The staff asked many times if everything was okay...many of us hate to complain. The bacon was awful--over cooked and undercooked. I ordered the sourdough toast. It came with 2 pieces...drowned in butter. My friend got one piece of multigrain, which I would rather have had. He asked for a second one (cause I got 2) and they charged $2.50, as a side. My wife and I are normally at First Watch on a weekly basis and the Traditional Breakfast has always been hot. Not today. Bread was cold ( didn't melt the butter ) as well as the bacon. What can I say about First Watch. Teagan and Hanna are the two best servers we have had. They both are super friendly and personable. Teagan has taken care of us for years. As well as Hanna. They have almost become part of our family. They ask our children how they are doing. They remember their birthdays. It is so nice to have this kind of service. Went on a Sunday afternoon, it was packed! Luckily there was a short 10 minute wait for a table of 5. Ordered an ice coffee and BLT eggs benedict. The eggs benedict came topped with arugula, bacon, and tomatoes. It had a pretty strong lemon after taste but was very refreshing for a hot summer day. The entree also came with a side of potatoes and spicy ketchup. The atmosphere was family friendly. They had coloring sheets for kids and a wide menu selection for 6.99. We have been to this location a few times in the recent months...even as late as today. We are seeing recurring problems and will not be back. They're slow to seat people when they're not that busy, and even slower to take orders and receive them. We consistently see the dining area acrosd from the host stand full of dirty tables, chairs and food all over the floor. They don't have the host stand manned properly either. Today we were sat at a dirty table again Today's food made my husband ill and I don't believe I even got a full portion and had to request additional food. We don't experience this at their other locations and enjoy the food and experience greatly. CORPORATE...get your eyes on this store ASAP...you've got serious issues over there. read more

One of the best brunch places I've been to. I love breakfast food, so it's not that easy to impress me. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the menu is pretty big and can accommodate different food preferences. Went in super excited for breakfast today. Was greeted by a nice gentleman and sat, but decided we wanted to sit somewhere else so I went up to the hostess and asked if we could move. With no response to me, she proceeds to turn to her colleague and roll her eyes. Thankfully her colleague was very nice and helpful. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I would be embarrassed to have hired someone with so much attitude, no costumer service experience, or human decency. Being that a hostess is the first person you're met with in your dining experience, she is a horrible contender. First Watch is one of our favorite restaurants to dine at when we are visiting family in the area. For breakfast, brunch or lunch, it has never disappointed. We ordered pick up today for lunch because of work calls we had to be on. Ordered: ** Kids Chocolate Chip Pancakes with Bacon: We requested just regular pancakes - the kid doesn't need all that sugar. Lucky for us, she did not know she had an option. For her side, she chose bacon over sausage. The pancakes are pretty large and I was shocked my 5 year old polished off the entire thing. If I were to order this again for her, I would've asked them to put the butter on the side instead of letting it melt on top. Although, I'm pretty sure all melted butter was what made her eat her meal in its entirety. Additionally, I would've ordered a side of fruit with it. Otherwise, the pancake and meal was a huge hit. ** Monterey Club (Turkey, bacon, avocado, organic mixed greens, tomato and Monterey Jack). The hubby ordered this without mayo and it came with a small side salad. Said all the ingredients were so tasty and especially loved the sourdough bread it was made on. He really loved it and said he would order his again. **Chicken Cobb - This was my meal and while a chicken cobb is pretty predictable. What I LOVED about this salad was how consistent everything was cut. Everything was the same size so eating this was so enjoyable and effortless. Most of the time when you order a salad, you're left cutting through all the ingredients of your salad, which IMO, should just be ready to eat. A steak, you expect to cut through...a salad....that's just wrong. So, I appreciated the effort of everything being diced just perfectly and bite sized. ** Kale tonic juice - Kale, Fuji apple, cucumber and lemon - I don't think I've ever dined here without ordering their kale juice. It's just so refreshing. It is on the sweeter side with the apple added so if you're used to those very green leafy type of Kale juices, you'll probably be disappointed. I typically make mine less sweet and like ginger in mine but this is a really nice treat when I can't make my own at home. Even though we chose take out on this visit, I have to say, this Californian was envious of all the patrons who were allowed to safely eat INDOORS! In case you're wondering, the tables inside are spaced at a minimum of 6 feet apart, some more -- and everyone working there was wearing a mask. I got a kick out of the sign out front. This particular First Watch was very dissapointing. We usually go to the one on Happy Valley and have never been disappointed. Our server Masacoy was amazing and very attentive and kept our drinks filled at all times. When our meal came out my scrambled eggs were ice cold as well as my bacon which was also burnt and broken in pieces like from the bottom of the pan scrapings. Masacoy promptly reordered my eggs and bacon which took 15 minutes to come back out. Eggs were hot and fluffy however, bacon was once again burnt and cold. Plus we were charged for a substandard meal. Very unfortunate that this First Watch didn't meet the same standards as the Happy Valley location. We'll never stray again. read more

The menu is still tough for me to find something to order, but it turns out that the Steel Cut Oatmeal with fresh fruit, brown sugar and honey was very good. With this $8 meal, they also include a freshly baked in-store (I asked) muffin and the blueberry version was quite tasty. 1 is too high. Ordered from here Uber eats. They did not pack over half the order and what was sent was not edible and it looked like they didn't care. Portion of chicken and walnut barely filled bottom of the small container. Called the location to let them know that they omitted over half the order and the person that answered was rude and said I could drive over to get the food they failed to package up. Honestly if I could Pick up food myself would not order Uber eats. This place us a total fail. Small portion they sent of salad was not edible. A 1 is overstated for this place. I have lived here for 2.5 years and just came to this spot for the first time a month or so ago. I own the donut shop across the street so I usually don't have a need for breakfast. i love this place and the food is really good but i came today around 9:30 Angie took our order runner came with our food we ran out of water she didn't even come check on us once literally had to flag her down just to get WATER and when she came to drop it off she didn't even look at us i've been a server before i know how stressful it can get when it's busy but to not even look at us and not check on us not even once is crazy especially because at the 2 other tables right next to us (assuming that was her section which was only three tables) she was laughing with them and checking on them a lot.... not sure if she treated us differently because we are young and usually in my experience younger people don't tip as well but me and my friends are very good tippers(we probably tip much more than we should sometimes lol) not this time tho! $1 tip each do better! read more

I've written a review for First watch many times and the reviews continually are worth five stars for quality of food, service and dining experience and this time was no different except this experience was amid Covid. The food and service were superior. The dining room was set to our current day standard with social distancing. All distancing and mask protocols were being followed. Our server was awesome. I ordered the Skillet Hash Parma which has become a favorite of mine. I will continue to come to First watch because the food is just that good. read more
