Refreshing to have a resturant that offers a healthy weekend brunch... especially on West side!! Wait time for a table mid day on Sat was 25-30 minutes. Before coming you should load and use Nowait app on your mobile device prior to coming so you will bump up on the list.... to get your table. Resturant is very open, with combo of booths, tables and outdoor patio seating. What I did like is booths are capable of seating 6-8 ppl ; if needed. Ordered the Omelette with Italian sausage, wheat toast and mixed green. Omelette was good and reasonable size. Wheat toast was fresh, complimented with a strawberry jelly. On another note, if you are a big avocado fan this is your place. While I can take it or leave it.... noticed a good portion of the menu seemed to include avocado. Healthy choices. Only downside to those who may be considering meeting someone here to chat and chew..... the open setting of the resturant makes this place a relatively loud place. The food selection and service easily make up for the one shortcoming. I do plan to come back soon.... read more

Maybe I came too early. The ONE waitress they had was doing her side work a majority of the time and didn't realize there were patrons standing by. I had to go into the kitchen to get seated. Thought maybe that was a fluke. So I sat down and had to practically scream to get her to come back and take my drink order, coffee. Music was so loud I thought I was in a night club. No idea how people can even meet here and hear each other. She brings the coffee, and I asked for creamer. My bad for not ordering it. She forgets about the creamer. She had a whole two clients to handle. So I wait. And wait. Then I decide to get up and go find her...again. She's doing more side work, and I said creamer four times before she understood what she forgot. Then she brings it. No apology, just a "hear you go". Haven't gotten the food yet, but I don't care at this point. I won't be coming back. Worst breakfast service I've gotten since Denny's, and I haven't been there in 10 years. read more

Came to First Watch in Katy on a Sunday morning thinking we'd be waiting for a table and to my surprise we were seated immediately. Our waitress Celeste was very attentive from the moment we sat down. I was so undecided as to what I wanted it took awhile for me to figure it out because everything sounded so appetizing and the plates going by to other tables looked so good. Celeste kept coming back every few minutes and then gave me her recommendation of top 5 choices which I decided on the biscuits and turkey sausage and eggs which was one of the five and delicious. We also ordered the avocado toast breakfast to split as an appetizer and I'm sure glad we did. Once we ordered our food was served to us within 5 minutes. OMG I thought you can't find service like this anymore but it sure does exist here at First Watch in Katy. Overall experience was great and we will be coming back. Came here at 7 A.M. on a Thursday morning; was actually for a breakfast date =P I really liked the decor and ambiance of the place. Very bright and welcoming, like the early morning sunrise. I was served coffee almost right away as I waited for my friend. The server was very nice. What I did notice was, once my friend arrived and we were ready to order, it did take the server a bit longer to come back and get our order. It also took quiet awhile for two glasses of water to come out but, no big deal. The food was delicious! I ordered the simple breakfast (2 eggs, sausage, and toast). You can't really go wrong with that but, the sausage was really good I must say. Overall a good experience. The wait staff doesn't listen when giving simple orders or the women don't for some reason. I only eat small portions I've been sleeved so I ask for my beverage to go each time they just bring it in the glass and at the end have to wait for a Togo cup. During this trying times, with freezing weather, no electricity and water/pipes issues, they were open when I was looking for a warm meal!! My go to at First Watch is the AM Superfoods bowl with one of their fresh squeezed juices, Kale Tonic, but I needed something hot this time. I ordered the elevated egg sandwich and boy was it good! We decided to pop in for a late lunch at about 1:30pm. There were only a few occupied tables, but appeared to be well staffed. The restaurant itself is bright and pleasant with comfortable seating. The staff were all very friendly. The menu sounded appealing and the food all looked delicious. Unfortunately, although relatively tasty, the food was lacking in execution and a little overpriced for the portion-size and overall value. I ordered the BLT eggs Benedict that came with lemon dressed greens. The greens were not dressed and my poached eggs were over cooked. The best thing about eggs benedict is when you break the yolk and it mixes with the hollandaise sauce. Sadly, my eggs were not ooey-gooey delicious, but the hollandaise was a tasty alternative for the undressed greens (but then again, what isn't delicious with a little hollandaise, amiright?). My husband had the biscuits with turkey sausage gravy and eggs. It was just kind of bland and the gravy had an odd texture. The presentation was also very pale and monotone, this dish could definitely use something to brighten up the taste and appearance. I did mention the overcooked eggs to our waiter and he did offer to have them redone, however, we really did not have time to wait on them. Later, he took $2 off our bill as a nice gesture. All-in-all, it was not a bad experience, just underwhelming. If we are nearby in the future, we may come back but it isn't exactly someplace I would seek out again. read more

Nice to have a new breakfast place in Katy...went here pretty early in the morning and the place was quiet. I was quickly greeted and sat. Ordered the Eggs Benedict - BLT ($10.29). Beautiful presentation - definitely feel like you are eating healthy as the BLT is hidden under a lightly dressed mixed green salad and it wasn't drowning in hollandaise sauce. Note - the eggs are placed on one longer piece of ciabatta bread (which was buttery and lightly charred) instead of two. The bacon was crisp and the eggs were perfectly poached. Loved this place! Finally a great breakfast place in Katy. Very Californian twist to breakfast with freshly squeezed juices and multigrain menu items. I had the trifecta with a Belgian waffle. Wow!! Very delicious and perfectly crisp. My hubby had the traditional breakfast and everything was seasoned perfectly. Our waitress let us try all three juices. The Kale Tonic is actually pretty good! It has a nice sweetness to it. It's actually the most sweet out of the three...Then I would say Morning Meditation and then the Day Glow. I really hope this place stays as good after a while! This location is nothing short of perfection, we love it here so much that my kindergartener prefers First Watch over the other breakfast spots in Katy. He loves the chocolate chip pancake that is bigger than his face. We love everything from the the fresh food, the service, their morning juices to the ahem bar . My first experience with them was horrible. I ordered the avocado toast with eggs and found a long blonde hair in my food....DISGUSTING! I am a brunette so I knew it wasn't mine. When I told them about it they replaced my dish but really? I couldn't eat it after having this hair in my mouth. You would think that they would comp your meal since 1. There was a hair in my food and 2. I didn't eat the second one because I was grossed out but NO. This is horrible customer service and it's obvious they don't care. My daughter, (21 years old) dined at the Fry rd. location on Saturday, 8/2 around 12:00 noon-12;30 who has GI medical issues and is currently being treated - walked in to dine and brought her medical water. My daughter cannot and does not drink anything else BUT her water. Her water is medically certified and drinking anything else will literally hinder her recovery. The manager advised my daughter to put her water (which was in a sealed iron flask container) in the car because it wasn't allowed. asked the manager if this was a law and explained to the manager about this being certified medical water and that her water even passed TSA due to this fact. The manager had ZERO COMPASSION ... ZERO and asked if she had documentation to prove her claim of this water being medical certified. The manager (a woman) did not offer to smell or even test the contents. She just blamed the fact that they have a full bar on site and it was against regulation. Trust and believe that there are certification documents of such but my daughter did not have it with her and for the sake of not wanting to create drama ... she went to the car and put her water away. 100% unacceptable! My daughter should've walked out and not have eaten at that location. My family and I eat out often and never ever has anyone questioned our medical water. Once we mention health issues humans are usually compassionate but not this time. Very disappointing and putting my daughter in a position where she was forced to dine and drink water or any beverage that will legit hinder her health is inhumane. My daughter was hospitalized for 6 days 6 months ago in critical condition and I cannot believe we live in a day and age where a manager of a "healthy establishment" would take zero consideration for a humans health. WORSE management ever! So now I am asking you, the corp office of First Watch to show me ...where it is against the law to bring in your medically certified water to a restaurant establishment in the state of Texas. For the record: I called to speak with the manager today, 8/10 at 11:45 and spoke with Raul. I was told Cassandra is the manager and was "occupied" I left a message and as of right now (12:36pm) no call back yet. read more
