#3 Combo. Red Snapper, 3 dumplings, plantain $15.50

Very legit food that I deliberately travel from Manhattan for. I think the best way to start the day is with fish. We'll talk about how to end the day proper, another time. They serve a good portion size entree. Their plantains are good and they have fresher protein selections than others. The service is friendly, and the place is in a highly accessible area next to a major highway. They do have a smallish parking area, and street parking is very limited. Keep that in mind and call in your order if you know what you'd like in advance! Don't forget to order your drink!!!

Caribbean food on point! Love everything in here! Cheap as well! Location: It is located in Baychester, Bronx. The interior is okay. Didn't stay here, just order and go! Service: no interaction. Just order and go! Food: Everything was so delicious and good! FRIED CHICKEN: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, damn i can eat whole box! So good! JERK CHICKEN: the sauce on the chicken is so delicious and perfect amount of spice! Comes with fresh veggies! OXTAIL: damn this is my favorite! Huge serving and the oxtail was cooked perfectly! Price rating: 7/10, the price matches all the deliciousness! Not bad for all the goodness. I will be back here to try their Ackee! But get the oxtail if you can! So delicious!

Heard a lot about Thai place but never got the chance to visit because am not in the BX often; I happened to be about ten minutes away from the restaurant and made it my business to check them out; COVID measures are in place, hand sanitizers are available as you walk in and masks are require for entry . I got the fish fritters, dumpling and a drink. The fish fritters are amazing, soft, fresh with a nice kick of peppers . I wasn't impressed with the dumplings but they were good. I got a natural beet, ginger & sea moss drink that was ok.

Food is great but be careful of the overcharged price if you are dining? They almost double the price on your order for dining in, charge a credit card fee when we paid with cash. When ask why they was a big difference in price we was told it's because we are receiving fresh food. I would believe everyone is supposed to get fresh food. We wasn't even giving the chance to fully tip because they charge it per item for service for dining in. For example jerk chicken was $13 if I order it to go and was charge $18. This should be said before dining that you will be charge for service on your bill automatically if that's the case. Which would be fine but let them customer have the option first.

I like the Dumplin Cove for their fish and dumplings that's about it. Their other food is okay, the customer service needs to be better.

Rice & Peas & Tings is located toward the rear of the Bronx Terminal Market food court. I wound up here early on a Sunday morning and decided to give them a try. After the warm greeting, I asked if it was too early for stew chicken and was told 'Course not'. I was given a hearty serving of food, with EXTRA GRAVY like I requested. I could have fallen in love right there. I grabbed one of the many available tables, near the Christmas tree, so I could look wistfully out, onto...the highway. While the plate was plentiful, the chicken I received was small boney pieces. If you look, you can see the chicken back in my picture. This is not exactly a complaint (bones are for chewing), but I would have liked to have more actual meat. The chicken itself was also slightly sweeter than my preference, but still very good. Honestly they had me at the extra gravy and could probably do no wrong. The rice and veg were both well cooked and I have no complaints on either. I will definitely return and try different things from the menu (looking at you oxtail).

Saw a large sign boasting, Rice & Peas & Tings, so I strolled over. Behind the counter was this cordial young gentleman who I had a lengthy conversation with. In a part of our conversation he informed me that they recently opened in the Terminal in 2024 and they are eagerly looking forward to sharing their food with the masses. For the undecided, samples are offered to help in any decision making. I didn't accept his offer of samplings, but what better way to entice someone. I remember when Fish N' Ting first opened several years ago and I'm pleased to know that this family run establishment is still kicking. I would put it in my top five list for Jamaican restaurants in the city. The menu is wide and varying and accommodating of different diets. If you love jerk chicken, you need to try it here! The jerk chicken lovers in my life can't get enough. My recommended dishes are the whiting (fried) with rice and peas, rasta pasta and now the lobster (which I didn't know they had). The seafood is made to order, fresh and super tasty. I never thought sweet chili and lobster would be a good combo but it totally rocks! It was truly delectable. My only issue is that they charge for gravy if the dish isn't saucy (as if) lol but I get it!

My order took about 25 minutes, but the escovitch snapper was clearly made fresh. The rice and peas with steamed cabbage were flavorful and delicious. The fish had a nice spice, but the escovitch dressing was missing that signature tang--didn't taste like it had any vinegar, which was a little disappointing. Not the best escovitch I've had, but still satisfying overall.

They have a DJ so if you're looking to vibe while enjoying Ghanian food, this could be the spot. It was my first time trying Malt and the best way I can describe it is it tastes like molasses, slightly bitter, slightly yeasty but very mild overall. We started off with the Chicken Suya which was a bit dry and chewy but the suya seasoning made all the difference. It tastes like a blend of chili powder, ginger, garlic, onion powder, paprika, etc. It was a fine starter but definitely skippable. For entrees, we got the Street Waakye and Jollof Queen. I've had waakye (pronounced waa-che) before but this was pretty dry. The spaghetti was light and I actually liked that they used thinner noodles rather than the regular spaghetti. This dish comes with fried fish which was light, flaky, and moist. The real winner was the goat stew. I'm salivating just thinking about it! You get the essence of tomato, the tenderness and slight gamey flavor from the goat, and the thick and luscious sauce that was an explosion of flavors. I even dipped the boiled egg into the sauce which was unbelievably satisfying. The jollof rice from the Jollof Queen was cooked way better than the waakye. It was moist, well-seasoned, and didn't really need anything added to be good. I loved the sweet plantains and the chicken was also well-prepared. Considering how much jollof rice there was and that it was ~$25, they could've given more than 2 pieces of chicken. Overall, it was a pretty good meal! When the bill came, I saw there was an automatic 18% gratuity added which is totally fine considering we were a party of 7. However, they then pointed out that this wasn't tip and was a fee for "the table". I eat out a lot and never in my life have I heard of this. We ended up adding another 10% on top of that. They also charge a 3% credit card fee. I don't agree with them trying to squeeze out more money from customers who are already coming and spending money; this is definitely not the norm anywhere else I've been. Not too many restaurants in NYC serving Ghanaian cuisine but you'll enjoy some traditional dishes here.
