Stopped by this coffee shop while vacationing in Maui and I am so impressed!…read more The exterior of the shop is like any type of truck style coffee shop. It's drive thru style and very convenient! We were greeted by 3 lovely baristas and they were sooo helpful in finding the order for me! My order can be difficult (sorry to all the baristas :( ) where I'm so particular on my milk/sugar/coffee ratio and they were able to get it perfectlyyyy. I ordered an iced double shot espresso W/ simple syrup and 2% milk. They didn't even have 2% but was still able to manually make it for me!! I am so appreciative of doing the extra mile for my drink. + points for using iced coffee cubes to make sure the drinks aren't watered down either! I highly recommend! My bf got a triple shot latte and it was so strong and very yummy too!

Since then I've been making a stop. Kraken Coffee Maui- Kahului is coffee food truck which also has drive thru. I always walk up to the window for service. They are pretty busy with only one barista working usually. Supporting local at Kraken and my favorite that I order is the caramel macchiato, or the vanilla macadamia nut latte. Love the strong brewed blended taste of coffee with sweetness. I think it is way better than the other guys. Service is good, getting my drink after I order is quick & I usually pair it with a donut from KK. There are 2 Kraken coffee shop, Kahului and Kihei, they are Maui's local coffee shop and roastery. If you visiting or on Maui, check out this grab and go coffee spot!

Since it was Sunday, I decided today was the day. I'm not a big coffee connoisseur because of a health condition I have and caffeine can affect me but I do love coffee (even if it doesn't love me) but I'll usually go with a Tea option or Smoothie. I decided on a simple smoothie so I got the Keiki Smoothie with Banana, Strawberry and Apple Juice. I asked the waitress what sandwich is the most popular and she said the Turkey Pesto Melt and boy did that hit! It really was the BEST sandwich. It was on a crispy, flaky...and might I add...buttery croissant with thick slices of turkey, tomato, creamy pesto aioli and melted provolone! It came with some chips and dill pickle on the side. The only downside was the price-it was about $17 so I'm sure I'll treat myself once in a good while to this. My small smoothie was $8 but refreshing nonetheless. I love the vibes inside with hanging plants and art work throughout. There was someone doing remote work or school in the corner with her sleepy golden retriever next to her, a few locals outside and some visitors inside. The workers are friendly and I saw one clean the outside tables right away after a few parties left. A nice spot to hit up for some nice breakfast, lunch and a coffee with a friend.

They have a fun eclectic collection of collections including money and map pins from around the world. She was super friendly in the front, sharing about all the things she's collected. Their menu is simple, pretty much eggs and meat. Everything is cooked to order and simply delicious. Coffee is a blend including locally sourced beans. Prices are reasonable but I wouldn't say cheap. It also seemed popular for large to go orders. It's worth checking out.

Luxe Latte happened to be right around the corner from our condo so we headed on over. It is a little trailer that is basically permanently situated right outside of Maui Golf in the parking lot. I say permanent because they along with a few other trailers have it all decked out with fencing, roofing, etc. It's very close to the water, so if you sit outside of their trailer and enjoy your drink, you can hear the waves. Like everywhere we went in Maui, customer service was outstanding. People are just happy out here! We had plans to eat later, so this was just a caffeine stop. They have a pretty big menu with lots of drink options. They have coffee, tea, frappes, espresso frappes, hot chocolate, Italian cream sodas and smoothies. All their brews are freshly roasted in Maui. I like a good latte and their signature Luxe Latte looked like the move for me. It had vanilla and raw Maui honey. I got it iced as the sun was shining bright that morning. I love that they present it with a little chocolate coffee bean on top of the drink. It's like a bonus. First sip of the drink and I was in love. You can taste the quality coffee along with the raw honey and vanilla. They definitely use quality ingredients here. If hunger strikes, they do have pastry options which I am not sure if they make on their own or source it from somewhere else.
