The venue itself has an eccentric layout with a combination of seats, Picnic tables and some outdoor dining as well...the interior and decor are soo...very quirky, very Protlandia. Parking can be a bit challenging, the lot is tiny and ingress & egress layout is not optimal. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. Looked like this place was popular with locals and tourists alike. It gets packed, we had to wait till someone left for seating...Thankfully not for long. Food comes out fast. Seafood!: ~ FISH & CHIPS: BAY SCALLOPS - 5/5 I wasn't too sure about getting Fish & Chips with Scallops...Soo glad I tried it. I love Scallops, but never had it fried like this...so satisfying. Perfectly Fried, not too oily or crispy. A decent amount of Scallops and very good salad as well. ~ Red Crab Meat - 5/5 I wanted to get some Crab claws. The cashier informed me that they didn't have any at the moment...can't remember why. He did however tell me that he had some meat he could make a small Crab Cocktail with and sell that instead...DONE! Less work for me. Stopped by the Fisherman's Market while visiting Eugene this past weekend for lunch. I had the grilled shrimp po boy and my wife tried the crawfish chowder and smoked havarti salmon sandwich. Everything was fresh and we really enjoyed the spice levels on the shrimp and the chowder. We will stop again while in Eugene without question. Definitely needed some sauce. - mahi-mahi fish n chips (a daily special): similar to the tacos, needed sauce. Well prepared fish although it was a bit weak structurally. Always great food! I had the smoked salmon chowder cod fish and chips. The chowder was thick and creamy with a depth of flavors. My kids got oysters and seafood pie they liked both and commented on how sweet the oysters were. read more

The fish tacos here are so good especially the mean green halibut taco with the tijauna tartar sauce on top. Parking, however, is a pain so we don't stop by very often. We may need to make an exception on taco Tuesdays though because YUM. read more

Had fried seafood. Pretty good and reasonably priced. Service was dreadful. Waited more than 30 minutes and several orders at least 10 numbers higher than ours were called before we got ours. We'd probably still be waiting if we hadn't gone to the counter to ask about it. read more

Went to the market for the Christmas Eve for crab to take home. Busy busy. The staff was organized trying to call out your to go order for other staff to get ready for you. Local gem. Parking lot is really small but there are some additional spots across the street. You order at the counter and they will call your number over the intercom. Seating is all inside, there's a sun room as well. They have an array of fish to try, fresh dungeoness crab, and chowders. The clam chowder is a must - so delicious and perfect for the cold weather. We ordered Halibut taco, Wahoo taco, rockfish, and scallops. The scallops is something you can skip out, it's a bit flavorless. The fish was really good and you can order it grilled or fried. They also have a market with other fresh or smoked fish to purchase separately. They also have so many sauces you can try so that is unique. You bus your own tables at the end. Fresh fish, but pricey- not the menu and butcher block. Restaurant: Chowder needs a bit of seasoning, but is hearty. The only big suggestion is to drain and dry the shrimp before assembling the shrimp cocktail. It sits in a puddle of water which is super unappealing. I ate half and was kinda, Uhg- when the second half was sitting in a watery mix of cocktail sauce and fishy water. It is pricey for what it is and shouldn't be wet. Fried Fish is breaded, not battered. Fresh with a variety of sauces. Consistent good service and fresh quality. Will return when craving fresh seafood. read more

Absolutely the best fish and chips in town. The slaws are tasty and the criss cut fries are crispy and fresh. You can ask for the fish grilled and it comes perfectly charred but tender, just so good! I'm sad to say the sauces have really questionable preservatives and we had no idea until I was bored in line one day and read the ingredients. We are clean eaters and just assumed they wouldn't use gnarly ingredients. We bring our own tartar and cocktail sauce from home now. read more

Brought another co-worker here for lunch while we were in Eugene. They aren't seafood eaters really, but he was willing to try it out. He wasn't a fan of the parking situation, which I don't really think anyone is, you have to search for a place. He got the Salmon Burger and I got the Cod Fish and Chips. He really enjoyed it and continued to check out the menu. I thought my cod was done perfectly, the only thing that wasn't great was the waffle fries, they were a bit cold. We were in Eugene for a brief time one day last week to repair our travel trailer. While the repair was underway, we selected Fisherman's Market for lunch. We rarely eat out, as we prefer homemade, healthy meals, but know we might need to find a close equivalent when traveling. We were greeted upon entry and directed to the order counter, where a friendly employee took our order, which was filled in a reasonable time. Their clam chowder was delicious and hearty. We also tried fried rockfish with coleslaw, and a grilled rockfish salad, which was generous in portion and tasty. This is our second time visiting Eugene and we had to pay a visit to Fisherman's Market. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is because the tunafish melt is not on their menu every day. Oh my God I went there and had the tunafish melt for a lunch and I couldn't believe my tastebuds. I'm not even a big fish fan but the tuna fish melt was out of control. Amazing. I could not believe it. The service was fast. The smell in the air was ocean like and I loved it made me feel like I was back in San Francisco Pier 39. I had a whole crab it was fresh and delish. Why wouldn't it be their little eyes are focused on guests just before they are cooked. Fresh delish flavor. I really enjoyed the place it's unique but really focused on delivery of a great food product. I would go again and again to this place. They did forget my fries but corrected it right away with fresh fries once brought to their attention. The tables are really compact so when you have a whole group there it can be a challenge but we made it work. There was some elbow throwing as people enjoyed their meal but very few complaints! I want to love these guys but I've had 4 horrible experiences resulting in inedible, dead, and otherwise nasty oysters. Every time I went in, their oysters were gaping (means their dead) or too large to enjoy. In all 4 of my orders half the oysters were gaping and dead, a vast majority were spawny (trust me, you don't want to eat oysters when their spawning) and several shells were totally empty, which the handler behind the counter should have caught. We tried letting the staff know this but everything went over their heads and they clearly don't know what constitutes a quality oyster versus a terrible one. I did notice they get their oysters from Pacific Seafood which is just a massive distributor who could care less about delivering fresh oysters that are still alive. read more
