I had the Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash. It was so good! It reminded me of the elote I used to get in Mexico but with chorizo and potatoes. The corn tortillas with it seemed homemade and very fresh. Love, love, love this place! Every time we visit, busy or not, the staff are always welcoming. The restaurant itself is very open with a homey vibe. Sort of a garden to table feel. Their menu is both traditional & a little experimental, something for everyone. The handcrafted juices are EVERYTHING! They also have zero added sugars, but definitely don't taste it. Our waitresses have given us a small sample of each to help us make an informed decision. My favorite has to be the Morning Meditation. Orange, lemon, turmeric, ginger, agave nectar & beet... so good! The organic ginger gives this drink a much appreciated kick. If the Chicken Chimichurri Hash is still available, jump on it! Eggs on top of seasoned potatoes mixed with an addictive chimichurri sauce, tender chicken breast, monterrey jack, roasted onions & kale. *snaps fingers* are you still with me? My g/f is an eggs benedict-a-holic & this place does little to hinder her addiction. The poached eggs are always perfectly runny (too bad I'm not a yolk fan). After an hour at our table, not everyone received their meal. Ordered Million Dollar bacon right off and never received it. After 30 minutes we asked and the waitress said it would be another 15 minutes. The waitress didn't check on us. Every meal was brought out individually. I came here with some hungry friends, and this place really deserves the 5 star rating! First Watch's staff and management is very friendly and professional. Everything was well organized, restaurant was clean, food was tasty, and the service was perfect. Our first course was their avocado toast which tasted very fresh and the egg was cooked perfectly so that the yolk made a sauce to spread around on the toast, and they paired it with their freshly squeezed kale tonic juice. Second course was their pesto chicken quinoa bowl. My only complaint with this was that the portion wasn't bigger because I definitely wanted more! The pesto sauce is really what makes this dish a hit. They served this second course with their morning meditation juice, which was my favorite juice because of how nice it looks without being overly sweet. The third course was the chickichanga which had good flavor, but it was the potatoes they served with it that I liked the most. The potatoes were very well seasoned which made them addicting. Fourth course was the roast beef and horseradish havarti cheese sandwhich served with their acai squeeze juice. This was my favorite dish that we were served! The horseradish spread/aioli that they serve it with has a kick that I love, and the acai squeeze juice was the perfect way to wash it all down. Lastly was the "dessert" course of their banana granola crunch pancakes served with bacon on the side. The pancakes were fluffy, granola provided texture, bananas had good flavor, bacon was crispy, and the syrup was served on the side piping hot. First time eating here. Overall a pleasant meal and experience. The place was busy and we had about a 15 minute wait before our food was served... not bad. I had the salmon frittata with a side of pork sausages. Spouse had the Trifecta (Belgian waffle, cage free eggs, bacon) and a side of grits. We would absolutely come back. I love breakfast and the food quality was superb. My only complaint: out waiter (who was extremely polite and attentive) was a little scatter-brained. I had to remind him to bring half & half for my coffee (they only had flavored cream on the table) and he never brought my to go cup for my coffee before we left. However, like I said he was very attentive by stopping by our table frequently to ask how we were doing. I think perhaps he had too many tables going at the same time. So thank you to Ashley for providing the gift card. We went today and tried it out again. Unfortunately they couldn't get my order correct. It was a simple request for dressing on the side. They took my dish back and in a few minutes they brought me back the same dish. I eat out often and usually don't get upset but the staff is unprofessional. I would have to give them about a year to get their act together before I would come back. The staff doesn't seem to care. My server would not come back to my table to give us the check or to check on us. I can only assume it was out of fear that she returned the same dish to me. I got there about 1:45 on a Sunday. No wait, however I heard they had some wait issues earlier in the day. I was seated immediately, and didn't have to wait long before my order was taken, and then I had several issues. (1) My waitress, never stopped by to check on me after taking my order, only to deliver the check. Not even to check on my drink. (2) I ordered the salmon with roasted veggie frittata. It was good, however there were not any roasted veggies in it - only big chunks of raw tomatoes and some caramelized onions (still not roasted). I haven't mentioned yet, I don't like tomatoes. I was expecting the roasted veggies (pleural). Other than the salmon, it tasted pretty bland. The salad that came with the meal was excellent. (3) The ciabatta toast with the herbed spread, not so much - no herbs in the spread. It was flavorless. Herbed spread says explosion in my mouth. All in all, the meal was mediocre, but that's it. The worst experience!! It's a ver cute place but the most horrible service ever! We went Sunday for our first time. We placed our order and after 50-60 min the waitress came and told us we need to wait around 20-30 min more to get our food (4 adult entrees and 1 kid) since we were really hungry we waited 30 min and after that the waitress came again and told us that the kitchen was really behind and that the manager move us to the first place of the list but that we need to wait another 15-20 min.. really? 2 hours to have brunch? So I've had a hit or miss relationship with this chain. But when they miss the miss is BIG! I have been to three different locations and this one by far is the WORST of all! Here is my experience: Since I'm a fan of the menu, I suggested my coworkers and I go for breakfast even though I had heard that the service wasn't the best here. We had 2 hours to burn from 730 to 930 so figured even if they're slow it would be okay. BOY WAS I WRONG! The 3 of us arrive about 745 am. There are maybe 3 tables and it was freezing. The only person we saw was a friendly waitress. She greeted and seated us promptly addressed our temp concerns when she saw our discomfort. We sat for about 15 minutes before she took our order (couple more tables had arrived). About 45 minutes later we get our food but I was okay we dont need to be back till 930 and we were chatting so no biggie. So as we eat and talk we realize something wasn't right. My order was wrong. Not the first time I've had it happen (btw in my years of dining out First Watch has the record for making me send food back) I was going just keep eating and not say anything (I was hungry). At my coworker's insistence I did. She pulled up a pic off the website and called waitress over. So back went my plate. I chalked it up to a simple misunderstanding. I had asked for potatoes instead of greens (greens are served as a side with many of thier plates) so the waitress told the kitchen I didnt want any veggies in my rustica fritta (witch is chalk full of veggies) So what I ended up with was a cheese frittata with a side of potatoes. Not even a mushroom. While I sat waiting watching the ladies eat, my other coworker kept saying there was something "not right" with her's. After consulting online menu she realized her order was completely wrong although she had not asked for any substitutions. So we wait and wait for my food like 15 minutes nobody is around. So my first coworker (her food was spot on) finally gets up goes to kitchen and gets our waitress. By this time it had been over an hour since we first placed our order and our 2 hours were ticking by and only 1 order was correct. Since we only had 45 left of our 2 hour breakfast we decided that we were going cut our losses and go. We had also ordered 2 plates for other coworkers to take back with us that we were waiting on as well. So we tell her that we just want the erroneous food just be taken off ticket. She apologized and told us it was her first day (sweet girl) and said she talk to her manager. So after about 15 minutes she comes back and apologizes for the delay that he is busy with delivery truck. She brings our to go orders and asks if we needed to split the check. I immediately said "no thank you" (she has yet to proven any competence bless her). Finally get the corrected check few minutes later. So after 1 hour 45 minutes 2 of our party of 3 got to actually eat. Did we ever see the manager we did right before we left. But first you have to go pay. So we go to pay and of it comes up to 70 dollars even though ticket clearly says 34 dollars. By this time we weren't even surprised, sadly. So after a few more minutes the cashier figured it out and they's the manager sitting at a table just drinking his coffee and chatting away. Never once did he check on us our offer any support to our poor little waitress. Then they were "bye thanks for coming in and come back soon" if we didn't have to back at work.... so we all just looked at them and said "unlikely" and walked out the door. So in conclusion the person managing the location makes all the difference. The manager at the bunker hill restaurant is very involved with his customers and clearly trains his employees well. So I will be going back to First Watch but never again to the pearland parkway location. So if you choose to eat here pack your patience and make sure you have lots of time to kill and beware even that doesn't guarantee any thing here. read more

Chickichanga (6/10): A healthier version of a deep fried chimichanga. One big tortilla glazed with egg yolk so once the eggs are cooked, the entree looks like an omelette. Inside are thinly sliced semi spicy white meat chicken, chorizo, green chillies, cheese, onions and avocado. Topped with a green sauce and sour cream. The flavors were all there and doesn't taste heavy. Although, my chicken pieces were not distributed evenly when I sliced the entree in half. The side cubed potatoes were very lightly seasoned. To add a kick to it, I glazed it with hot sauce on the table. Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash (4/10): Seasonal item. You would think this entree would be stuffed with corn but NOPE. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. Mixed in with their any style eggs are chorizo, sliced avocado, and cotija cheese with drizzles of chipotle cream on top. This is like a deconstructed egg omelette overfilled with potatoes. I wouldn't recommend it. Customer service is great. Busy place on the weekends and during holidays like July 4th. I was excited to try this new place, but it was just average. The food is really expensive for what you're getting. The food is as good as a Denny's but much more expensive. We got the Belgian waffle, very disappointed in this. You're paying $9 for just a waffle. Doesn't come w fresh fruit(you could get fresh fruit for an extra $5) or any sides(sides are extra). Honestly, the waffles you get at a hotel breakfast is just as good as this one, nothing special about this waffle. The crab omelette was alright. Bacon was delish. It wasn't overpowered by the kale but you can taste hints of it. The morning meditation is a little sweeter if kale isn't your thing. I'm not a huge breakfast person so opted for the roast beef and havarti sandwich with mixed greens. The parmesan crusted sour dough was a nice touch. You get a little crunch in every bite. I also liked how they don't skimp on the roast beef. The millionaire bacon is pretty tasty. I was scared it would be overly sweet but it wasn't. My only con was the wait to get the food was pretty long. I get it, its super packed for a Sunday so a wait is expected. My friend asked for over easy eggs and they came out with no runny yolk at all so that was sent back. The waitress kindly came back with replacements. I checked in (via Yelp) and I was told the wait would be a 15-20 wait. So far I've been waiting 30 minutes. As I'm waiting a gentleman walks up to the hostess requesting a new fork......not a good sign! So we were finally seated and our waiter is a nice guy so far. His name was Justin and he is thee bomb.com. The silverware and glasses were stained. So far it seems like they can't keep up with the demand. 1st thing we ordered was the MILLION DOLLAR BACON..... only to be told that their over was broken and it could only be made in the oven. Broke my heart. Our food arrived and my order wasn't correct. It only took less than a minute for my waiter to recover! He's turned the whole experience around. We had the Farmhouse Scramble and the Tri-fecta. The food was hot and taste good. The potatoes were very tasty! I would like to return for lunch and the bacon so I'll be back soon. So we have come now 4 times as some people have given this place good reviews and our experience was mediocre, long waits and food was ok. We arrived at 1:45 pm and were seated right away, however our waiter and several other were sweeping the floors in anticipation of closing time. Our waiter swept her whole area and then went to the kitchen, never greeted us nor asked about our drinks. I finally flagged down the lady that seated us and asked who was our waiter, she then took our order. Simple order burger and chicken salad. It took a very long time, and as soon as the food was brought out of course we got our check, because now we are really close to 2:30 pm. It is always freezing in the store too! The past three times that I have been here I have been disappointed with either the quality of food or the service. For the service the past two times this restaurant was understaffed and poorly organized. We walked in and one of the times and there were plenty of tables open and they said that we could sit down but it would be at the very least 45 minutes until we got our food. The other time we had asked them to hold a table for us which they were more than happy to do but when we got there they had given up to the family that walked in right before us. For the food the last time I asked got to eat at this restaurant the eggs were cold and the potatoes were mushy but the pancake and sausage were really good. It tasted as though they had cooked some of the food fast put it on the plate and let it sit there while they waited for the rest to cook.
