Now there was a avocado sauce that was advertised on the menu but i think it was absent on my dish. Any rate it was still very good. I walked in and the restaurant was super busy and I was quickly attended to. They gave me the seasonal menu and they currently are offering up cinnamon sugar donuts. Against my better judgment, I decided to give this place another try after a terrible first visit. I figured enough time had passed and maybe things had improved--unfortunately, I was wrong. The same staff with the same lack of customer service skills. We were seated and left sitting for about 10 minutes without a single person acknowledging us. I love first watch, definitely one of my favorites. But my first time at this location & the service was not as good as it usually is everywhere else. Our server Kala had a passive aggressive attitude towards us the whole time. We ignored it but you could definitely feel the tension. Every time we asked for something like water cups, napkins, etc, she would look at the table confused & then walk away to get whatever we asked for. I've ordered from this location so many times and early on things were great! Well this last experience was very, very poor. The food, specifically the breakfast potatoes came burned and the portion size was lacking in a major way. While I have never visited this location in person, I was pleased that they did well with ordering take-out/delivery. Thankfully (after going back and forth) Doordash was able to come through and provide me with a refund/credits to my account. While I know the issue was not with Doordash I still appreciated the fact that their customer service was helpful. I'd highly recommend going in to try this establishment. The pancake we got to share had chocolate chips and it was HUGE AND DELICIOUS!! Fluffy but crispy edges and the chocolate chips were melting so yummy. A friend had invited me to brunch at The First Watch in Katy. I had no idea how delicious the food would be and I've eaten at The First Watch on Kirby drive 3 times since meeting with her. They open at 7 and close at 2:30. They serve breakfast, lunch, and brunch all fresh to order and delicious. The have healthy options and a bar that also serves healthy cocktails like Vodka Kale Tonic. This place is wonderful and it turns out they have several locations in the area. I'm a fan. I asked to be moved to a soft seat and he was very accommodating. The waitress was nice. I ordered the million dollar bacon and toast. The food was cold the first time. The second time it was burnt. The third time the bacon was still not warm. Oh, they forgot the toast the first time. When I finished eating, they took the plate but forgot to give me the bill. When I asked about a survey, they could not figure out how it worked. My family and I have enjoyed the weekend service but weekdays they need more training or customer sensitivity.
