mushrooms, etc provided at no additional cost. They really mean you get what you order at this place! Their fries are fresh cut and cooked in 100% peanut oil, so your fingers aren't as oily when you're done. Also they make some great milk shakes and if you're like them, give them a try. What I enjoy are the all-you-can-eat roasted peanuts in the restaurant. So if you don't want to order fries, there is an alternative. Service was quick and the workers are all very helpful and friendly. The only thing that prevents them from being 5 star are the lack of vegetarian, low fat items on their menu. The vegetarian burger that my wife had, was tasty but there wasn't much else on the menu. Even though COVID-19 had reduced the number from five guys to two, Five Guys still maintained their pizzazz. This was my first time trying a local location. It had the same exact design as the stores in the mainland with bright white walls, open spacing, and touch screen soda machines. Service was exceptional. The lady who took my phone order was extremely patient and perfectly timed our order so that it was ready and hot to pick up when we arrived. A little burger has one delicious beef patty, while a regular burger has two; the little burger was filling. Usually when I eat a burger, I feel bloated afterwards. This Five Guys burger had hit the spot without hurting my belly. You can add as many toppings as you want at no additional cost; they offer raw and grilled options. Got to love customization. This is our second time here and it was way better than our previous experience. The receipt said the employee's name was Zaida M... she was super friendly and patient with us!! The floor this time was completely clean and swept, there was also another employee wiping down and checking all the tables to make sure they were clean. When we received our burgers, they gave us two servings of fries (we didn't order any fries). We tried to return them, but the lady insisted that we could keep them. The burgers are good but my rating is because the restaurant was filthy. They were not very busy when we got there but all of the empty tables looked like they hadn't been wiped down all day. This is a great fresh change in burgers! Walking out of the mall we decided to stop for a shake, but i had to just try a burger and I'm glad i did. I can tell that its not some cookie cutter joint, the beef patties were fresh, the topping were fresh, the fries were crispy! Im glad i gave it a shot! I dont know if they knew it was our first time, or if its just how they are, but we had excellent service and even a little extra!
