First Watch is a solid brunch spot. Cute country decor, delicious food and friendly service. My husband and I went there last weekend. We got biscuits and gravy and smoked salmon benedict. And coffee...they leave a carafe of coffee on your table so you can refill your mug when you are ready. Highly recommend getting there early on the weekends.

Frittata Rustica

This was a pretty decent visit to First Watch. I always appreciate the wide variety of health conscious items throughout their menu, which makes it super easy to find something when you have dietary restrictions. It was quite clean inside and the staff did a nice job keeping up with things during the morning rush. I decided to try the Frittata Rustica, with ham added to it (& without any dairy) and it was pretty yummy! Roasted tomatoes are always so dang delicious, and they were definitely my favorite part of the frittata. I don't eat gluten, so I asked to substitute the bread for a side of potatoes, and I'm really glad they were able to do that for no extra charge. It was the tiniest portions of potatoes I've ever had BUT I was still grateful that they were able to make that adjustment for me! I wasn't a fan of the dressing for the greens and it just tasted a lot like mayonnaise for some reason. Service was pretty good, except the waitress accidentally forgot to put in the juice I had ordered. It worked out just fine because I ended up being perfectly full by the end of this meal, and the juice would have been too much. Our waitress was very kind and offered to bring me the juice at no charge. I'll certainly be back sometime and I really recommend trying First Watch if you have not done so already! I think it's a great place to go if you're looking for expand your taste pallet to some healthy, yet delicious foods.

We enjoyed our experience here. I'd been to a First Watch in another state so I knew what to expect. It was my husband's first time visiting and he thought it was the best food we had while in Pittsburgh. I got the honey caramel crunch iced coffee and it was perfect - very sugary with a touch of coffee haha. I also ordered an omelette with a side of the million dollar bacon and it was delicious! My husband got an eggs Benedict (I think) with a side pancake and he enjoyed both. The pancake was just sweet enough to satisfy that craving and it was very fluffy and HUGE. Our son got the kids grilled cheese and he demolished it so I guess he approved! The service was great, we were offered refills, checked on several times and got food recommendations from our waiter. The place has a lot of tables packed in there. We did feel like we got a few stares from time to time being so close to others, but it was okay. The front where you pay is also kind of small and awkward as it quickly gets full in the front and it's a bit difficult to maneuver around people waiting to be seated. The price is slightly higher than it could be, but the quality of the food is worth it.

Another delicious breakfast from First Watch! I only wish there was a location closer to me. The food was fresh and delicious. The coffee was hot and had a nice flavor. The service was pretty good, they were very busy. The building was packed. The restaurant had a very long wait this time, over 50 minutes.

Got seated pretty quickly for a party of 5 on a Sunday! Good portion for the price. Food was hot and fresh!

Stopped at a First Watch for the first time today and......WOW. The food was just amazing!! The best breakfast I've ever had and I'm 54 so that's a lot of breakfasts!! I had the eggs benny florentine and it was sooooo freaking good. My wife had the multigrain pancake and sausage and she's never had a pancake that good!! Keep up the good work!! The service was also exemplary!!!

Big bug with wings found in my food. Pretty sure it was in the 'million dollar potatoes' I got because I didn't see it until I dumped those out. Just really disgusted I was eating food with a dead bug in it. Food was good, they just need to work on their sanitary issues clearly.

Shrimp & Grits

This was my first experience with First Watch. They had a special summer menu, and I chose shrimp and grits, and kale tonic from it. I was impressed that they make their own juice with fresh ingredients. My kale tonic was yummy. The shrimp and grits were also quite good with plenty of butter and Cajun seasoning. We came in a small group, and they accommodated us well with an extra chair at a booth. Service was friendly and prompt. They had an extensive menu, and everything looked so good. I will definitely be back for more!

Have been going here a few times now and the food is consistently above average. The wait staff is kind and quick. When it is busy, it can feel very loud and crowded but it's worth a try.

What a wonderful little place to eat! Just saw it today and ate there. Since it was our first visit they gave me free million dollar bacon! What a way to wow me!! Our hostess and server were both so nice and friendly!! i ordered the million dollar potatoes. they were good but could have been better if they werent burnt.. but the waitress assured me it was because we were there late and potatoes scorched staying warm. they dont use microwaves. the tomato soup was excellent. husband had Monterey sandwich. so much turkey!! he brought half home!! i never get decaf coffee out but our server said it is made separate from regular coffee. it was soooo good! i cannot wait to return!! 0Planning for lunch on my birthday!!

First watch is a classic. I enjoy my visit there each time. The staff is friendly and the app to check in makes arrival a breeze. The ambience full of every. This time I tried an egg white omelet and it was flavorful with a side of fruit, we split the candied bacon which was fantastic.

My husband was so happy to have grits this far north! Gf toast delicious!

First rate at First Watch! So glad to see a number of locations as we have them back home and know the product, good food with friendly service in an open and airy atmosphere. Grateful for the gluten free options that give plentiful choices and accommodations! Thanks for the consistency location to location !

It's a smash burger so if you're hungry, maybe get a double the onions that come with it are grilled, which was a nice surprise and the sauce they put on the burger was really good. The hotdog had a nice snap to it which I don't care either way, but I know some people are big on that the chili had no beans which is the only way to have it when it comes to a hotdog or french fries and it's made by the local restaurant up the street brothMonger. Everything is made fresh to order even the fries. And the chocolate milkshake was made with actual chocolate ice cream same with vanilla and strawberry. I'll definitely be back to try the onion rings because they looked delicious and served with ranch from a local spot.

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).
