The service here is consistently great, especially from Alysha. Bree was our server today, and she was great. I got the $13.50 All-Star Special with scrambled eggs (do yourself a favor and get cheese in those for an extra $1), crispy hash browns, raisin toast, two chicken sausage patties (no extra charge for this!) and a chocolate waffle. Everything came out hot and fresh, and they even held the waffle until the end when I was ready for it. Today was a slower day, so the employees were busy cleaning tables and floors and restocking condiment bottles. The seating inside is classic diner seating, and there's ample parking outside. This location tends to blast their air conditioning, so bring a sweater if you get cold easily. read more

The Arizona experience After a long night we swung by here to grab breakfast and this, this was the Arizona experience. Food isn't mind blowing but for Less than $14; - 2 eggs - pancake - sausage - hash brown That's a good deal. And staff are super welcoming! The service was efficient and friendly. The place is bright and clean but seats are very uncomfortable. We had breakfast of eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. The bacon was over cooked and flavorless, toast was dry and cheap bread with no flavor, eggs were cooked nicely and hash browns were overcooked. Overall, not impressed so doubt I'll come back. read more

I went to college in TN so the Waffle House holds a lot of nostalgia for me. My closest friend and I started meeting for a monthly breakfast at this location several months ago, and we thoroughly and completely enjoy every visit. I look forward to it! The restaurant is always clean, the food is delicious, the coffee is strong, and the service is always so friendly and attentive. I have never had a bad experience. And the prices are extremely fair too. I always order a sausage hash brown bowl with extra cheese and my friend and I share a waffle. I love having this monthly meeting with a great friend and great food to look forward to on an ongoing basis! read more

First, understaffed. 5 people waiting on a bench but no "restaurant list" to keep things organized. After 10 minutes and no one being called we left. Not their fault but rain damaged ceilings knocked out two tables Water bucket collecting rain on the breakfast counter. Waitress at cash register seemed very indifferent to no list. I haven't been to a waffle house since I was 21. I'll just say I had a bad experience back then and felt the food was too greasy at the time so was I hesitant about eating here during a recent trip to phoenix? Yes. But was I starving and looking for sustenance? Absolutely! I was greeted with smiles and seated immediately here. I ordered a grits and sausage breakfast bowl that was devoured swiftly (I'm always starving after my flights) and I really enjoyed it. There's truly nothing better than having breakfast freshly made and delivered steaming hot to you with a smile. I see why america loves the waffle house and can now say I trust them to fulfill my immediate hunger needs. read more

It had been forever since my last visit to a Waffle House. I was brought back in time to something good and definitely adequate for a breakfast joint. Firm and moderately dense waffles, plenty of coffee. Hash browns that were brown. Eggs exactly the way I asked. Robyn, my server, attentive and polite and funny to a degree. I will need to add WH back to my places to go list. I forgot how comfortable they are. read more

Very unsettling experience tonight. Employees acted like it was an anything goes environment with little regard for basic standards of behavior and service. The majority of my meal there was loud irritating rap blaring from an employee cell phone. Employees were openly consuming open beverages in cooking area. Loud discussion of stripper industry and drug dealing by waitress for entire meal was the only thing I heard for a good twenty minutes. I was never asked if I needed anything, including a refill. **Permission was given to bring dog in, that I was forced to be extremely close to as I was leaving cramped entry area, and it was a very substantial pit bull.** As I exited guy was smoking right into front door, impossible to avoid and I am allergic to it. Lot of liability being taken on my WH at this location, and I have zero desire to go back. I've gone to Waffle Houses my entire life and tonight was a shameful nightmare of an experience. 20 dollars for a sandwich drink and hashbrowns is bad enough. Paying for it under beyond unacceptable conditions - disgusting. read more

This Waffle House delivers exactly what we're missing about Waffle House back east. Folks are friendly, fast, and the food is inconsistent. You don't come here for a fancy breakfast scene with plush booths, etc. This is the perfect spot for an affordable breakfast delivered rapidly. They have raised prices recently, but we're still able to split an all star special no problem. read more

Seems like I've been going to the Waffle House my whole life. My biggest memory is spending all nighters studying and listening to all the conversations and meeting extremely interesting people. That being said, I love those hash browns. I also love the scrambled eggs with cheese and hamburgers with the mayonnaise. Staffing this place are really cool and don't believe any of the media about it's a bad area under that crap because it's all good and friendly. Just remember get those hash browns I like them scattered and cats with mushrooms but they're also other varieties. I always consider the comma for chocolate chip off of my dessert because they make the best waffles. read more

Ok, so I've never eaten at a Waffle House in all my years living in AZ. I tried it today. Had the basic eggs, bacon and waffle. It was ok. Prices were high for something basic. This isn't anything fancy so I didn't expect that. Now I can say I ate here. The joint was clean. Almost seem like a spot for truckers and those staying at the nearby hotel to grab bite to eat since it's off the freeway. read more

Don't go with so much expectations and definitely don't go by name. They do have some variations of waffles but not like ever ending menu. American diner which opens 24*7 so you can hop in anytime. We went late night for dinner. I liked their mushroom stuffed hashbrowns. Not so fond of sweets but walnut effect to waffles was good. Small and less fancy than Denny's. read more

I have been to a a few waffle houses I've actually had experiences with waitresses being rude at most of them but this waffle house the waitress (Jo) was so sweet and literally the best waitress I have ever encountered she helped us with every need and gave me more then I thought I needed for my food now I know that honey is good on waffles lol thank you joe the other lady was very sweet and the cook was a sweet guy clean restaurant food was good read more

Delicious food! Not much room inside. It's like a small diner. They have booths for 2 people and they have a couple of booths that fit for 4 people. Every time I come to Phoenix to visit family. I make sure we stop and eat at a Waffle House. We absolutely love their food. The service is fast and the place is small and quaint. We are a family of five, so their tables are a tad small for all of our plates. This doesn't stop us from enjoying some fantastic food. The kitchen is fast and brings our food out to us fast. We will continue our tradition of coming to a Waffle House each time we come here to visit family. read more

I was the only customer. Waitress was great, but, the fat cook was rude and did not honor my military discount. My patty melt was rancid and tasted like the meat was spoiled. Hash browns were burnt. As a former employee and customer from GA for over 36 years and a combat veteran, this Arizona Waffle House is horrible! read more

COVID IMPACTED - I've been eating at Waffle House literally my entire life. This is the first time I have ever been made to wait for a table, even with more than half of the tables completely empty. The staff seemed very overwhelmed. There was a line cook, a manager cooking, and 4 servers. The staff seemed rude, which was a total let down. We ordered using their new limited menu, which stated that they are understaffed. I ordered a chicken melt with double hash browns scattered, smothered and covered cooked well. What I received was a hamburger patty melt with a chicken breast added. I also got hash browns scattered. When I shared that with the server, she simply said, "I'll take a dollar off"??? My wife's order was incorrect, as well but she chose to not say a word. It dawned on us that our server most likely didn't get it incorrect. As a token of our gratitude, we tipped her 100% of the bill. We were grateful to have been able to taste a little bit of "Georgia home" living out west. I hope this restaurant gets their kinks worked out. We LOVE Waffle House! Love their sweet tea, which is hard to find out West! read more

Good old Waffle House. This place is a favorite of mine from when I lived in Colorado! I was excited to see it in AZ. The all star special is great. You get a waffle and a full breakfast for $9. Went there ordered 4 all Stars and pecan waffles spent $60 and the food was horrible waffles tasted like rubber, the pecan waffles were worse, the scrambled eggs had zero taste hash browns tasted watery like thawed almost . I came To visit my son from California expecting a great breakfast together and it was awful! Should of went to Denny's next door. read more

We had breakfast this morning at Waffle House #1345 and I can honestly say this was the best WH breakfast we have ever had the pleasure to eat. The server, QB was very professional and on top of everything. The cook, Sierra was also very professional and well trained. As I watched her cook our breakfast you could tell she took great pride in her food and plate presentation. I am very picky about my eggs, over hard with no jelly appearance in the yolk and my eggs were cooked to perfection, one of maybe five times in my adult life this has happened. Our breakfast was fresh and very tasty. The restsurant itself was very clean. The cook and waitress were clearly popular as they had many regulars come in and greet them warmly and they already knew their orders. I honestly never thought I would ever leave this kind of a review for WH and I am very happy to do so. I give this store and crew five stars! read more

We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. We ordered Flordian French Toast and Elote Breakfast Burrito (plus a couple sides and drink) which were both really good, and filling. Prices weren't too bad for what we ordered and was able to take our mind off of the rather long wait to get helped. I placed our orders at the counter, found my favorite (not so common) energy drink and enjoyed the clean and pleasant surroundings while we waited. The Carne Asada fries were perfect! The staff was friendly throughout our stay, and the overall property has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy the sunshine and scenery. We booked an upgraded suite with a separate bedroom and TV room, which gave us plenty of space to spread out. While the layout was great, the room itself could use some updates. The bathroom fixtures were older--the Kohler toilet didn't flush well and was a bit noisy, and the tub/shower combo had rounded sides that made it tricky to stand comfortably. The shower water also never got fully hot. The room had a slightly musty smell, and the carpets would benefit from a deep cleaning. The balcony screen door didn't close tightly, which let a few flies in, and access to the second floor required two sets of stairs since there's no elevator in that section. Even with those issues, the resort's location, views, and overall vibe made the stay enjoyable. With some room refreshes and a bit more maintenance attention, this could easily be a standout property. The setting alone is worth experiencing.

I found a great AAdvantage Hotel deal at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort and booked it. While it was a great success of a visit in terms of AAdvantage miles and loyalty points, my actual experience at the hotel itself was less to be desired due to the customer service and a big snafu on their part. I also have Hilton Gold status, though as I booked the hotel through a third party site (AAdvantage Hotels), I could see the stay and the stay history in my Hilton app, but I did not receive any benefits for staying there, which was fine as I didn't expect any anyone. I arrived in person to check in and already reserved and prepaid for a King 1 Bedroom Standard Suite, which had a nice view and reasonably spacious room (but not too much larger than a regular room at another hotel). The room was certainly not upgraded though there was parking available right in front of the entrance. I did not receive anything else at check-in nor did it appear that I'd get my regularly complimentary water. I did pay the daily resort charge which includes high speed internet access, access to the Falls Water Village, an hour at the tennis/pickleball court, an hour at the afternoon golf practice facility, two hours for a mountain bike rental, 20% off seasonal spa services, and 15% off select golf apparel. While I didn't use it, I had easy view and access to the Falls Water Village where you could lounge and play all day on their sun-marked terrace where you could find free-form pools, hot tubs, and cabanas. They even have a 138-foot enclosed water slide. When I checked out, I was told that a bill would be sent to me shortly since I did it on the app early, and when I received the bill, there was a charge for my room at the restaurant at the top of the hill called A Different Point of View. The catch is that I never went to eat there during my stay (or at any onsite restaurant since I live in the area and had my meals offsite). I reached out to the hotel who insisted that I did go there to eat. I promised them I didn't eat anywhere onsite and that they need to look at the receipt and see if it actually has my room number. They confirmed it did and that this meant I ate there. I told them to find my name on it and let me know if it was on there. After several more back and forth conversations, they confirmed it wasn't me and would remove the charge. They then mistakenly charged me double. Then they removed one charge, but it took more than a week before they removed the other charge. By the end of the exchanges, it felt like they were blaming me for their own mistake. While the resort is aged and rather pleasant, there certainly are training issues regarding the customer service offered at this property. I do not plan on staying here again in the future.

On the plus side, they have enough aerobic equipment to satisfy all. Their weight rack is missing quite a few weights. I do remember a manager at another Courtyard property telling me that guests steal the dumbbells. Nice/not! Overall, a good experience at this property.
