The place was spotless and we were lucky enough to have our own bathroom. Location was nice and not too far away from downtown and quiet enough to get a good night sleep. The beds!! Are very comfortable and we loved the complimentary breakfast in the morning. One of the saddest parts of the trip was needing to leave this B&B. Totally made this vacation worthwhile and enjoyable. We plan to return and stay here at our next visit to Ireland.

Beautiful B&B owned by 3 brothers who bought and refurbished the place in memory of their late mother (Marie) hence the name, Marie's Bed & Breakfast! All three brothers are on the property and very attentive and helpful! Beautiful B&B with lovely rooms and bathroom! Also, the whole place is so clean!! We got the twin bed room with the garden view and private bathroom/shower. Very relaxing and friendly environment. Literally, can't think of anything that I would want or need. We mentioned that we were planning on taking a cab into central dublin downtown for tours and they coordinated and called a taxi/cab for us for every day!! The rooms and bathroom was cleaned every day when we left for our excursions. And it's always so nice and welcoming to be back after a long day. Clean shower, and comfortable beds are what makes it even more memorable to a great vacation. If you have questions they will answer it! Need a good game plan for a trip in town? Done! Or a side trip to a nice area where is not a tourist trap? Done! Definitely reccomend you stay here. No regrets! Highly highly recommend to family and friends!

It is a luxury hotel offering a mix of historic charm and modern comfort, and near other city attractions like Iveagh Gardens, Grafton Street, the Museum of Irish Literature, and Trinity College. Among the many positives: - Helpful, Friendly, and Very Competent Front Desk Staff. - Immediately Available Staff to Schlep Your Luggage to the Room. - Fantastic Breakfast (and Service), especially the French Toast. - Nice Gardens in Back - A Harry Clarke Stained Glass Window Off the Main Lobby. - Spacious, Clean, Well-Appointed, Classy, and Comfortable Room. - Decent Shower Flow and Good Wi-Fi. - The Early AM Taxi We Booked was Right There On Time! - A Couple Package Delivery Requests Were Handled Well. Our only "Opportunity for Improvement" was the Need for a Dresser. We like to unpack on any stay over 1 night, and found that we could have used some additional storage space. Gayle and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I often have to rest while my husband goes out, so the room means a lot to me! The staff was particularly helpful. One morning I was having severe mobility issues, so the server fetched my breakfast from the buffet. The back garden was serene (although we could see into rooms across the way when the residents didn't pull the curtains!). Plus it is right next to the Museum of Irish Literature and across the street from St. Stevens Green, a good sized park. My only regret is that we only stayed two nights.

The bus stops outside the door, so if you don't mind a bus ride you should be fine. What makes this place great is the owners. It was sort of like staying with friends. The owner was always available with directions, recommendations. The owner also recommended the Hertz shop down the road (5 minute walk down circular) which was awesome way for us to leave and return to Dublin. When we returned "sure you can use my garage." Which was nice, the 16A bus might come to his doorstep, but it is a LONG bus ride (1hr30min) from the Airport. Breakfast was good. Our room had a bathroom (en suite as they say). Price was $40 Euro a person. The room was quiet, we were never disturbed! Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend it. As rick steve's might say 1/2 the price for 2x the cultural immersion. Too bad I didn't know yelp was in Dublin before I went (I would of found restaurants!)

It has been renovated / remodeled relatively recently. Although the front room could use a 'perk me up', the bedrooms were really nice! The rates are great and include a 'made to order' breakfast. My friends loved it and were grateful for the recommendation. The B&B is run by a husband and wife team. The husband is pretty talkative and volunteers recommendations freely. He immediately welcomed me into the space and offered a full tour. As for convenience, the bus stop is right outside the front door and is conveniently an hour or so from DUB airport. A walk to City Center is about 20 minutes and the canal is about five minutes. I recommend this spot for singles or couples. It's warm and welcoming and the rooms are really nice!

Yay! My companion…read moreand I definitely enjoyed our stay here during our holiday. We flew in and out of Dublin so our stays here bookended the trip. Both times, we arrived a bit too early to check in so we were allowed to leave our luggage with the staff while we explored the city. The first room we stayed in was pretty spacious and clean, though homely (country-style decor) and the bathrooms were decent. There was a sitting area with a fireplace (nice touch) as well as a "library" with wifi and desks. The hotel itself is deceptively big. During our second stay, we were sent down a hallway to an elevator and ended up in rooms that seemed more chain-hotel-ish (and less homely country-style than our first room). The staff members were so nice and generous. There was one guy who gave us a bunch of utensils and plates for us to use for the takeout fish & chips we brought home for dinner one night. It's in a good location (near the Spire) and you can pretty much walk everywhere. We even walked all the way to the Guinness Storehouse. (Though, to be fair, you can pretty much walk the entire city, as it is not that big).

Words cannot describe how AMAZING the stay was…read more I live in Dublin, but I needed a place for my Grandad to stay while visiting me. I've used other B+Bs before, but they were all booked. I then found this place online and decided to give it a go. I wish I found this place sooner. From the get--go, I knew we found a special place. When checking in, my Grandad asked the Owner what time breakfast was.. She then asked him, "What time do YOU want breakfast?!". Wow-that level of personalisation stuck out to me immediately. My Grandad had the most comfortable, warm and enjoyable stay. His room was super clean and very comfy. He had his own bathroom, and the place was kitted out with a television, hairdryer and toiletries. My Grandad said his breakfasts were so yummy. He had options of full english, cereals and fruit. The whole B+B has this traditional, homely vibe. Family photos of days gone by are on the walls, and there are book shelves where guests can help themselves. The B+B is situated a few mins walk from McDonalds, Pizza Places and Tesco (a grocery store). So if you need anything, you don't need to go far. The City Centre is right by, which is ideal because I don't drive. Bernie, the Owner was so warm, helpful and amazing. It was raining during my Grandad's stay which limited what we could do and see. I don't drive, and ON HER OWN, she offered to drive us through Phoenix Park, so we can experience it. She advised that it's better to see the place in a car-She was right! And she even drove us past the Guinness Storehouse, giving us the history of the area and insider knowledge that you wouldn't find on wikipedia. Mind you, she did this out of the goodness of her heart. Again, where else will you see this level of personalization? Really going above and beyond! Bernie is also super knowledgeable and gives the best advice on which attractions to see, which are worth paying for, and not just trying to extort you for money-and even the history behind certain buildings/monuments. It's no surprise that my Grandad asked her for her business card, so that he can recommend her to everyone back home in the UK. I am happy because I have peace of mind that my Grandad (and other family from abroad) will always have a great place to stay at, when they visit me. I can't recommend this place enough. The value you receive is not reflected in the price. I would pay triple than what is charged. Thank you Bernie! You and your B+B really stood out to my Grandad and helped make his stay in Dublin to be memorable and enjoyable. He can't stop talking about what a great stay it was. He's now already planning his next visit!

We were blown away by how nice this place is! For reference, we stayed in a double room with en-suite. We arrived Wednesday afternoon after taking the train from Killarney to Dublin. We got a taxi to the bed and breakfast and walked in with four bags, two of which were massive. The manager got us checked in and offered a map, which we declined since we have everything planned out and we have maps saved on our phones. We were in room 18, nicknamed the Oscar Wilde room. It was on the third floor so we did have a bit of climbing to do (there is no lift in the building due to its age and how compact it is) but we didn't really mind it that much. If we had just come off a long overseas flight we might have been a bit more salty about it but we weren't so it's fine. When we walked in the room we were shocked by how nice it was. The wallpaper is gorgeous and the bathroom is stunning. The shower is incredibly nice and felt wonderful after a long day. The window we had opened up to other buildings so we didn't have a great view, but just being able to open the window for some fresh air was lovely. The bed is incredibly comfortable (and large!) and there is a bunch of storage along the wall so you can stow your luggage and jackets and shoes without any issue. We were here during a cold and rainy week so the room never got hot or stuffy. It was warm enough at night even after having the window open all day. The building has free WiFi, you just need to enter the password when you hit the login page. The password is taped to the back of the room door so it's easy to locate. The staff are all super friendly and help you out with whatever you need. It was pretty quiet at night even being in a louder part of Dublin, so the building has good insulation. We also hardly heard our neighbors thanks to the arrangement of the rooms - we only had one shared wall and it was bathroom to bathroom. The breakfast was great! I had the omelette and pancakes while we were here and they were both good. The banana with yogurt was also very tasty. The juice that they had was also good - I think it was a combination of orange and pineapple? Overall we really loved our stay here and we would definitely stay here again. It's close enough to walk to some attractions, and there is a hop-on hop-off stop that is close enough to walk to for others. There are groceries nearby and lots of food options to choose from. There are also laundry services nearby that you can either drop off your laundry at or have them pick up and deliver. That was crucial for us after arriving after already being on vacation for a week!

We arrived from an overnight flight at roughly 9:30 a.m. and they were still prepping rooms but they stored our luggage and recommended a location to grab something to eat which was very good. Upon returning about 45 minutes later our room was ready and we found the room to be meticulous with a very comfy king bed, mini fridge, tv, and ample size bathroom. I saw a few other reviews that stated the bathroom doors would not stay open but I learned that is by design and we just asked for an extra towel that we used to prop the door open when needed. It serves to point out that the entire hotel is under a complete remodel so many of the rooms and features of the hotel are shinny new. They do offer breakfast in the morning and for the evening they do have a restaurant and bar. Just walk out the front door if you want a livelier crowd and more restaurant options The location of the hotel is prime as it offers proximity the River Liffey, plenty of shops, pubs, and attractions. We walked to the Jameson (25 min walk) and Guinness (30 min walk) factories as it also gave us the ability to take in things along the walk. You are close to Trinity College and both St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedrals. lastly, I cannot say enough about the staff, Anne at the front desk was a warm and inviting pleasure and very professional, Marvin the concierge and bellman was super helpful and pleasantly informative, the house staff was attentive and always looking to make sure we were comfortable. The Brooks comes with my highest recommendation.
