I've been here several times and can say that the customer service could be better. There is often no one at the cash register to take my order and it seems like I should be spending my money somewhere else. The food often tastes old and there have been a few times where they messed up my order. This is a great and inexpensive place to come for fish. It's kind of like a fast food fish place. The ambiance isn't all that but the food is good. My husband and I got the jumbo shrimp platter and the mahi mahi both in garlic butter sauce. He got fries with his and I got the grilled zucchini with mine. Both were pretty good. It's not gourmet but you really cant beat less than $12 for great tasting fish. Next time we plan on trying the Cajun spice. I came here a few times sat in and also ordered out. The past couple times I was a fan of this place, not sure was it the owner was there supervising or the cooks had a great day. But last Wednesday before noon, I placed a phone order for a Charbroiled Trout w/ Garlic Butter and Fries. The lady told me my food will be ready in 10-15 minutes. I literally left in 5 minutes after I got off the phone with her from my office which was less than 3 minutes away. I paid for my food and when straight back to the office. Opened it up and my food was already cold and my fries were soggy cut in half-less on portion than I recall my past experience with ordering to go. Hard to believe this place already giving out bad order so soon given the fact they only been opened a few months. I mean - Who wants to eat a cold Charbroiled fish and soggy old fries and paid for more than $10 a meal?? I rather go next door for Greek or San Sai for the Mexican made sushi. Employees were not friendly and didn't smile, seemed like they really didn't want to serve us. The food was mediocre. Our clam chowder soups were barely warm, borderline cold. This has become one of our go to places for lunch. The line gets somewhat long after 12:30 & the parking also gets a little hectic. But the trek is worth the reward. Solid food across the board. Place is simple, clean, and reasonably priced. My only knock would be the fried food is sometimes a little greasy, but everything else is excellent. My favorite dish would be the Hawaiian chicken, followed by the grilled salmon. All in all, a great go to. read more

I loved their grilled Mahi Mahi tacos! This seems to be a healthy option for lunch or dinner. It is reasonably priced too! I have yet to try their other stuff on the menu, but I hope that they keep the good food comin'! One thing that they can improve on is the waiting time. I went during a non lunch rush hour, later in the afternoon and the place was not full, and they took at least a good 20 minutes to bring my two grilled mahi mahi tacos and a side salad. The wait time may have been exaggerated due to the fact that I was starving and it seemed like an eternity! but they did take at least 20 minutes to bring me my food and it was a little cold when I got it. But it was worth it and I am happy to have found a healthy option for lunch. I will be back! read more

A fish place at a strip mall sort of thing, next to the airport doesn't really strike me as good eats. I relented after a lot of discussion with myself and you know what....the charbroiled orange roughy was not bad. I usually frequent Rocky's which is a historical landmark at Burbank just for being there for so long. I still prefer Rocky's but Fish Dish is convenient so its still a good choice. I can tell that the workers there are fairly new and are still finding their way through everything. At least they're nice and keep the place clean. read more

I love seafood and fish PERIOD.. So this place was a given to try from the start. There fried fish tacos are to die for and there pretty big too. 2 tacos fill me up! And my dad had the mahi mahi over a bed of greens that was good also. Wasn't overly seasoned or not to dry. Just right. I was so glad to see a bunch of restaurants just outside the walls of the Burbank airport. I was glad I found this place: I'll go back each time I fly in here. I got the blackened charbroiled salmon. It was a lot better than I expected! It tasted like a fish from a much higher-end restaurant. Food is great. Horrible service. The register girl had such a negative attitude, barely spoke to take our order. Took our order wrong. The serving lady had a nasty attitude too. I tried to check on our order, because it was late, and she waved me with her hand to go away because 'she got it'. Very rude staff. So came in tonight on Sunday at 8:15 which I know it is close to closing hour which i usually stay away from because they want to go home (8:30) had a couple in front of me who took about 5 minutes to decide on what to order so i got my order in at 8:20....had a couple right behind me and they put their order in.....15 minutes goes by and the people behind me get their order.....i wait another 10 minutes and ask the owners wife whats up with my order why did they get theirs before me......she is nice but laughs...oh your chicken is taking longer.....i had seen the chicken was on which is a thin slice for a chicken bowl and should be quick just like any fish.......after 35 minutes my order is ready......rice is under cooked like bullets in all 3 plates.....the shrimp skewers are cold but over cooked......rice is bullets.....my trout is over cooked and dry like jerky.....rice is like bullets.....the chicken bowl is like rubber with mushy white rice and asked for the non spicy sauce....its dowsed in spicy sauce..........$45 total for a rushed nasty experience.....and made to wait for 35 minutes for a gross meal........bottom line is.....this place is usually good......just do not come close to closing time.....because they just simply do not give a crap about the quality........will not be coming back........both the owners were there during closing time....the wife seemed to give a crap but the man counting the days income.....was like hurry the F up lets go......I NEVER WILL COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION........NASTY.... read more

Interesting concept, reasonable prices, and a surprisingly deep menu ... BUT.... the taste was truly "meh". I had the mahi mahi in garlic butter, my companion the grilled shrimp skewers. Both portions were larger than expected, and both were slightly over cooked. Taste was lacking. The white rice was well done, but the brown rice was terrible. Honestly, I love this place. Great shrimp burritos and awesome burrito bowls (shrimp and mahi mahi are my favorite). There's been a groupon deal for a while now too for those that want to try it out (I'm maxed out on purchasing any more, haha), but it's a good place to get a decent amount of food for a good price. I just walked out of Fish Dish completely dumbfounded. I must have asked a complex question that NO ONE behind the counter could answer... the difference between cod and pollock. I don't know the answer. But, I do expect a place that sells fish and has fish in its name to be able to educate a customer as to their own products. I have had variations of the catfish: fried, grilled, fish and chip style. Quite yummy! The first time I went here I got a very knowledgeable server who put my order in correctly. The second time I got a girl who didn't understand the term fish and chips, so I got the fried catfish plate instead. I was mildly disappointed, but the fish was good so I let it slide.
