They've got you covered with applicators, sheet masks, and body scrubbers (if you've been to Korea, you know what I mean). I was delighted to discover that they have a respectable selection of stationery, including cute notebooks, fun puzzle erasers, and even a few fun sticky notes. The food/drink sections were huge. Lots of items to explore including international items as well. I thought that was very neat. I briefly looked at the jewelry/aromatherapy section. I found a few pieces of jewelry I'd wear, super cute! Lastly, I headed over to the kitchen section. Found some really cool plates and other kitchen items. I do have to say I was a little disappointed that I passed 3 employees during my visit and not one even acknowledged me. I thought that was very strange and unacceptable. You should say hello to customers when they visit the store. Customer service skills are a large part of customer satisfaction and help decide if the customer will be returning or not. I was in the Woodbury Village shopping center for a Yelp Elite event at Sip Dirty Soda. When I drove up and saw there was also a Daiso, I had to make it one of my stops. I had a really great time browsing this location. It has a fairly large footprint and was well-lit and orderly. Daiso always seems to have a good selection of tempting goodies, and for the most part at very reasonable prices too! In particular I took note that some of the things I might have formerly purchased at Michaels (a craft store that as of late has gotten crappier since their main competition, Joann, went out of business... typical Capitalism move... ugh) are available here, and so in the future when I need craft items, scrapbooking supplies, or stationary, I'll probably make the trip to Daiso to give them my business instead. Also they have lots of fun Hello Kitty branded merch, as one might expect. Converting yen to USD is confusing at first, but they have lots of signage up on the aisles (as well as attached to each shopping basket) to help you. Unmarked items are at a set $2.25, which I'll admit, as someone with a lack of trust in price tags from prior bad experiences at other (non-Daiso) stores, I was anxious about all the way up to the register, watching as each item was scanned and came up at the correct low price (whew...). They even were giving away a free sticker sheet to shoppers who made a purchase. Easy way to win me over is with free stickers (I'm basically an 8 year-old). The employee was friendly to me. At any rate, I left with a lot of fun trinkets for just over $20, which really made my day. Also I was THRILLED to discover that they sell POG (if you know, you know) and other flavor varieties of the Hawaiian juice Aloha Maid. I crave the taste of Hawaii cuz of the lovely vacations I've taken there, but I had no idea you could get it on the mainland at Daiso for $1.50 a can! That's really not a bad price at all under the circumstances. Next time I'm in I'll likely intentionally stock up (yes, I'm a soda hoarder LOL).

Outside of that is the largest collection of quarter slot rides that I know of. They accept card payment or lets your kids pretend and don't pay to turn them on at all. Then there's a train ride and rideable animals for a fee. In Scheels they have a beautiful aquarium, a fun shooting range for a small fee and a ferris wheel that's only $1 per rider. Then upstairs they have a nice food court with clean restrooms and a variety of food options. I wish all malls were like this.

5 Stars for Unexpected Wonders at Eden Prairie Center!…read more Eden Prairie Center gets 5 stars from me after an Easter photoshoot turned into a fun adventure. I wasn't even planning on going to the mall, but it was worth the trip. What really surprised me was Scheels. The size of it is impressive, but the fact they had a real aquarium and a Ferris wheel?! That's a whole other level! It's cool to see a store go above and beyond with entertainment and attractions. I also loved how the staff were very helpful pointing me in the right direction. I didn't shop at any of the other stores so I can't comment on those, but overall it was nice. It was a beautiful day and I just enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. If you need to get out of the house, stretch your legs and be surprised by a unique shopping experience, Eden Prairie Center is a must visit. Scheels alone is worth the trip! Win for a fun unexpected outing.
