So I came here with my friends and the interior was very cool and rustic chic. Anyhoo got us some coffees and side of water. Ordered our food, had to flag down our waitress since she was standing right outside the kitchen area with other waitresses and hadn't come by after giving us our drinks. I got my avocado toast first, first time trying it, and got to say it was delicious. They did not skimp on the avocado which I really appreciated. My friends also enjoyed their food and everything was very filling. The only thing I'd say was a bit off putting was that we had to call for our waitress several times. This place is great!. Tried joining the waitlist online but could only do 6 people so i called and they fixed it for me. I think i waited probably around 4 minutes to be seated on a Saturday. Our server Tyler did great and was really attentive, i took one star just because they lost one of our plates and it come out after almost everyone else had almost finish eating. Never heard of First watch prior to eating here and didn't know they had so many locations in different states but THIS JUST MIGHT BE MY NEW FAVORITE BRUNCH SPOT! I really enjoyed the pork belly bacon & cheesy grits! If there was a way to marry the pork belly bacon and their popular millionaires bacon. Everything my family ordered was delicious! I definitely hope to go back and try other menu items as well. Price wise I definitely think you get your value's worth for really great food. Good sized portion food where you feel full but not grudgingly full. I loved the layout of the restaurant, family friendly, hangout friendly, and good customer service. First Watch is definitely a must try! We were in Houston and had to make a decision between here and Waffle House. We did not regret any part of the experience at First Watch. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the hostess and she walked us to our table. The waitress came and was extremely friendly! She went over the menu with us and asked if we had any questions. We ordered the BLT eggs benedit, the multigrain pancakes (I believe it's called), the million dollar bacon and Floridian French Toast. The food was definitely an experience for us. Everything was so good and fresh: from the arugula on the eggs benedit to the fruit on top of the french toast. All while we were consistently receiving service from our amazing waitress. We have tried other First Watch locations and the food cannot be compared. It was definitely an experience for us. Only thing I would change if I could would be the selection of drinks. Brunch heaven. I've had this place on my list to try and now I wish I had gone sooner. I used Yelp to place myself in the wait list and off we went. Our server was Abby and she was the sweetest. She took time to chat with her tables and had such a sunny personality, you can tell she takes pride in her job. Hats off to Abby! We had coffee, juice, the traditional breakfast and my son had the kids ham sandwich then at the last minute we added the Millionaire bacon. Everything was absolutely perfect. The toast was thick but fluffy, the eggs weren't over cooked ( which is something I run into a lot) the potatoes were plentiful and my son loved his fruit. The bacon was the best I've ever had, completely worth the price. Everything was wonderful but I did see some frustrated people. I'm a huge first watch fan as I've been to the one in Atlanta, Nashville, Phoenix, etc.. So imagine my excitement when I went to Katy to host an event and while sitting in my room I searched on breakfast and saw first watch. This location is Beautiful and extremely new which may account for my terrible experience. I called in an order for a green juice and a waffle with bananas and walnuts to go. I arrived 10 minutes later as I was told it would be 10-15 minutes. I paid and had a seat along with my girlfriend who I had been bragging about this place to and I wanted her to experience it as we had already scheduled a breakfast date for the following day. 25 minutes roll by and I inquire about my order and was told they are working on it. 10 more minutes roll by and come to find out I paid and no one every put the order in to the kitchen so now I would just like to leave after speaking to a manager and getting a refund. The manager comes up and says sorry it will be out in 10 minutes and just really dont' want to give me a refund so I can LEAVE as its been 50 minutes for a green juice and a waffle that only takes about 2-3 minutes to make. He eventually ran back and came back with all my goods (still no refund) and apologized again for the inconvenience. I appreciate his sorrow but I still don't agree with putting off my refund as almost an hour for a juice and a waffle is unreal. Food was good as always! My waiter Terrence was great! I did notice however these new straws...blue ones that claim to be "ocean friendly" & made with "Nodax PHA". Now I'm not some hardcore "we must have eco friendly straws" person...however, this straw is made out of polyesters biosynthesized by a bacterium fed by inexpensive oils derived from the seeds of plants such as canola and soy. Great! Let's suck up some more canola & soy in our bodies in the name of "environment"! I just ditched the straw. So over companies trying to greenwash while simultaneously contributing to an unwell America. Not only that, if these types of straws become mainstream, give it 20-30 yrs & our marine life will be living in or eating PUFA infested sludge. Whatever the fish or marine life's diet is, we eventually consume when we eat them! There's a whole ecosystem involved! Came with family on 4th of July for brunch. Location in next to the Sprint store which a Best Buy and Babies R Us behind it. So, ample parking available. We used the yelp app to get on the wait list which said 15 to 20 min. Note, you can only add yourself on the list when you are within 10 miles of the restaurant. Our party of 4 adults, 1 kid, and 2 infants were seated in a booth near the kitchen. We did have to wait a bit as one reviewer noted that the kitchen hasn't quite caught up in preparing the orders in a timely manner or can handle a full crowd. I worked in a restaurant before so I understand when the kitchen is slammed, the hostess will have to slow down on sitting patrons to time it. So even when you see open tables and she hasn't seat you or anyone yet, that's because they are slammed. Idk what people would complain more about, waiting for a table or waiting for the food? Either way, you will need patience when coming here until the figure out their work flow. The food took a while to come out so again, patience. Even the appetizer of the avocado toast took a long time to come out.... followed by the entrees that took another 20 min. The food itself was pretty good. Great breakfast or brunch stop. My husband enjoyed his crab and asparagus omelette. I got the Elevated Egg Sandwich which was underwhelming but typical. Ice coffee was good and the guys enjoyed their cold brew. Kids meal is also very hearty. The waiter was nice however not as attentive or checked on us to tell us our food status which would have been nice. I think if he did that, that would help calm patron's nerves. Also, he wrote down the wrong order for my sister. When the order finally came out we immediately informed him of the error. He tried to convince her to keep the incorrect order while sliding a complimentary orange juice but that didn't work. She wanted the order she requested so he brought it back to the kitchen to get the correct order. My sister said she would wait. I guess he noticed her irritation and tried to give her another complimentary item but she didn't want it. I give him a star for trying to make her happy and correct the mistake. Even though it was his error, it didn't expedite the order so we had to wait the same time for the entree to come out. So there are some kinks to work out but I give credit for the waiter noticing the unsatisfactory event and did his best to correct it. We will try to venture to other First Watch locations and see if they differ. read more

UPDATE: I still enjoy the food. I am obsessed with the market veggie sandwich and avocado chopped salad. They also have a new juice out called the "Strawberry Smash". If you haven't tried it yet, quick run to your nearest First Watch (this one to be specific). I can't get enough of this place. If you are used to eating unhealthy and not so clean, you may not enjoy this place. But you should DEFINITELY GIVE IT A TRY IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE! But those of us that ADORE clean, delicious eating can't say much more than this place is AWESOME! I am a CPT so I recommend this place to all of my clients for a "treat meal" you don't have to feel bad about. read more

It has eggs with zucchini, shallots, spinach, mushrooms, goat cheese (I subbed gruyere), and mozz atop fresh seasoned potatoes. It was extremely low on all the veggies...like I could probably count the pieces of zucchini, and the potatoes were in big chunks that were slightly undercooked and bland. There was a decent amount of cheese to make it palatable, but overall, it was kind of disappointing. I tried a bite of the ricotta pancakes with lemon curd, and that was much better. I'd been contemplating getting the french toast and after my lackluster meal, I wish I had. I'd come back, but only out of convenience and to try completely different menu items. read more

It said 12-24 min wait, but after checking in, it took closer to 45-50! From my view, I could see a lot of empty tables + many tables waiting for food but no food in sight. Not a good sign...I overheard the hostesses mentioning that the kitchen couldn't keep up with all the orders. After a long wait, we finally were seated. For food we ordered: -Chickichanga -Market Garden Sandwich + Tomato Basil soup -Shrimp & Grits -Morning Meditation (juice) My sister didn't like the juice because of the strong ginger taste, but it was fine to me. The food was pretty good, but I think we were all really hungry after waiting so long. This place is really popular, but sadly I don't think it's ready or able to accommodate the high demand. Great breakfast and brunch place!! Everything we ordered was delicious and very fresh. The serving sizes were extra generous too, and could totally be shared by two. I ordered the healthy turkey (a filled egg white omelette), my sister ordered the avocado toast and my mother the french toasts. We were all satisfied with our choice. I tried their plates and I loved them. I think the price of the items we ordered was more than fair, given the size of the plates. Each plate was around $12. The problem came when we received the bill. They had charged 2.98 for each cup of coffee, when no one ever told us we had to pay for it. As soon as we sat down, the waitress offered to pour coffee in our cups, and left the jug on our table. This made me think that the coffee was included with the items we had ordered, as a complimentary thing. Then I saw they charged 2.98 for each cup, and I didn't like that. Other than that small incident, and the fact that staff (including host and waitress Erica) could be a little more lively, I'd come back to try other plates of their menu. After eating at First Watch in Omaha while visiting my Mom, I was very happy HL found locations near Houston. Today we drove to the Katy TX location (18 miles from our home). We took advantage of the "wait list check-in" when we were about 10 miles from the restaurant. That helped reduce a usual 45 minute wait to about 20-25 minutes, as it immediately put us in order after the last person who checked in. Upon entering we let the hostess know we had wait listed on Yelp and she asked our name and told us there were 8 in front of us. Once we were seated approximately 22 minutes later, we were greeted by Adriana. She had a warm smile and was nice and professional. She took our drink and food order at the same time (I insisted as to not delay waiting forever for our food order). Our drinks were replenished while we were waiting without our having to ask which is always so nice. But our food did not arrive to our table for over 25 minutes. I know Sunday's are super busy at First Watch as people were waiting inside and outside the restaurant to be called when their table was ready. But I thought the 25 minute wait for our food order to arrive was a bit excessive. To top it off my basted eggs were barely like warm and HL's waffle was not hot since the butter they topped it with would not melt. May I suggest their expediters who bring guests their meals grab the plates as soon as they are ready and take them immediately to the guests tables?! Luke warm eggs and the same for waffles kind of take away from the experience of enjoying a hot breakfast. My Avocado Toast was wonderful and HL's poached eggs and bacon were great too. I give 5 stars for our wonderful server Adriana! Everyone should have such a friendly server like her to welcome you and ask sincerely if there is anything else she can bring us. All the other staff walking around and refilling our beverages were very nice too! I know getting hot food to customers while still hot can be easily corrected even when they are busy!
