Juices were name brand big jugs from Costco (I could see in the kitchen). What really ticked me was serving "mixed greens" (a leaf salad) with an omelet?! Gross. He is a table busser but each time we visit he is always working extra hard to clean table and make the environment comfortable for the customers. Went in to have breakfast with a few of my girlfriends and of course my toddler and 10 month old baby were NOT having it. Trying to deal with the tantrums and becoming overly frustrated I completely walk out and forget to pay my tab!! This has literally NEVER happened to me. I finally realized after an hour what I did and immediately called over the phone to pay my tab, but unfortunately they couldn't accept payment like that. After offering repeatedly to come back and pay, Ryan, the manager said to not worry and he had me covered. Like WHAT?! Talk about good people in this world. Plus, our food was so delicious! We are so excited that there's a First Watch in Mansfield now! We attended the soft opening this weekend. Due to COVID, it was required that we reserve our time slot instead of just showing up. I appreciated this feature because I felt it helped with safety as well as keeping the wait time down. When I went to check in, tables and partied were spaced out. There were not customers clustered around waiting as per a usual morning at a First Watch. The servers are all still being trained so it appeared that managers were close by to assist if needed. We ordered our usual breakfast items: the Farmhouse, the power wrap, and a side of extra crispy bacon. Everything was wonderful! There was a point where I ran out of the Watermelon Wakeup (which isn't free refills), but it only took about 5 minutes for our server to come back and I got a water. We were given our ticket a little early for my preference, but overall I was extremely impressed. There's a bar, an enclosed room, and a patio. We will be back very soon! read more

The food is great! Staff not so great. They are not very attentive or organized. The waiting staff is all over the place. On multiple occasions the waiting staff had changed during the meal at least 3 times, or I've had to wait a long time for a waiter to show up because they "couldn't figure out who was in charge of the table". On one occasion both sets of silverware were completely dirty. I also noticed that the coffee cups are not changed out between guests if they weren't drank out of. Let me first say that I have dined at first watches all over Texas and in Florida-they are my go to for a good breakfast. This location is no different. First, the location is beautiful and they are doing an amazing job with the Covid regulations including social distancing, masks etc. so let's get to the importance stuff. Service. Kendrick was our server and he was amazing - the perfect amount of doting and care along with the right amount of letting us enjoy our meal. The service was fantastic, friendly and perfect. The food is always perfection, delicious bottomless coffee, million dollar bacon, Avocado toast, eggs cooked to perfection and the most delicious granola banana pancake. I crave these pancakes, I must have these pancakes- I even took an extra one to go. They do so many things right... they serve warm syrup with your hot pancake - it literally makes a great pancake stratospheric!! I give up coming here. Everything single time I come the kitchen messes up the order. This time 2 items were wrong. I ordered eggs over easy, ham and cheesy grits. I got Ned eggs bacon and what tasted like butter grits. They apparently changed the cheeses grits and you can no longer taste the cheese. I ate my 1st course...2 med come pled eggs...5 min later I had my second course...replacement grits...same "not cheesy " grits and yes another 5 min I finally received my 3 rd course...my ham which of couples means I am eating ala carte...completely ridiculous. The exact same errors occurred last time I visited but I just went with it as I do not have a hour to wait on ham and eggs. On the up side and reason for the 2 stars, Kayla was an excellent server. For something called a Farmer's skillet it was questionable what type of farm it came from. Basically everything tasted like restaurant oil. Nothing was actually hot or seasoned. First of all, they tell you it's a 25 minute wait then they tell you manager told them not to sit anyone until the cooks catch up. I find this is a management issue. Upon arriving I was immediately greeted by friendly staff, was promptly sat and asked what I would like to drink. Before I was even done reading the menu my drink had arrived and was asked if I had any questions about the menu. Food was served within 10 minutes of ordering and everything was delicious. My server, Lucita, was very kind and checked back several times to see if I needing anything. I've been coming to this location for a while. Today I asked to be seated at the bar area because I was eating alone. After 10-15 mins nobody ever came to offer me water, a menu, coffee or anything. I finally asked a waitress if she knew who my server was and she replied that she would go look. A few old ladies even were seated and served before I ever saw my server. Once my server came she was flat out rude. I asked if I could add turmeric to my juice and she replied "no, the juice is premade." So I asked if I could just get some on the side and add it myself. She huffed and replied that she would ask someone and walked away to deliver a to-go box to another table. I could then see her complaining about me to the other staff in the kitchen area when they all started staring at me from behind the pick up counters. She never came back and instead pawned me off onto another server. One gentleman tried to make things right and got my turmeric and deducted the juice from the bill. But this experience was the last straw for me with this location. If you ever go here and sit at the bar area prepare to be ignored. I wavered between one and two stars. I've heard great things about this chain in Arlington and now their new Mansfield location. The Huevos Rancheros Tostadas sounded great. I requested my eggs over easy instead of sunny side up. When my order came the eggs were not over easy and when she asked it everything looked good I told the waitress that my eggs weren't prepared as I ordered but I guess I could try it this way. She said she would take it back because they could easily correct the mistake. I told my husband to eat while his food was hot and he started to, but his bacon and french toast had been brought to the table already cold. We had the waitress take them back so he could enjoy a warm breakfast. When my food came back the eggs were still sunny side up, just cooked longer so that the whites and most of the yolk was over done. And it was obvious that when the put the eggs back on the avocado covered tostadas they added more of the chive crema so now there was way too much of that. I scraped off as much of the crema as I could and most of the overdone eggs and ate the avocado tostadas. My husband said his new order of French toast was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. When you pull up the menu on your phone there are no prices. So we were surprised that his French toast, side of bacon and orange juice came to almost $20. There are 3 local places within about a 5 minute drive of First Watch that are so much better than this chain that we'll be sure to spend our time and money at one of these next time. read more
