Went here for the first time this morning. I wanted something simple. I was greeted at the door and seated immediately. I ordered their kale drink (delicious). I saw the multigrain pancake and wanted a side of crispy bacon. Alexa mentioned that there was a menu item relatively the same price of what I wanted but included two eggs, so I went for it. Food came out quick. While I was enjoying my breakfast, I saw the other staff flow without any hiccups. Everyone jumped in to perform any duties that needed attention. Walked into First Watch today and immediately played a thrilling game of "Find Your Own Host"--spoiler alert, I lost. Eventually got the green light to sit at the bar (thanks, mystery staff member), and just as my hope was being restored, I made the tragic decision to say "yes" to the coffee. One sip in and I genuinely questioned if my taste buds had wronged someone in a past life. Thankfully, the shrimp and grits came in like a culinary superhero to save the morning. Hats off to the kitchen crew--y'all are carrying this place. Overall the food was good, service was okay and coffee was horrible. We stopped for breakfast. Lemon Ricotta pancakes were delicious. Sweet lemon custard like scoop on top, mmmm. I also had the Bloody Mary with million dollar bacon, mmmm. Also upgraded the potatoes to bacon and a little gravy, mmmm. My sons had the berry French toast and the other had the waffle. Berry French toast was a little sweet he claims, but he put it down. 12yo had the waffle, light and fluffy, claims it's in his top three ever. He's had some waffles.
