I haven't had first watch in a couple year being back in Nebraska, so I was excited to return as I have always enjoyed it! That being said, I wasn't impressed. Our server was short and acted like she didn't want to be there. She rushes the order and left. She did check on us a couple times. The food was the real disappointment. I've ordered the avocado toast for years and it was bland and flavorless. You could see the avocado was in a bowl before it was put on the cold toast. I got the watermelon wake up, it tasted mostly like mint and pineapple. My friends dish was incredibly salty. I would try another location before I returned here.

For some reason, the food at this location is just not as good as others in town. I usually love First Watch, but my food was overly salted and too much this past time--I had the SoCal bowl. It was loaded with potatoes and had so much salt that I could not eat much of it. Folks at the table commented it looked like I didn't even touch my dish. The portions here are very generous! The service is fantastic, and this location is clean, but I don't even like the food as much there.

I had a doctors appointment in Village point and my husband works near the area so we met up. there's never anything I can say wrong about first watch. The service is always great, the food is always amazing and we just love to relax and enjoy ourselves. I always try something new because the menu is constantly changing to keep up with the seasonal supply. My ultimate favorite thing to order is the million dollar bacon. On this particular day, we ordered two plates. Sometimes you have to splurge.

They told us a 15-20 min wait, we ended up waiting for 50 minutes and I even did the "get in line" on their website. That's our only complaint! Overall the food never disappoints though and very family friendly atmosphere.

Another great experience with my travel favorite breakfast place. This First Watch was across the 4 lane highway from my hotel Home2Suites. Only tricky thing about the parking is if you're planning to get back into the highway after you eat, make sure and go to the stop light to make that left hand turn! Today I got the Baracoda Breakfast Bowl with a side of sourdough toast and it definitely didn't disappoint. Flavorful and filling! My server was also great: friendly and knowledgeable, and she even kept up with my TikTok side of sourdough in a genuine fashion.

I've been to first watch a number of times but this one was different. I usually attend with my family when they come from out of town since they have a wide variety of menu items. My family loves the Belgian waffles and the sunrise granola bowl. This time we decided to change things up a bit and order some fun breakfast drinks! We got the spiked lavender lemonade and the cinnamon toast cereal milk. Both were lovely, but the lavender lemonade was my favorite! As for food, I don't think you could order anything here and not enjoy it! I ordered off the seasonal menu getting the shishito brisket hash and let me tell you, IT. WAS. AMAZING. The creativity put into this dish with the brisket, garlic aioli, and pickled onions was an insanely delicious combination. This was a good pairing with the lavender lemonade. My handsome brunch date ordered the Trifecta. It was the perfect ratio of sweet and savor pairing a light and fluffy Belgian waffle with eggs and a chicken sausage patty. Our waitress was also super sweet and made sure we were taken care of! This establishment is always well maintained and I really thought the Nebraska themed decor was a nice touch. This restaurant never fails to blow my socks off!!

We've been wanting to check this place out for brunch for a long time. I got the biscuits and gravy with potatoes, scrambled eggs and cheese. The biscuits were dry and hard. The gravy was decent. The seasoning on the potatoes was good, but the different sizes in the potatoes led to inconsistency in cooking. Some were undercooked while others had a nice crips. My wife's French toast was excellent, but it was very odd that it didn't come with sides. I had more than enough so we shared. The service was friendly and attentive. It was hit or miss for me, but we may come back.

Most of our group had been to Cheddar's before, and we were all excited to try some new menu items. Overall, the food was a hit. The onion rings came out hot and fresh, the lemon pepper chicken was especially juicy, and the white fish ended up being another favorite at the table. That said, there were a few service missteps that took away from the experience. Two people in our group ordered the white fish blackened, but only one plate came out as requested--the other was pretty bland. When our server eventually checked in (a bit later than expected), we mentioned the mix-up. His response was pretty casual, something along the lines of there just being less spice, and he didn't offer to fix it or have it remade. We ended up just swapping a fillet between the two plates so each person had one blackened and one not. It worked, but it felt like something that should have been handled differently. There were also a few moments where drinks went empty for a while, and our server wasn't around much. At one point, a manager actually stepped in and refilled waters for the table, which we appreciated. Overall, the service felt very laid-back...but to the point where it came across like he didn't care. One bright spot worth mentioning: my salad came out before the meal with a lot more cheese on top than I expected. As I was picking some off onto a side plate, a manager happened to notice and stopped to ask if I'd prefer a new salad without cheese. I explained it wasn't a mistake, just more than I wanted, but I really appreciated the attention and the offer to make it right.

Suffice to say (before reading my long review) it was not on par with the L street location! The staff were definitely new and learning the menu, but that is to be expected any time a new place is freshly opened. Our server, Blake, was nice though and was learning fast. But with a few other servers, there was one thing that did not come about from being a server in a new restaurant. We were eating and could CLEARLY hear the staff around the corner talking loudly and cursing left and right. I am not a prude about language but it's just not something you see every day at a restaurant with families/kids dining. The size of the restaurant seems a little smaller than the L street location, too. That may be a psychosomatic thing when trying a different location of a place you know, but I definitely felt more cramped. The food is on par with the OG spot, so no complaints there. My usual is the bourbon glazed salmon with the cheesy broccoli on the side. So it was just as tasty as the other location, but I think I'll stick to the L street one mostly going forward.

All the classic dishes like the lavosh, the prime rib enchiladas, the voodoo, chicken, etc. are still on the menu. On the whole, our table enjoyed the meals we got. That said there were a couple little notes I have. I've said it before, but the way they plate salads is impractical here. They serve side salads on small glass plates. Of course I appreciate the effort to make it a nice sized salad and fill up the plate, but with no overhang and no depth because it's not a bowl, it makes it really difficult to stir around without making a big mess. They don't serve the salads tossed, so this continues to be an issue for me as a diner. The other thing I noticed is that the building itself definitely needs a little TLC. Everything just looks a bit worn... in particular the walls, the baseboards, places where there's wear and tear, and it just doesn't look as crisp or as modern or updated as it could.

The other tables were asked if it was their first time; talked about the menu for the evening etc. again, not a huge deal. Drinks were great..an old fashioned and a black Manhattan. I'm assuming it was a manager who came over and apologized for the delay in getting our dinners. Again, we let them know we were not in a hurry. We get the craziness of Valentine's Day. But let's get to the food...did they remove all the seasoning from the kitchen??? Our Brussels sprouts were undercooked and little to no flavor. The steaks had absolutely no seasoning and the mashed were like paste. We had to ask for salt and pepper. Why can't they just put it on the table? My prime rib was blood rare which I talked to the server about before I ordered and said I would like medium and he said they could. Oh and no horseradish sauce like it said on the menu. The saving grace was I had the French onion soup which was terrific. Like I said, knowing how crazy it is on Valentine's Day, we expected a wait. But after waiting quite a long time for our food, I think they could've made sure it was cooked and seasoned properly.

Even though we were disappointed with the steak we still had a great time. Will def come back and try a salad or the chicken piccata. What happened next was unacceptable. I watched the waitress take the drink back to the bar, where the bartender (with his hair parted in the middle) poured the margarita out of and over the salted rim, into a different glass instead of making a new one. That same drink was then brought back to me. This isn't just poor service, it's a serious health and safety concern for me. There is a reason I asked for no salt. Rather than admitting a mistake and correcting it properly, they chose to cut corners and hope I wouldn't notice. If I hadn't seen it happen, I would have unknowingly consumed something I specifically asked to avoid. There were other issues during the visit, but this alone is enough to ensure I won't be returning. Trust is critical when dining out, and unfortunately, this experience showed that it's lacking here.
