As many times as I've ordered delivery from here, I can't believe I've not yet posted a review. That's how satisfied I've been with them (and speaks to the fact that we need to write more reviews when we're just simply satisfied!). This review is for their delivery service: 1) Calling them: communications are always a little dicey ("like, do they really know my address? How much do I owe? How do they know who I am? It's magic!!") 2) Delivery service: it's always speedy and friendly, ALWAYS, and the food always arrives hot, well-packed, and fresh. Tip your delivery person, folks! 3) FOOD: here's what I've ordered and how they are: --pork dumplings (like gyoza, pan fried): sooo good, with a nicely balanced vinegary-umami lightly spiced dipping sauce. Hard to stop--don't order if you're on a diet! --sesame chicken: meh. Too heavily breaded and greasy, sauce kinda gloppy and sweet. Kids won't even eat it. --spring rolls: lightly fried, good balance of fillings, fresh and pretty decent overall. --cashew chicken: jam packed with cashews, cubed chix, bamboo shoots, and other veggies in a decent sweetish/salty sauce. Serviceable. --steamed shrimp and veg: my fave. Loaded with plump fresh jumbo shrimp, loaded with perfectly steamed snow peas, broccoli, carrots, bamboo shoots, and other fun veggies in a light gingery broth --steamed veggies w pineapple: get this, trust! You'll feel better about all the tons of food you're eating. Strips of fresh ginger throughout liven and lighten up the combo. Mix into your other saucy dishes to veg them up. --chix teriyaki skewers: smoky, sweet, generally very good and generous portion for the price. A win almost every time. --moo goo gai pan: just don't. Starchy, gloppy white sauce. Kinda scary. --beef or pork dishes: if you can handle the leftover-taste of these proteins, get them. I can't. Overall a great value--highly recommend. You know how hard it is to get good Chinese food, esp in Anderson, so we're lucky to have this place! read more

Hard working family, constant bickering in the kitchen, gotta love it! One of the few places that use fresh vegetables , really good food that's reasonably priced, I just wish they could make the General Tso's Chicken, hotter, I always have to use hot pepper flakes. Sometimes you have a really long day at work and you just want some comfort food, but don't want to cook and just want to get home. First Wok delivers! We ordered a few chicken entrees and fried rice. It was all delicious! My favorite was the sesame chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Often times Chinese chicken can be over cooked. Not the case with First Wok! It was great! The delivery was prompt and when it arrived, the food was still hot. If you're looking for another delivery option besides pizza, give First Wok a try. But, imagine you knew a place where the cook would make you literally any combination you could dream up, picking and choosing from a long list of ingredients. Now you know of one. Think of the traditional, printed menu on the counter, virtually identical in every fast food Chinese place in the U.S. as just the start. Want a dish with a brown, spicy sauce? No problem? Love peanuts, but hate vegetables! Just ask. They will make it - at a reasonable price. And, after a couple of tries, and you get your dish just the way you love it, the woman taking your order (it has been the same person for the years I have been going) will ALWAYS remember it when you come in to order. Fast food, but I love the food, and that I am helping families have a chance to live in America. Indentured servitude is a great way for these families to come and be able to have children as they see decide to. Seriously, this is more than good food and friendly service, this social justice in action. If you are looking for quick, fast, and affordable Pan Asian food in Anderson Township, First Wok is the place. My husband and I started going to First Wok when our former favorite, Panda Cafe in the Anderson Town Center, closed. We tried a few other places, but the flavor wasn't right, or the convenience just wasn't there. Then we found First Wok. Their food is fantastic, even if it is your "typical" Chinese carryout/delivery fare. I am a vegetarian, and in addition to the typical vegetarian dishes, First Wok happily makes me an order of the most delicious Hot & Sour Soup in town with no meat (they even inquired as to whether or not adding egg was acceptable for my dietary restrictions). The Bean Curd Home Style is delicous and comes with a large assortment of perfectly cooked veggies. My husband, a definite omnivore, is a big fan of their Double Sauteed Pork, but he can't stop eating the Crab Rangoons, which are plumper and have more crab filling than most places. And surprising though it may seem, the rice is cooked perfectly. The staff is very friendly, too, simply adding to our new habit of going back again and again. read more

This place made our day! I accidentally ordered from then wrong First Wok using door dash and had a not so great experience. BUT, this First Wok made up for it with an amazing gift of grace and good food!! It's a bit of a long story but needless to say the folks at First Wok on 5 mile are amazing. Been looking for decent Asian food in Anderson for quite some time with not much luck. Finally found 1st Wok, we will return to try more things on the menu. Everything was tasty and made to order. We did takeout on a Saturday night and the kitchen was humming with orders, another good sign. Won ton soup, general tso chicken and crab Rangoon were a hit for us. Chicken fried rice needed soy sauce. Look forward to trying more. read more

Monday-Friday there is a buffet ($6.89) from 12.30pm to 2.30pm What our family loves most about this restaurant is the kindness the owners share with each customer. I eat once a week the buffet and its great. I am a vegan. I called there and they made me a delicious vegetable vegan dish with fried tofu. Very friendly staff! I am leery of restaurants because I am strictly vegan, but these individuals appeared knowledgeable about vegans and their diets. The food was delicious! I will be back...soon! read more

We live about 1.5 miles away and due to hectic schedules order from here at least once every 2 weeks for the last year. We have NEVER had an issue. Sometimes delivery may be slow but that is rare. The woman who answers the phone remembers our orders, always is willing to go "off-menu" per the other reviews, and is truly a delight in an all-business manner. Probably the worst Chinese I've ever had. There are few deliveries on this side of town but you'd do better to open up a box from your freezer. The sweet and sour shrimp was soft and not crisp. The crab Rangoon was overwhelmed with onions. Everything was chewy and tasted like it was from a can or frozen. Nothing tasted fresh. read more
