The place was pretty busy actually! But our server was quick and responsive. The interior was nice as well - decorated like a traditional diner. The food was pretty good. I got the turkey club wrap. It was a lot of bacon and felt a bit unhealthy. But darn it tasted good :) I also upgraded to the onion rings on the side - which were pretty delicious. The thing to get here are the shakes. They're made with real ice cream and taste really good. Overall, pretty good for a local diner. I'd come back here happily

There is plenty of it however this may be a problem for less abled body persons. Most of the folks that come here during the week have been coming for years and years so are not as young as they used to be. Not really anywhere to drop them off. When I came in there was no one at the front entrance so I proceeded to the please seat me sign. I literally stood there longer than it took my food to come out. There were maybe 10 tables. Still work to be done here. Smaller than the old location with tables and booths all within view as you stand there. I was ready to order by the time the server made it to my table to take my drink order and I'm one to waffle over my orde for a bit. Friendly server and efficient once she got started. Got pancakes sausage eggs n potatoes. All came hot and tasty. And you know what? When i put the butter on top it actually melted. Yum. They bring the credit card machine to your table and the server does it all leading to that uncomfortable moment of do you want to leave a tip? 3.0 overall but 5 for service…read more The Bedford Diner in Temperance (not to be confused with the Bedford Coney Island in Lambertville) is a diner I hadn't been to in a very long while. Decided to check it out in the hope of having a meal and getting some work done around 3pm. As I was walking in, I noted the posted hours and they were closing at 4pm. Oh well. As I entered the restaurant, the server was sweeping the floor. She showed me to a table. I was the only customer. I tried to ignore a slight musty smell-as if tables had been wiped down with a musty rag, to give you an idea. The server, Crystal, couldn't have been nicer. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and she brought the iced tea in one glass and lemonade in another so I could mix it up to suit my taste. Nice! I ordered a Turkey Reuben with dressing on the side. It came with an order of fries, and Crystal promptly brought ketchup to the table without being asked. I had pulled out a file to review but my food came out in no time. Everything was exactly as ordered. The sandwich was decent and the thousand island dressing tasted homemade. The fries were good. Everything was solid but the food just wasn't amazing. However, it was a good value at a total of $12-something. The cash price was a bit lower than if paying by credit card. While I had hoped to get some work done, I felt distracted because the restaurant was clearly getting ready to close. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Just packed up my laptop and left. Would I return? Maybe. It just wasn't the leisurely meal I had anticipated given my arrival so close to closing and there was nothing that would make me want to rush back. I'd recommend checking it out for great service and their specials (e.g., all you can eat fish for Lent).

We were greeted warmly upon arrival and although ordering is typically done electronically the staff member assured us he was available to answer any questions. The e-ordering process is very easy and has options for customization which is a perk. The food is all prepared to order and came out nicely plated and at the correct temperature. My dining companions very much enjoyed their pancakes, eggs, and hashbrowns. I ordered the tropical acai bowl which was topped with a good amount of a variety of fruit. I do wish the acai base was a little thicker; the texture was more smoothie than sorbet but the flavor was lovely.
