Friendly spot for all-American pub food with fantastic deserts. Nice place to go after a towpath trail run or hike, and elfing. !

Dined here by myself and got the clam chowder and French onion soup rather than an entree. Both were delicious and the service was super friendly. Can't wait to return on a date! read more

Busy on a weekend, but the bar will take you as long as there are open seats at the bar! Great lunch spot in Penisula!

Excellent food and very quick service. I will definitely come back! I was there for lunch and had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. One of the better meals that I have had recently. read more

This was one of the only places open the day before Memorial Day weekend during dinner time in the area, so we decided to give it a shot. The 3-3.5 Yelp stars reviews are true. It's just a-okay and could have been better. The wait time for outdoor seating was 30 minutes or so, so we went with bar seating outdoors. The setting was like a beach bar. We sat down and it took nearly 10 or so minutes to be greeted by the bartender/server. We also noticed that there were a good 3-5 empty tables that just needed cleaned off and would've been ready to be used by new guests. Seemed very, very understaffed. My plus one got a beer, but it was delivered literally half full. She said the keg blew, which is totally understandable, so we asked her to fill it back up after it was re-kegged. That never happened even though she said she woud. We got fish and chips that were good and the veggie burger with fries. The sandwich was dryyyyy so I had to add bottled mayo to make it easier to chew. All in all, it was a place I wouldn't recommend due mainly to (lack of) service and just alright food. read more

The staff were all very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was great. The blue moon on draft was really good. The prices were great. But the food was just "ok". I had the smoked Gouda burger and it was mid. The fried cod tasted like it was either cooked too long or the oil was old. Lastly the lemonade was like, someone squeezed some lemons into some water. On the plus side the fries were good, the onion rings were very good, and the zucchini fries were tasty. And someone in our party got the pulled pork sandwich and she really liked it. read more

Went there for lunch, service was great but the Beef stew was bad, no meat, no veggies. It was closer to a bowl of gravy, not stew.

We had breakfast at Fishers on Saturday and definitely weren't impressed with the 25 minute wait time to get our food. It wasn't the first time we experienced that here. When the food finally came the eggs were overdone and the potatoes were cold. $3.30 for iced tea is crazy too. We also wonder about the cleanliness of the restaurant as flies were constantly buzzing around at our inside table. I paid with a card which gave me an opportunity to rate our experience electronically, but the server took the device away from me saying it was unnecessary to fill out the survey. Maybe she wanted to avoid valid criticism. So, here I am to say look for better options when eating in Peninsula, Ohio. read more

We had just finished a ride on the towpath. We picked up a Cowboy burger, fries and breaded mushrooms. We had never eaten their food before. It was delicious and the service was great. I encountered three or more employees before I left with our order. Instead of being ignored as it happens often, I was asked two more times if I was being helped after the first person was going to get our food. We will go back. Very helpful and friendly. read more

We've gone here a few times after the new renovation and they made some really nice improvements and the food was great. Great job on the improvements! A nice place to hang out in Peninsula. Much appreciated. read more

My family and I received great service at Fishers and some of the best pancakes I've ever had.

Cute little bar/restaurant in Peninsula with cozy outdoor seating. Food was good. Drinks were good and prices on both were very reasonable. We had a wonderful server and were surprised how quickly our food arrived. We will definitely go back again. read more

Food was good. Service was also. However, this restaurant is not following CDC guidelines for the covid19. Condiments on table and no paper menus. Disappointed. read more

What a gem. The menu was great. I had a teriyaki, pineapple chicken sandwich with eggplant fries, which were out of this world. The place has been newly remodeled and is very fresh looking. Outside dining is an option. The prices were fair as well! The service was prompt and friendly! My friend & I were very impressed. We will be frequenting Fisher's a lot! read more

Good food, and stand inline to get a table.good service. Parking is close. Prices are average 7 to14.00 very busy on weekends.

Yum! We started with the deviled eggs topped with bacon jam. They were unusual but delicious. I had the pulled pork with onion strings and a side of onion rings that rivaled those giant ones you get at the county fair. My husband had the burger and fries. We took a slice of chocolate strawberry cheesecake to go. We will definitely keep this place on our list if we get back to the area. We had a great experience with any of the staff we were in contact with. They treated everyone that came in the door like a welcomed friend. Highly recommend! read more

Stopped in at Fisher's after riding the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. It looked like a wonderful place to eat dinner at. We had a very cheerful and friendly waitress. When asked about a particular beer, she made sure she asked for more information. We had the cod dinner and the Mahi Mahi dinner. My husband enjoyed his Thirsty Dog Barktober. We would certainly go back if we were in town. read more

Phenomenal. Had Mahi Mahi tacos, Coconut battered shrimp for appetizer with classic Irish coffee. Wife got 9 wings 4 different flavors with margarita and Sam Adams which were all great. read more

I've had this restaurant on my hit list for several years now. Ever since I first took a tour on the CVSR. I'm sorry it took so long for me to finally experience. This is a great stop for a meal with friends, or family, or for an informal business meeting, and great surroundings to spend a few hours in nature at one of many cool little shops. The menu is diverse, the food was fantastic and so was the service. I look forward to returning when the opportunity presents itself. read more

I think I've been here 3 times now, the food has always been great. But I'm really digging this jambalaya special for Mardi Gras. It's so good! I'm currently eating the leftovers. Last time I had the fish and chips and that was great too! We'll definitely come back-especially for lent! read more

The food was meh. Not bad, but certainly not good. Lacked flavor and overcooked. The sweat tea was almost undrinkable. No self-respecting southerner would ever touch it. It was either made with fake sugar or old tea, maybe both. Person at another table sent their food back. No idea what was wrong with it though. Definitely not going back. read more

Honestly, this place is a little diner in the middle of a small town...and given that category: it's pretty good!! We had some soft pretzel sticks that were great. The dipping sauce was basic from a jar, but still good! Onion soup was solid and the ice cream was excellent. They have a good bar menu, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. If we are ever back through, we would certainly stop. read more

I wish I could've had something else besides a vegan burger. Very limited options since there is milk sauce on almost everything here... Maybe consider other options? read more

This place is a perfect stop on a nice day, especially if you've been biking or rode the train in to Peninsula. We sat on the patio and though the drink menu had some good looking sangrias and beers, we skipped drinks. I got the green chicken sandwich with fries and my fiancé got the Raider burger. It was probably true biggest burger I've ever seen, with onion rings and fries on it. It was fun to read the history of the place and some of their dishes. The raider burger was named after the guy's son, a University of Mount Union football player, hence the name raider burger. I went to Mount myself so that was a fun little tidbit to learn! Personally, I loved the fries that came with my sandwich. They're that fresh breaded, thick cut type that you can tell were hand battered and just dipped. We split a piece of key lime pie for dessert because it looked so good on the menu. I was a little disappointed because it didn't come like the picture, no whipped cream or syrup drizzle. I've only had key lime pie a handful of times so I don't have much to compare it to, but it seemed just okay Service was good all around. The inside is quite small, not sure if I'd enjoy the dining experience as much in there. We plan to come back on our motorcycle or with our bikes to ride the trail! read more

I like to eat a fishers after a long bike ride. The food is always good and the service is excellent.

This was another great local find. There are these bacon wrapped kilbosa bites that were really good (not heart healthy I'm sure). Enjoyed eating lunch there and meeting people. I will be back. there is a donut place next door that is never opened. We drive buy it all the time. Why wouldn't they be open on a Saturday or Sunday morning on way from church? read more

I heard good things about this place from a friend so we finally made the 1 hour drive to check it out. Not worth it!! Sat outside, thank goodness cause inside is super tight and dark. I had the shrimp tacos. No flavor. Super disappointing! My husband ate the fried fish dinner plate. He said it was ok, nothing special or memorable about it. The service was good, super nice attentive waitress. And I really like the raspberry ice tea. Otherwise this place was not that great. Not worth the 1 hour drive for us! read more

We saw this place after hiking and are so glad we stopped. The patio was fun and spacious and the food was great. The ribs and the French onion tasted delicious and the waitstaff was pleasant. Small town feel, quaint but with a large beer selection available in a cute restaurant in a great easy to get to location. Oh, the eggplant fries are a MUST! read more

This place was terrible. Have always seen the parking lot filled, and there was a wait when we went there, so we expected with all the interest that it would be good. There was a short wait, but a table opened up quickly. Once seated it took over ten minutes before our server ever first introduced herself. We ordered drinks and appetizers, then it took another 15-minutes after that before we ever got an order in. Come on, that's ridiculous. We then learn that the appetizer order was never entered. God, I wish it wasn't, because when the baked pretzel bits arrived, we quickly realized these were microwaved-frozen pretzel bits. That looked exactly like the Soft Baked brand from Sam's club. They were served extremely hot, and it was clear they were microwaved as some were still stuck together. About 15-20 minutes after that the main entrees finally arrived, and they weren't much better. As my lovely wife described, "it looks like your sandwich was run over," and it did. The bun was either super flimsy, or someone in the heart of the house thought it would be funny to smash it with their AF1s. At one point I had to ask for a refill. The server grabbed my cup from the table to refill it, leaving me parched. That's bush league. Grab a fresh glass and bring it to the table, then swap out the empty one. Their chicken was surprisingly fresh tasting, and perfectly cooked, but their fries were a major disappointment. They were clearly frozen, and they had an unnatural starchy coating that were devoid of flavor. Seriously, it's cheaper and more effective for a restaurant to simply use fresh potatoes for their fries...I can't believe any restaurant would let anything other than fresh fries out of their kitchen. I won't in my own home kitchen, so why would they? As we walked out my wife said perhaps they appear busy because they get so many people that can't get a table across the street at the Winking Lizard. God, I hope that's not true. That's so sad that the best a restaurant can do is pick up the scraps from the Lizard. read more

Came here with the family after a morning train ride. Got a table back in the pub section. They had a pretty good sandwich menu, a few draft beers, and a bunch of craft bottle beers. Reviews on the food were mixed: chicken club was less of a club than a chicken sandwich, French fries were delicious, and wings looked good too! Service was spotty, apps were forgotten about and food came out at different times. Not a bad spot but may not be back. read more

So surprising to me this place isn't higher rated! We came here after a day hike at Cuyahoga and it was packed! However the food came out SO FAST. The spinach artichoke dip was great and they gave us so much dip that 4 of us couldn't finish it! I had the lobster bisque and boneless wings which were all great. Service was helpful, kind, and so fast! I have nothing but good things to say. read more
