Waste of almost $50.
Kacie D.

You can add gimmicks to your menu like, "for the gram" all you want, but $5 for a singular below average pancake is not only W I L D , but actual delusional behavior. What we got: Spinach & mushroom omelette with added grilled chicken - $19? Imagine taking the salt container on the table and dumping half of the thing onto your plate. That's what the omelette tastes like. My decently seasoned hashbrowns wasn't even one solid piece and was sitting in a little pool of oil. Boyfriend got a basic breakfast platter of eggs, sausage, toast, and fries with a side of pancakes.. well singular pancake.. for an additional $5, but let's move on. Sausages were cold in the middle, so please try to convince me that they're made in house. Fries were warm, underseasoned, and soggy. Thank God they didn't mess up the scrambled eggs or slices of toast. Entire meal was almost $50. I'm audibly laughing right now. Atmosphere: It didn't feel homey or inviting as a typical brunch location, but it was clean. Service: What in the Waffle House. Wasn't greeted when we walked in, didn't hear a thing when we left. Server was asking us questions by the open kitchen, literally 3 tables away. Can't wait to never come back!

Steak Frite

The look of the place is so chic. Everyone from the greeter to the server, and the owner were friendly. We went there for a special Valentine's Day dinner. The French onion soup was soooo good. I had the salmon that was cooked perfectly and my husband had the steak frite. I tried some of his fries; they were so crispy and perfectly seasoned. They usually just serve breakfast and lunch/brunch items, but a few days a week they are open for supper. They only serve beer and wine. The location is near 35E, if you are passing through, check them out!

Chorizo omelette with sweet potato bites

Very fresh & elevated brunch in Waxahachie. Definitely on par with what you'd find in Dallas. Also love the ambiance, it's spacious and seats are super comfy. We'll certainly be back!!!

stuffed French toast mixed berry cream cheese filling with fresh berries on top. Chocolate espresso mocktail.

The waitress was very friendly. The scrambled eggs were great! I wish I knew how to make them at home.

Gravy has made an inroad in the community primarily as a breakfast place and with good reviews, so we'll assume breakfast is good. Located in a nice strip center with lots of parking, Gravy is open until 2. Lunch is available and so 5 months ago we went for lunch since lunch is more our thing. We were given a sample of their raved about zucchini bread and it was delicious. Nice touch that. My husband ordered a Wedge salad and a Club sandwich. I ordered the Friday Fried Cod. I'll start with my fish. I used multiple layers of napkins to try and absorb the oil from my fried fish. It was not only greasy but dark brown and fried hard. It came with a paper medicine cup of Slaw and some Tater Tots for $16. I could have tried to send it back. Some days you just aren't up to it. My husband's $16 Paseo Club was an ordinary wheat bread sandwich with turkey, ham, cheddar, swiss and bacon with the obligatory extra piece of bread, lettuce and tomato. See photo below. $16! With a few slices of fried zucchini as the side. His Wedge salad was $4. And tasty, I was told. Service was friendly and helpful and the place was comfy. The lunch items ranged from not very good, though, to just plain expensive and forgettable. I am sure that breakfast must be their jam. Full menu available online. Check it out

The food at this Mexican restaurant is very good, but unfortunately the service has gone downhill…read more You seat yourself, then wait 10-15 minutes before anyone comes by to ask for drinks. After ordering, it often takes another 10 minutes just to receive them. Appetizers usually arrive at the same time as the main meal, which defeats the purpose of ordering them in the first place. The chips are hard and overly thick, making them difficult to enjoy. The queso is decent, but it contains large chunks of tomatoes and peppers that seem to take up more space than the queso itself. We've been coming here for over seven years, but ever since the two sisters--the owners' daughters--stopped working here, the service has steadily declined. If it weren't for how good the food is, we likely wouldn't keep coming back. What's frustrating is that there always seems to be plenty of staff on the floor, yet customers are still left waiting. Ironically, the bus staff cleans tables quickly as soon as they're empty--if only the waitstaff were just as quick to greet tables and check on guests. If management tightened up the front-of-house service, this place could easily be one of the top restaurants to recommend. As it stands, the food carries the experience, not the service.
