I went here for breakfast with a friend. It took a few minutes to be greeted but once we were, the hostess was nice. The inside appeared to be clean. The waiter was nice but we didn't see him much. I got the traditional breakfast with chicken sausage patties, eggs, potatoes, and toast. I also got the toffee crunch iced coffee. The food was good but the potatoes were slightly undercooked and the chicken sausage seemed like a frozen patty with a weird texture. I thought they made the sausage in-house. My friend got the watermelon pineapple drink and said it was good. She also got the turkey sausage biscuits and gravy which she enjoyed. I will note that they emphasize that a lot of the juices are fresh but when I asked if I could get the Watermelon drink without pineapple because I allergic, I was told no because they make the juice in big batches. I know it's a chain, but this is consistently a great place for breakfast. They also have lunch things for anyone in your party who's not down for breakfast food, so it works well for our family in that brunch timeframe! Food feels fresher than places like IHOP or Denny's, with higher quality ingredients. They have some really cool smoothies and mocktails, too. This particular location has excellent staff - they are kind and attentive, know about the menu items, and are just dang pleasant people. Good vibes all around. In the fall, they have a pumpkin pancake on their menu for maybe a month. I love arugula and the extra toss in lemon sauce added a nice zest to the heavier hollandaise sauce. The egg yolk was runny. Bacon and tomatoes were solid. They are served on chabbatta bread instead of English muffin. The eggs are always poached perfectly and nestled on top of crispy bacon, tomato, and avocado. We're so impressed with the way every employee goes above and beyond...paying attention to details and their customers. From the moment we arrived outside, a nice young man named August, opened the door politely. We were then greeted with exceptionally kind smiles and genuine friendliness from the hostess, Lisa and a tall beautiful girl who walked us to our table. We ordered a custom omelette and the egg sandwich which was fantastic! Our server, Gracie, was so sweet... when we asked for take-away containers she offered cups for our coffee too. She was very attentive and we love when the water and coffee carafes are left on the table while we're eating so our coffee never gets cold. As I was eating, I noticed two little aphids in my salad which isn't a big deal, only really means that the salad is truly organic without any pesticides. We were seated immediately at a large booth. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us often. The Million Dollar Bacon was my favorite item with a tasty maple and brown sugar glaze. The Kale Tonic Fresh Juice was a refreshing way to get some vegetables. The Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash was tasty and filling. Finally got a chance to go in and check it out and I have to say we were highly disappointed- went in for breakfast and not only was the table wobbly when you tried to put your arms on it but we didn't care for the omelettes we got. You cut into it and everything just fell out of it. I think they could've made them better for the price. They have everything on the menu accept desserts - what restaurant doesn't have dessert! But they have alcoholic drinks. Kind of strange but it is what it is. I know after a good lunch or non-breakfast meal I want dessert. My friend ordered the Bracado omelet, and I ordered The Works omelet. Both with potatoes and toast. Food arrived, the potatoes and toast had a great flavor but was cold. Both omelets were also cold and a bit on the rubbery side, indicating they had possibly been cooked to far in advance and just being held under a warming lamp. The cheese inside both omelets was hard. Really impressed this morning! We are exploring the area, and stumbled upon this restaurant with an outdoor patio, and we are glad we stopped! The avocado toast is outstanding! This review is mixed because: 1) I used to eat at First Watch regularly in okc and thought it was great. So 4 to 5 stars for food, prices and service. Which prompted me to buy a $100 gift card, which leads to the 2nd part of my review. 2) I wasn't able to eat out for awhile and when I could, found that my local restaurant had closed. No notice or anything. The nearest one is over 2 hours away, so my gift card is no longer usable for me. Requested a refund but was told I needed a receipt. Which is long gone. I gave them my card's info and they still refused. So beware of buying gift cards from them. read more
