We came by here after a recommendation as my usual fave, Richie Rich, completely fell off. We got oxtail plates which were delicious- the cabbage was fresh, rice and pea and oxtail was amazing. I believe they have great drinks as well and I hope to try those next time I'm around.

This review is based on their delivery service... I ordered from Fish N' Ting on a Sunday afternoon. My order took one hour and 30mins to arrive. Once it did arrived I was extremely disappointed with their packaging. The plate almost dropped out of the wet paper bag. The paper bag was wet because the top of the plate was not properly secured allowing the sauce from the pasta to leak out. It was an absolute mess. The Fish N' Ting chicken pasta that I ordered was ok (a tad sweeter than what I prefer) but the majority of the sauce was in the bag.

I am a rum drinker so I was in heaven when we went to Fish N' Ting for Dinner. All I was thinking about was their rum punch and how many I can throw back (not many). I ordered the Jerk Chicken with the peas and rice. It was really good, very moist and not dried out. My rum punch was the best rum punch I ever had in the Bronx. Not too sweet and you can taste the Wray & Nephew rum. I'm so glad I wasn't the designated driver because we would have had to call an Uber. The wait staff was friendly and they look like they enjoy their job. They all seem so happy and had big smiles on their face and I smiled right back at them. It was not my first time here and it definitely won't be my last time. I'm glad that I don't live too far from Fish N' Ting.

Spantanous Sunday night cocktails with one of my girls. After two months in SC, we needed to partake in a little girl chat catch up. With the minimum requirements of good drinks and no excessive travel, she suggested FnT. Just so happens to be in her regular rotation and in my bookmarked collection. As many before me, when I bookmarked FnT I was under the impression that it was the typical West Indian to-go spot. To my surprise it is just that and more. If you would like to sip and dine then you head to the back where they have revamped and covered some outdoor space. We grabbed a high-top table off to the side and ordered some drinks and a couple of small bites. The Island Rum punch ($12) was good but not addictive like some of the best rum punches can be, I still had a couple along with a G-spot ($12). I ordered the G-spot last and enjoyed it more then the punch, I am aware that after a few rum punches my judgement could've been a little a skew but it was good. We ordered Callaloo Spring Rolls($6) and Fish Fingers($10) and both were very tasty with the fish fingers leaving a lasting impression over the spring rolls for me. Service was kind, attentive and helpful. All drinks and food were served promptly. The restrooms could've used some detailed attention, thankfully I only required it to wash my hands. We didn't order entrées because that wasn't what the night called for. However, on my return a food exploration is in order, as I have heard it's good and the Rasta Pasta is definitely worth a try. Just A Note: The area can appear desolate at night to those unfamiliar with the area when the car dealerships close for business and parking can be a challenge but it's not impossible.

I had mac & cheese, festivals and ordered my family chicken fried rice and stewed chicken. Everything was good. By the way restaurant called to let me know that they couldn't do the chicken the way I ordered it to ask if we still want to continue with our order, good customer service.

My friend suggested we hit this place. Thank god she check this place out online before we went... so she knew to ask for seating in the back. We were seated under one of the space heaters, but we had to ask someone to turn it off. After the guy turned it off... a girl from the table a few feet away say "I liked the heat"... We were like "Nah! That's directly on us and it's too hot. I ordered the Festival, Mac and cheese, Shrimp Rasta Pasta and Island Rum Punch. Festivals, Mac and cheese, Rum punch and Plantains arrived at the table. We told the waitress that we didn't order Plantains and we clarified it would not be on the check. It was on the check and we had to ask for it to be removed. Let me say though; I loved the Festivals. I wouldn't get the Rasta pasta again. My friend also ordered something to go but that wasn't sorted correctly. Our waiter was friendly and polite, so we weren't bother by it as much while he got the order corrected. We also had a surprised guest of the night. A racoon walked across the top of the tarp overhead... loved the last look before it disappeared back into the night.

Walk in and you are in what seems like you average bronx West Indian carryout spot. However to the left is a walkway that leads to a covered and well heated insulated outdoor restaurant. (I did hear some sitting by the walls complain of a draft but they had large tiki like heaters). We arrived at 930pm on a Saturday night. We waited about two minutes standing in the walkway without being acknowledged. At that point a waiter shouted across from about 3 tables over to two waitresses standing right in front of us chatting "hey you not gonna seat them." Service altogether was slow. To get our food. To be checked on. To attract someone to get glasses of water. To get the check. Only our drinks and food order was taken quickly. And at one point they brought out food and placed it in front of me....food I didn't order and that belonged to the table over. Food: We had the rum punch and lychee martini. Drinks were strong and delicious. To eat we had the fish fingers...served hot and good but could've used a tad more salt. The chicken and shrimp fried rice which was delicious. This is a huge portion that could easily feed 2. Not stingy at all on the shrimp. Brown stew snapper was good but unmemorable. And a side of festival which comes as knots and are amazing. Food made this place worth it. *note the actual dishes/plates are large and the tables small. They might want to rethink this because we had to do a lot of plate rearranging *

Festivals here are pretty good; everything else is a bit blah. The jerk isn't really flavorful, just spicy and the rice is H A R D. Mac and cheese was very disappointing; they didn't skimp on the cheese but it's just a congealed block. Chicken fried rice is okay though.

And the lady's there are always so pleasant which makes me come back again compared to other restaurants. Food is delicious! You get a nice portion . The only thing I don't like is the small unisex bathroom. It's a pretty big place I think they should invest in a woman's only bathroom. I don't like to look at a urinal that smells like pee wen I'm using the restroom. read more

I liked the entire vibe and feel of this place. The food was good, it wasn't the best like people have claimed. I ordered the shrimp Rasta pasta. It was tasty, however, a little soupy. The pasta sauce was watery and not thick. The meal would've been much better if the sauce was thicker. My friend ordered oxtails rice and peas, and loved it! The ambiance was very nice. The inside looked like a little hole in the wall, but once you get outside, it feels and looks much better. The Service was good. The waiter warned me that I may get bit by mosquitos due to the perfume I was wearing, and brought me over some "OFF" bug spray. She checked on the table periodically, and was attentive. read more

This place looks like your typical Jamaican restaurant at first, but the seating out back is like an oasis in the desert. It is so beautiful and I feel like I am outside of the Bronx for a few moments. The food is delicious Jamaican and Asian inspired with amazing drinks. Surrounded by car dealerships and repair shops, it's easy to miss. This charming bar and restaurant is a gem in the community. Excellent service, selection and atmosphere. Outside patio is a plus. Food is delicious and authentic. They deliver too. Check them out! read more

For the past 2 to 3 years I have ordered take out and also dined quite frequently. The rasta pasta has improved and they're a little more generous with the shrimp. I absolutely love the sliced fish or whole fish as it always tastes fresh and is well seasoned. The service is always good as I am always seated right away and they have a pretty good drink selection too! The only con would be parking as it is a pretty busy street and not many options for parking. read more

I've eaten here a few times before, and it was fine. Always the shrimp Rasta pasta.This time I had the worst experience, it gave me bad bubble guts, in the bathroom all day which is horrible being that I'm 4 months pregnant . Scary and upsetting at the same time. read more

I typically get my food to go from this establishment. Their food is pretty good as I always try to support my island people. My biggest complaint with Fish N' Ting is their staff. There are many times where I'm there waiting to order and the females there just act as if no one is at the counter waiting. A lot of them are fake busy or gossiping about nothing. There's usually one guy who always asks me if I'm being served and that's how I always get my order in. There's also an older lady there sometimes, who is always pleasant and helpful. But the other females working there by the register aren't helpful at all (unless you are their friends). And I say this because you can see the difference in attitude and service when their friends are there! Aside from the 60% horrible staff this place still has good food and drinks which is why most people including myself come back. 3 stars from me until I see improvement. Note: I grabbed food to go today and the same thing happened. Waited to be served after standing there for a couple minutes. A few ladies looked and kept walking until one young lady asked for my order. read more

Wow. I have a new favorite place to DINE AT...What Can I say? I heard real good things about the food here so growing up eating island food all my life , and eating amazing at home initially I thought it would be like every other Carribean restaurant. I was SOOO wrong...one taste of the oxtail Rasta Pasta was heaven in my mouth literally. BETTER THEN FOOTPRINTS IN BROOKLYN -(YEA I SAID IT) The Oxtail fell of the bone in a creamy cheesy sauce and at that moment I knew ...this would be my new go to Carribean spot. The Goat Curry might of been one of the best i have had minus from my grandmothers kitchen lol. Not to mention prior the Hennessy colada was hitting and tasted so authentic not like that water down mess at other restaurants it did not taste like a mixed up can piña colada frozen nonsense at all. Poison ivy drink was delicious and the Bob Marley shot literally . Was a great experience for sure . The decor is as a backyard Yardi style for sure but in the winter the heaters were more then enough to keep you warm , a great place to be cozy and being someone for a date and P.S a hot date will keep you warmer ; ) . 5/5 for sure. read more

Absolutely outraged,With Covid-19 going on,I went to here and receive a raw fried fish. The skin was fried but inside was raw. The fish looked like it was rotten. When I went there to show them the fish no one could tell me how I can possible receive a "raw fried fish" that I ordered 30 minutes before I got there. This was unacceptable on every Level.No room for that in Westchester, especially in a community filled with elderly and retired citizens. This establishment won't get away with this. I can no longer trust that they follow proper healthy and safety guidelines read more

Small little Jamaican joint in a industrial use neighborhood. A friend took me here and recommended the food..she said it's not grandma's cooking but more like "aunties style cooking". I had the oxtail entree, rice and peas, and fried plantains. We also ordered a side of the mac and cheese. The place is very modest inside. The food was pretty decent. The day we went there was no heat so it was cold. Had some of the fruit punch to drink. Love that they put ginger inside for a nice little kick. read more

We were offered a table on the deck which was nice. They staff was very nice everyone we walked passed greeted us. The food was great and the waiter kept coming back to make sure we were satisfied. Although we left with mosquito bites our overall experience was great. Went here on a Sunday night and it was pretty empty. My girl ordered jerk chicken and I had the oxtail. Both plates were great and the service was prompt. I think Lionel Richie was on the Internet radio because the playlist was soothing and my girl enjoyed all the songs. Atmosphere was a little divey and the furniture wasn't really appealing. However, food taste and service for me counts most. I probably won't come back very often because price was pretty high but the place was a good experience non the least. read more

Giving 3 stars because the food is good. Ordered chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta, paid the price for it $43 and change only to open my bag and only have chicken Rasta pasta. This has been the last few times I order things are wrong or just completely missing. Not to mention when you call to order or call to tell them about your order their attitude is atrocious and then you get hung up on. read more

Place ambience was good, music was great, food was ehh.. not good enough to come back. Overpriced. I had the rasta pasta and it was so much sauce I had to stop eating it. Oxtails ehh... Little for a lot of money. Mac & Cheese was okay. Festival was okay. If I did go back, I would probably just get something small and simple. Oh & Bob Marley shots! Other than that, I probably wont be going back. read more

They are literally a hidden gem in the Bronx! Food is amazing, so flavorful and lives up to the West Indian standards! I always get their shrimp and chicken rasta pasta which is made to order so definitely call in advance because you'll be waiting a while. read more

This was my first experience at Fish n Tings. My cousin had gone a few times and always raved so we finally dropped in together. We had a booth by the window to keep an eye on our car. The ONLY downside is poor parking. The food was delish. And our server was kind, prompt and cute. My cousin also had the Hennessy Coolata. She described it as strong and tropical. read more

The food was amazing... I ordered curry chicken with rice and peas and an oxtail dinner with bami... I traveled all the way from Manhattan and I never tasted such good food... I found this place on Yelp and I'm so glad I did!! I've been searching for a good Jamaican food spot and this is it.The food is amazing! God bless those hands in the kitchen! Hubby and I was feeling spontaneous and decided to dine in. I'm so glad we came, it's been a long time since I had some good cooking from a restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. Our server was very nice and made sure we was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this place. The only minor issue is parking but at night the parking shouldn't be that bad. You can also pick up your food as well. read more

This place is terrible. I ordered off Uber Eats. I thought I made a good choice because they reviews were mostly positive. I was wrong. First, it took over an hour and half to receive my food. The restaurant is less than 15 mins away. Then my oxtail was burnt. It literally tasted like charcoal plus the meant was tough. Then my fish was missing sides and had no flavor! The fish tasted like the ocean. I'm so disappointed. I thought u found a new place for Caribbean but I'll never order from here again. read more

If there was an option for 6 stars they would get it. The best customer service I've received from a Jamaican restaurant. Our drink and complimentary cup of chicken soup came within 2 mins of the order and our food within 10 minutes of sitting down. The Rasta pasta though spicy was good and the stuffed roast fish was amazing!!! Everything looked good. We will certainly be back! read more

The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.

Oh, Fish N' Ting, how the mighty have fallen! What was once a shining culinary gem has now become a sinking ship, leaving disappointment in its wake. Strap on your life jackets, folks, because this review is about to take you on a turbulent journey. I've had the misfortune of ordering from Fish N' Ting on eight separate occasions throughout the years, and each time, the experience has been worse than the last. It's like watching a slow-motion train wreck unfold, except the train is carrying flavorless, lackluster food. Let's start with the Chicken Rasta Pasta, or as I like to call it, the "watery flavorless mess." This dish lacks any semblance of taste, drowning in a sea of blandness, with barely a trace of chicken to salvage the situation. It's a sad departure from what used to be an amazing dish, leaving me longing for the good old days. Next up, is the Curried Goat. I had high hopes for this dish, but alas, it fell flat. Lacking in flavor and balance, it left me yearning for the authentic, robust flavors that should accompany such a classic dish. It's as if the goat lost its mojo and took the flavors down with it. And don't get me started on the Jerk Chicken. What was once a juicy, subtly spiced masterpiece has now become disappointingly mediocre. It's like a faded copy of its former self, lacking the punch and excitement that used to make it shine. The festival, on the other hand, should come with a warning label. It's so sweet it could give you a sugar rush that rivals eating a dozen donuts. Sweetness overload, anyone? Let's not forget the sauces. The Jerk Sauce is a pitiful attempt at capturing the true essence of jerk flavors, leaving me wondering if it's just a bad joke. The BBQ sauce, on the other hand, is a strange and flavorless concoction that seems to have been diluted with water. It's a far cry from the bold and tangy sauce you'd expect. Even the side dishes have lost their luster. The Mac and Cheese is a sad excuse for a cheesy delight, lacking any semblance of flavor or excitement. And the Fried Chicken, oh dear, it needs serious help. The emaciated, bony chicken is a greasy, tasteless disaster. It's a sad sight to behold, leaving me questioning if there was any meat on those bones, to begin with. The Curried Chicken managed to be okay, but in the midst of all the disappointments, that's hardly a consolation prize. The Fish Soup hit or miss as it may be, is simply not worth the price tag attached. I must mention that I've ordered each time through the Uber Eats app, hoping that maybe the experience would improve, but alas, it remained consistently disappointing. The value simply does not match the lackluster quality of the food being served. Fish N' Ting, I implore you to find your way back to the flavors and quality that once made you a gem in the Bronx. It's a shame to see a restaurant lose its way, and I sincerely hope that you can rediscover the path to culinary excellence. Until then, I'll be setting sail elsewhere in search of a dining experience that won't leave me feeling adrift. Bon voyage! read more

I absolutely LOVE all things Jamaican, but especially the food. This place does not disappoint. I ordered Oxtails with rice and pigeon peas and thought I went to heaven. So we decided to go again and was pleasantly surprised the service was just as good as was the food. I have found that restaurants sometimes are not consistent with their service or food quality but this establishment is. I again ordered the chicken rasta pasta and my friend ordered the oxtail with rice and peas. The plating is nice and the portions are generous. I recently took my parents for a nice anniversary dinner, and it was great. The carrot juice was very well done, plus my Rasta pasta was excellent.
