The food was delicious and the orders taken quickly and accurately. Our server, Lizday B. was on point with refills on our beverages and providing condiments of all sorts without even asking....she just took initiative to provide it Per what we ordered. I loved it. And to put the icing on top, she provided us with a complimentary pumpkin flavor ice cream to go along with our pies. I love it. I definitely will dine there again when I return. The atmosphere was awesome being there in Rockefeller building! Amazing! read more

Had a wonderful experience for lunch. High quality, well prepared foods. A bit pricy for the bread and butter but the other entrees and appetizers were fairly priced. Having said that the food was really great! The service was good and although the ambiance is casual the food is anything but casual. Great taste and presentation. I had the broccoli and cheese soup which was rich and creamy and also had the fennel Ceasar which was unique and wonderful. Kudos to the chefs! read more

Had lunch here for the first time. The chopped salad and dressing were delicious. I also tried the fried calamar...not so good. Ringlets were tiny, tiny and the sauce overly spicy. I will go back for the salad, for sure. Linda read more

Five Acres gets five stars for the food and service, but zero for location and ambiance. You feel like you are eating in the lobby coffee shop of a hotel. The restaurant is completely open to the concourse and people around you. Although you are on the ice skating rink level of Rockefeller Center there is no view of the skating. Simply the worst possible spot. But the food! The food is amazing. It is truly outstanding. Extraordinarily creative. The dishes are as complex as they are unique. While vegetable forward, there are plenty of meat and seafood options. The only slight fail was the bread and butter board, although the toasted bread was outstanding. The cocktails and desserts were also very good. We will be back, but if Five Acres were in a different location we would be back there all the time. Given the location and ambiance, it will be lower on our list. read more

Went for lunch while waiting for a taping of the Tonight Show. The menu is small, but most dishes looked amazing. I ordered the butter board, since I was going out for dinner later. Would have loved to give more stars. The problem was the flies. So. Many. Flies. One landed right on my bread, another on the little pot of herbs. When I told my waitress, she casually asked if I wanted a replacement. Not even acknowledging the fact that there were flies going around everywhere. Overall, it was fine. The butter board was kind of sad, flies notwithstanding. read more

In the heart of Rockefeller Plaza this small indoor restaurant was surprisingly delicious. Compared to other establishments in the Plaza its very decently priced and the quality was not terrible. I would definitely recommend this over the other two restaurants. Not pictured here but the Aeprol Spritz read more

A very creative and surprising new dining experience, but the service was not as good - the service was not bad but just very basic. The foods are very creative - for lots of dishes - they use a very well-known name but make a completely different thing (in a good way) - which is the part that I liked the most, such as the lamb "Gyro", Oysters Rockefeller etc. My favorite dish was the gilled guinea hen - it made a perfect combination with the financier cake. My least favorite one was the surf and turf crab cake. By mentioning the "turf" I thought there would be some beef portion but it was literally "turf" - the salad. And the crab cake itself wasn't good at all either. The fried batter outside was way too thick, which ruined the whole experience. We had to peel all crust and only ate the inside meat. Last but not least, the cocktails are the most surprising part! They are the best cocktails I had in a while. Anyway, my overall comment is - this is a place that is worth trying if you happen to be near around, but not worth to make it here only for this restaurant. They define themselves as "fine dining" in google map, but to me it's more like a casual dining. Maybe the foods are good enough for "fine dining", but the service and the vibe are far away from "fine dining". read more

The food and service were amazing. Gigi was very kind and helpful. The seats are very comfortable and give off this ambient vibe. I would highly recommend and will be coming back read more

Fernando was very courteous and checked on us just often enough. Our group of girls split a bunch of apps and they were all delicious!

Amazing food! Great service! Fernando was amazing and so kind! Cocktails were fantastic!

They sat us immediately even though we were 30 minutes late to our reservation. Don't try the non alcoholic wine. It's hard to find so leave early to get there but the bathroom has a lot of stalls. 10/10 read more

Been there before; it was decent. Today's business was lousy. I ordered the Wisconsin burger. Medium rare, and please hold the pickles. It came littered with pickles and medium well. Was not good. read more

My lovely bride and I stopped in for a quick drink. She had a cup of black coffee, which she described as wonderful. I had a Coca-Cola, with perfectly formed ice cubes and a slice of lemon, served in a Collins glass. Delicious. Prompt and pleasant service. Very nice, private bathrooms too. Highly recommended! read more

Ive been here during winter (when rink is open). And then I went bank during the summer and it was just as Charming. It's a great meal right in the heart of the rock area. great wine list, appetizers and burgers are to die for. service is so friendly. I didn't have reservations the first Time but was able to get a table with my family easily both times. read more

There is a hidden 20% gratuity added on top of every bill which they do not disclose. Its written very small at the bottom of the menu that is hard to see. Absolute rip off! Server was nice, but poor service. Food was ok, but nothing special. I will never come here again, and I highly recommend nobody else do so either. Very dishonest business, less than average food and service. read more

5 Acres was a great place to take a break from exploring Rockefeller and recharge with some great food and drinks. Our server Aurora was a joy to talk to! She provided swift service, made sure we had everything we needed, and even gave us directions/recommendations. Also, keep the onions on the grilled cheese! Worst restaurant experience I've had in a very long time. From the beginning, the service wasn't welcoming, nevertheless, when a kid spots pizza on the menu plus it's a holiday in a typical office work environment, you go for it. (Tip: Ace pizza nearby would have been a go if it was open). We knew what we were getting and quickly ordered; received the food not long after. The chicken with mash were pretty tasty, but the fries were very salty and the pizza we came for was an instant reject for a kid who had basic pizza expectations. Worst of all, the pizza wasn't cut into slices so imagine the mess. I'm not sure the last time I've been served an uncut pie (this is personal size). Not once did someone check in on us and we had to ask for napkins to receive a very dry response. To add, there were 2-3 other tables max occupied at this time. There's many places in NYC with shabby food and service, but not many that make you feel soo unwelcome AND serve 1/3 decent tasting plates on top of the automatic 20% gratuity add. The tip was upfront and wasn't an initial turnoff given the lack of options at Rock center on this specific day, but the service definitely does not call for it. Never again. read more

The food was good. Agree with others that the bar really shines - wish they had more bar bites to go with drinks. It's good for people watching but especially at holiday time- wish they had a children's menu. read more

Made a lunch reservation last minute for a birthday with the bf. This was my second time visiting Five Acres. Last time the menu was different: if I remember correctly I had lobster 3 ways which I didn't enjoy, oysters smoked and with gelatin ...was interesting and a dessert with pear which wasn't memorable. The good part was the bar, the drinks were well balanced and super tasty. This time I loved the menu and really enjoyed my meal and my cocktail (the cherry old fashioned) . Today I had the seafood plateau, calamari and mushroom risotto. All were delicious! The bf had pork schnitzel... also delicious! We both enjoyed the affogato for dessert. Since it was a bday they surprised us with a small ice cream cookie sandwich with a candle. Super cute! So yes, the service is top tier also. I would definitely return. 5 star! read more

Got to my haircut appointment early so instead of getting a coffee I grabbed a drink here. I'm a Whiskey Fan so of course I had to try the KAOS Whiskey from Denmark that they had. It was a standard pour for $22 which is fine for location and also the uniqueness of the Whiskey which was delish. The service at the bar was spot on with Ashley behind the bar being very conscious of refilling water and being an all around good bartender. The Ambiance of people watching in Rock Center is always fun. I didn't look much at the food menu as I wasn't yet ready for a nosh but what I did see looked good. Solid 4 Stars today! read more

Wonderful service and delicious food! We were seated quickly, food came out at a good time and the price was reasonable.

Sebastian guided our dining experience and we loved our selections . The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent.

First the food was good. It's the service and their system I did not like. I went to lunch last week with a friend, we ordered our food and coffee. During our lunch I ran out of coffee and no one approached us to refill. I also asked for mustard , the first person did not bring it, I had to ask again and finally got it. Our server was pleasant. She took our order and did not see her again to ask if everything was ok. Actually I had to track her down for the bill. Also this restaurant puts an automatic 20% tip on and there was just two of us. Very unfair for them to assume. I paid the bill but wanted to take off their tip and put on what I think they should get. My friend felt embarrassed and the full tip was paid No I would not go there again or recommend this place. Reasons being Good food, bad service and assuming I wanted to tip 20% read more

So good! Gigi was great and very helpful. The fries were hot and crispy. The music was upbeat, but not too loud.

Although the food was delicious and the service was polished the location and ambience were awful. It was the same setting as eating at a hospital cafeteria. It was described as rinkside so I thought we would be able to see the ice skaters but there is no visibility the rink, just random people walking by looking at you looking at them knowing you are overpaying for a meal. Our portion of the bill for two people was $350. For me that's way too much to pay unless it's a special occasion and if it is a special occasion I want the ambiance. read more
