So spicy but so gooood! Really enjoyed their spicy sauerkraut fish and glass noodle bowl and their popcorn chicken. This was a takeout order so I cannot say much about the service but the ambiance is very casual. Would definitely recommend if you like spicy.

Welcoming team and easy to navigate menu. Sauerkraut fish Soup is quite the mouthful. But if you like tangy, rich broth with lots of flavor depth. This is for you. The fish is not prominent in the flavor palette, in my humble opinion. Lots of options for fish lovers and beyond. Opted for their signature, smaller size of two offered. A good portion if you're super hungry. Comes with bowl of rice. Snake fish (+$3) is worth the upgrade. I did not love the basa fish. Broth was a lovely numbing spicy. There are other non spicy options. You can also add which vegetables you want or tofu for added protein. The drawer in the table was so cute, has napkins and extra cutlery. Worth a try!

Food: I decided to try this restaurant because of the good reviews but was disappointed. We tried both of the signature fish with sauerkraut dishes; it comes with a selection of two toppings (options: tofu, glass noodles, tofu skins, wood ear mushrooms, cabbage, or lettuce). Both of the signature dishes were very similar, and you can choose between basa fish or snakehead. The dishes were okay, but there are definitely other restaurants that are better for this type of cuisine. I like Young Fish (just around the corner on 8th Avenue) much better for their food and service and would recommend you go there instead of here. The popcorn chicken was not bad; it was moist and flavorful but also nothing special. At the end of the meal, they give you a small cup of soft serve ice cream which I wasn't a fan of. Overall, the food wasn't impressive, and I won't be returning here. Service: Service was just okay and also disappointing. At the front of the restaurant, there was a big sign advertising a current promotion that said: "Order 2 combo meals + 1 side + 2 drinks and get $10 off your bill". I asked the server about the details of the promotion, and perhaps there was a language barrier, but they didn't specify that for the 2 drinks, you must order the plum juice ($4.95 each). When I ordered the two drinks, I asked for two cokes ($1.95 each). When they brought out two plum juices, I thought they just misunderstood my order, and I asked them to switch it for coke. When the bill came, I told them I was charged for two plum juices, not coke. They then explained that the promotion requires you to get the plum juices (which are more expensive than coke) in order to get the $10 off your bill. I was disappointed and didn't think this was fair because it's not clearly stated on the sign nor was it clearly explained when ordering. We wouldn't have chosen to do the promotion had we known we were required to get the plum juices as the drinks. Ambiance: The restaurant has tables that can accommodate both large and small groups. There are a good number of tables, and the restaurant is spacious and clean. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant; Young Fish on 8th Avenue is better.

Fantastic service with very flavorful food. I got the Suican fish and found the large to be the perfect amount for two. It automatically comes with two bowls of rice, broad vermicelli, and lettuce. It wasn't too spicy, but the heat definitely builds up over time. Waiters were all very helpful in helping us understand the menu since they primarily speak Mandarin with one waitress who spoke English. I'm definitely interested in trying their fatty beef when we come back again :)

very good food and service, portions are really worth it and staff is nice

The food was very fairly priced and the portions were huge. We got the pork soup dumplings, pork fried rice, szechuan chicken (which came with white rice), and pad see ew (which though not listed comes with pork, chicken, and shrimp). Everything was solid, but our favorite was the fried rice which had a ton of flavor. I liked the veggies that were in the chicken dish but there were just way too many of them compared to the chicken and I wasn't crazy about the sauce. The pad see ew wasn't made the traditional way I've had it with soy sauce and oyster sauce. It had some sort of orange sauce that tasted closer to a sweet and sour. It wasn't bad it was just not what I was hoping for. The soup dumplings were solid, no complaints there. And the fried rice was great, lots of flavor. Overall, I liked this place especially for the price but I'd probably order different things if I went back.

I found parking down the block and walked over to the restaurant. It seems like more of a delivery spot because there was no one inside sitting at any of the 5 tables. It's a fairly good size space, very simply decorated, mixed with a cool wall resembling a curio cabinet of treasures. I chose a spot in the middle and went to the restroom which was clean and simple. I noticed there were a lot of takeout orders, from delivery services to local folks picking up their regular dinner. I looked over the menu and decided on salt and pepper wings and an order of shrimp. Fried Rice came out first and it was delicious. I even tasted a hint of salted egg yolk mixed into the egg mixture friefried up with the rice that signature crispiness with the little saltiness.... fantastic. The salt and pepper wings were different than the ones i'm accustomed to though the flavor was amazing. It didn't have the fried garlic, peppers, chilis, and onions that i'm accustomed to being in the dish. They were still flavorful, juicy and crisp and I could tell they cooked them fresh. That was much appreciated. I ended up taking half of my food home because I was stuffed.Thank you Msm Ellen and the Crown Garden crew for a tasty solo dinner.

I decided to try the bourbon chicken with plain fried rice and I was very pleased with my order. The chicken was seasoned just right and tasted amazing. I also ordered a lemonade which came with a slice of lemon inside. I couldn't eat of my food that evening so I placed the rest inside of the refrigerator for lunch the following day. Lunchtime came around so I heated the rest of food for my lunch and the food tasted just as good as it did the previous day. The restaurant's decor wasn't anything spectacular, just plain and simple. I like to look around the restaurant if possible to check out the cleanliness of the business overall. It seemed to be very clean to me......in my opinion. I will definitely be back to patronize Hardee's again for great food and good service.

However, the real negative here is the operations. It is a chaotic mess for the volume they are trying to do. It's not about adding more manpower, it's about streamlining. Tables are sitting empty while people are on the waitlist (not due to reservations), orders are going to the wrong tables, to-go orders are in disarray and have to be re-verified on multiple orders, and it takes a long time to get some water. The Yelp waitlist is useless here - wait was supposed to be 5-10 minutes and it turned into almost 40. All this could have been avoided with more planning, better organization, and training. Kitchen staff doing their job well. Front of house needs work.
