First time here, and pretty underwhelming. The service was very slow and not engaged at all. Food...meh. The sampler platter had some good buns/dumplings...nothing special or that you couldn't get at an average dim sum place , but the Neptune noodles were without flavor. My husband and I had a 6:45 reservation on a Thursday night a few days ago. The restaurant is beautiful but quite noisy. Staff at the front door were all business--not very welcoming but not off-putting. We waited about 10 minutes for "us to get your table ready.". My husband doesnt hear well and despite pointing this out the waitress could not be heard at all over the din in the restaurant. We ordered the hot and sour soup which was not very hot and was under-seasoned. This was a preview of coming attractions because all of the food was under-seasoned. We ordered the Crab Rangoon and it was not bad. It was crispy and well presented but the sauce was underwhelming. My husband ordered sweet and sour pork which tasted like crispy dough balls in an overly sweet, bright pink sauce. A frozen dinner would be better. There were no bell peppers and no pineapple. You have to order rice separately and there was no brown rice, although it's on the menu. I ordered the sea bass in black bean sauce and that was inedible. It was supposed to be sautéed but it came out like mush. Just sad pieces of over-cooked fish in a grey gravy. I tasted the fish and then I ate the bell peppers off the plate (which were nicely cooked, because I was hungry. When the waitress came to clear plates and asked how everything was we told her we couldn't eat the fish but said nothing about the rest of the meal. The restaurant discounted the $18 plate of fish 50% "because you ate half of it." I don't know if I will be back. People have asked me how it was and that question means, is the food good. True we have only had one meal there and I wanted to love it but I doubt if I'll go back. The problems with the food are fundamental: under-seasoning; uninspired sauces; overcooked fish. read more

It was Saturday afternoon around 1 pm. It didn't look too busy though it took the receptionist 10 minutes to seat us. Once we were seated, the server came right away and took our orders. We ordered green beans, seafood chow mien and BBQ buns. I honestly believe they need an authentic Chinese cook to better flavor these dishes. Everything tasted plain like other reviewers said. I would flavor green beans with dried shrimp or a little ground pork, add soy sauce, vinegar and sasame oil for flavors. Seafood was good but they need to add more garlic, ginger and scallions, a little sake to make it tastier. It tasted too much like plain yakisoba, not from the high end restaurant such as this place. BBQ buns were delicious and reasonably priced. Overall, OK experience. I would try it again and order different dishes. read more

Wonderful food. Spicy wonton was top 5 foods I've ever eaten. Fabulous. Sweet and sour chicken excellent--not too sweet and minimal breading with nice large breast chunks. Chicken lettuce wraps excellent. And the seafood chow mein awesome. Lots of shrimp, scallops, and lobster mixed into the noodles. The only thing that was mediocre was the hot and sour soup, and the egg flower soup. Not bad just boring and predictable. But that pales in comparison to the yumminess. I really wanted to love this place and I will say this - the interior and overall ambiance is excellent. Love the decor and amazing views of the waterfront. Especially at sunset. However, the food was not that great for the price you pay. The orange chicken was ok, honestly I have had better at Panda Express. The dumplings were good, not great. Service was pretty slow but the restaurant was packed so that's understandable. Will have to come back another time and see if it's any better. read more

The food was flavorless, The Siu Mai, Xiao Long Bao, and Hot & Sour soup were by far the worst I've ever had, zero flavor. The General NG's chicken that was marked spicy was event works, just sugar syrup on a ton of breading with very little chicken. I've had better food out of the Safeway deli. read more

They were out of beverages and we were ignored by the waitress and took reminders from another person for her to finally serve us. Wait staff were incredibly rude and belittling when we raised a concern about waiting a protracted period of time for service and actually had to track someone down so we could pay our bill. Overall service and ambiance was good. It's got good swag. Sat at a bar table which is nice option to have. Dirty martini was up to standard. Food however is basic and lacking flavor. I had the tuna tower and the seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was as if it was store bought from an Asian market. Not bad, but nothing special. I expected something elevated, with a variety of seaweed or at least some twist on the original. The tuna tower is sushi fish, avocado, rice and a wasabi/mustard aioli. It was fine but, again super basic. Lacking in flavor. Asked for a side of chili sauce and it was an improvement. The cut of fish could also have been better. Overall mediocre food with good service. We walked in at 8:58 for their happy hour menu that runs from 9pm-close and they turned us away, said "we did last call already". I asked what time last call is and she said 8:45. I work in a restaurant and doing last call an hour and 15 minutes before close is ridiculous especially when your happy hour menu doesn't even start till 9pm. Comes across so rude and lazy. 10pm is when you close not when you get off lol, if you work in the industry you should know this. read more

I made a reservation to take my son for his birthday dinner. This is the second time I've dined here. The first time it was very unorganized and we never got half the food we ordered. They're a new restaurant so I chalked it up to growing pains and decided to give it another try. We showed up 2 minutes early for our 715 reservation and did not get seated until 750. They had plenty of tables available but they waited and only sat us once a 4top was ready. The host had zero communication skills and I observed a handful of employees talking trash about management while we waited. My party was not the only party experiencing this same issue. They need to figure out how to handle the heavy volume of patrons or stop taking reservations all together. It is really disappointing since the food is good and it could be a really fun place to eat. read more

We went for the first time last Friday night before a concert at the Arena. Folks, this place is popular so make a reservation. Asian fusion is the best way to describe, but lots to choose from and it was excellent. Potstickers, spicy wontons, dumplings and sweet and sour...all amazing. Service was on point but they were extremely busy. My vodka cranberry was mostly cranberry, will have wine or straight vodka with a twist next time. Beautiful decor and nice vibe. This was my first visit here and I was very excited. The items ordered were Mongolian beef, cup of hot and sour soup and cup of egg flower soup. Spicy pork wontons, garlic cucumber and the green beans. We had made reservations online through Open Table. We didn't request bar seating but ended up there...maybe it was because there were only 2 of us? Actually, the bar turned out to be more quiet than the restaurant itself as it was pretty lively. The wait for food once ordered was a good 30 minutes...but finally the food came! The soups were very good, I'd definitely order them again. The Mongolian Beef was very good and I'd order that again too. The cucumbers were lacking any garlic flavor but you could taste the rice wine vinegar, I was looking forward to the garlic though. The green beans were pretty bland and there weren't many of them. The photo shows the plate before any were eaten. The spicy wontons were just okay, they were kind of mushy, I wouldn't order these again. I know this place is new and probably still working out a lot of kinks. You can't beat the view and sunsets, our server was attentive and he did a good job. The ambiance is nice, next time I think I'll try an outdoor table. Overall I was happy with the meal, it wasn't outrageously priced. I definitely will come back again and try some of the noodle dishes and the buns. It's great to have an alternative to the other Marina restaurants! read more

The ambiance was a solid 5/5! From the moment you walk in to the seating it was truly beautifully done, even the restrooms, which by the way are very clean. The view, especially at sunset adds even more to the ambiance. The restaurant space is a bit loud but I was able to easily tune it out and have an easy conversation. The food was 3-3.5/5. I love good food so much that I would gladly overpay for a well executed meal, but sadly most of our dishes were underwhelming. We ordered potstickers, lobster dumplings, sauteed green beans and Mongolian beef. The potstickers were cooked too fast, so not enough time to get that nice little burn/crust that makes them super delicious. The lobster dumplings were pretty tasty. I could easily have gone for a second order (each order comes with 4). The green beans were steamed and then at the last minute added to sauteed onions, meaning they did not get much flavor in them. I love green beans and this was very disappointing. Our first order of Mongolian beef was alright, not outstanding but ok. The beef had the sticky glaze on it and the flavor was good. The sauce could have used a little more oomph. After we realized that we did not have enough food we placed a second order of Mongolian beef and this is where things took a nosedive. It was cooked so fast that there was zero char on the beef. It looked and tasted more steamed than fried. There was even less flavor than the first one. We could not get halfway through that plate. The final disappointment was their desserts, or lack thereof. The only two choices for the night were the sweet egg bao and vanilla ice cream. Out of their menu of seven items that was it. We decided to pass on both options since we had originally set out to get the cheesecake and matcha ice cream. Total bill for five items (no drinks or dessert) was around $90, so pretty standard. If the food quality was higher it could easily be worth $120-$140 due to the phenomenal ambiance. This is a very new restaurant and with all the hype around its opening (and believe me it was crowded) this is probably part of the growing pains as they learn their new space and clientele. I will probably come back one more time after 6 months or so. I want to believe that once the 'new' wears off they will put more focus on food quality and consistency. read more

Don't let the name fool you. This is an amazing dim sum and more restaurant. The decor and place settings are 4-star. The staff was tremendous but you tell they are all are still working into a rhythm to streamline service. Ordering is similar to traditional dim sum where you order off a paper menu with your pencil. But they need to work out a system as the other dim sum restaurants do, where they leave the menu there so you can continue to order additional dim sum throughout the meal. I'm sure if they figure this out, they'll bring in a few more dollars from the customers when ordering. We sat inside in a half circle booth, which was nice for a birthday we were celebrating. They have two outdoor sections, one that has rollup doors and the other that is strictly outside patio, which we'd like to try on another sunny day. This restaurant is related to China City located in mill creek town center. We noticed the prices are slightly higher due In fact, I'm sure to the waterfront location, but was worth the extra cost. We will definitely return they have a decent happy hour. read more

Also ordered the Seabass Black Bean Sauce for $18 that was mostly carrots with very little mushy seabass. Our drink (Tito's and soda water w/ pineapple splash) order came incorrect twice.
