We came here on a Sunday morning for brunch, which is usually not my cup of tea. There was a slight wait and we were seated in about 20 minutes. Our server took our orders for coffee and presented us with the menus. I went with a sweet pecan crust chicken salad which came with bread and I opted for dressing on the side. We also ordered the avocado toast which was couple of slices with avocado coating and scrambled eggs. There are numerous other items available on the menu, but we kept it simple. Both items were very good. Salad was fresh with perfectly grilled chicken pieces, pecans and avocado slices. We even enjoined our eggs with the avocado toast. I will return for subsequent visits. This visit is starting out a bit rough. I came alone and was seated at a table set for 4. She ran off before I could request the set for 2 near by. When she walks back to me. A couple took that seat. She then pointed to a available booth. Only a o have someone else whom sat there. Okay I'm feel very freaking annoyed So I RAN to a setting for two and sit. Before someone else grab it. Wanted the complimentary cup of joe. Which I had no problem collecting it myself. But she did it. Which I would have prefer to do it myself. Returned it completely FULL to the rim. Absolutely no room for sugar or cream. Damn. Then she pours some out into a water glass on the table which made a bit of a mess. She said she'll take care of it no problem. Okay no problem there. But she returns and take care of the couple whom arrived after me and took the requested seat I wanted. And left my table with a spill and cream on my hands. Meanwhile the couple is enjoying their full pot of coffee. And I'm the lady stuck with sticky hands. Waiting for paper towels. Hopefully my meal is the best! read more

I had to acknowledge her before she asked what would we like to drink. She never asked us if we needed more drinks, or never asked if our meal looked right. I've been to this location twice and a visit at the San Antonio location. My first visit was phenomenal, exceeded expectations. On this visit everything went downhill. There was no morning meditation drink, they had ran out. I ordered the triathlete breakfast and waited to ask ask for butter. I waited so long I finished my meal but then we ordered a banana pancake so I asked for butter then since the pancake is large. It was dry like the others we'd tried but thought we'd give it a shot. It tastes great but it's hard to eat because it falls apart. Last time everything was just on point, water and coffee on the table before we asked about it and the sugar container wasn't clogged and wet. It was a lot busier than last time so that probably has a lot to do with it but we drove a long way and expected it to be like the first visit. read more

Decided to check this place out with my aunt and sister for brunch. It was great quick service. The food was great. I had a scramble with all of my favorite things including goat cheese. I would recommend it maybe with a smaller group rather than large. I feel the Wait time would just be crazy with that. But overall worth the short wait we had to deal with. read more

We stopped in around 9am on a Saturday and we're seated immediately, though the place was filling up quickly. We started with two of their juices which were both delicious and refreshing. Snacking on an order of candied bacon over coffee, we waited for our breakfast from the seasonal menu. I tried the carnitas burrito and my wife decided on the pumpkin pancake with chicken sausage and eggs. The food disappeared from both plates in short order and we washed it down with another cup of coffee, which was better than average. Ugh, we so wanted to love this place. We were in the area because my husband was test driving a new car. I found this place, and we were excited to try it, but nothing was particularly good. The atmosphere is nice when you walk in, and there was plenty of parking when we went on a weekend mid-morning. When we sat down we both ordered cups of coffee. The coffee was fine, but it wasn't great. I've had many better cups of coffee, and my husband agreed. Farmhouse hash - my husband ordered this dish, and he said he was very underwhelmed. He likes a similar dish from another restaurant, and he said this one was mostly potatoes, and it didn't come together for him as much. Morning Market Veg Omelet - this was very very meh. There was not enough goat cheese to make the omelet moist, so it was very dry. The vegetables didn't come together well at all. The best part was by far the toast. Service was good, and nothing else was bad, but the food was just extremely mediocre. Throughout the meal we kept adjusting the rating downward, until I finally confirmed, because we would never really want to come back, it's just a 2 for us. read more

I've come here 5 times in the past month and I've always had great service and amazing food. Just like any restaurant there will undoubtedly be small issues, I've only had one in the few times I've come. And that was more of a seating issue. I took one star off just because after getting moved, the waitress never came over to let us know we would be having a different one. We never saw our server until the end after we were almost finished with our food. Never got any more coffee/water till we were finished with everything. AVOCADO TOAST $11- never tried yet, but my friend enjoyed it. I like their whole grain artisan toast here though (comes as a side w/ some entrees). LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKES $9.79/2 pancakes (Sugar Land location)- man these were surprisingly so good & fluffy! They're huge too so very filling. Good amount of lemon curd and strawberries. CORNBREAD CARNITAS BOWL $10.79 (seasonal menu in August. Sugar Land location)- I don't even care for cornbread, but this was so good- crispy & slightly sweet. Racist Much... Waited 35 minutes to be seated only to leave still hungry without ever receiving our food. The waitress took our order, but decided 3-4 groups who were seated after us was more important. Made sure she greeted them chipper with a smile through her mask. They also received their drinks and one table finished their food before we received our drinks. We literally had to yell to get the waitress to get our drinks. The waitress than admits that she forgot. To say the least, we don't know if she forgot our order because after a hour and 30 min we called the manager and explained the issue. Eh the food is good but I don't think I'd come back. To me I feel like the food sounds good on the menu but when I have it it's very okay. Chickichanga- 4/5 I got this sans chicken which is probably why it wasn't that great. Hey a girl only eats Kosher/halal. Wasn't bad but again wasn't memorable! Husband got the market hash but I don't think I should comment on his dish because it had mushrooms and goat cheese in it, two things I dislike bleh. He liked it though! I have had this place bookmark for a while now. I finally got a chance to go one Saturday and there was no waiting like do you read reviews say I was able to be seated right away. I waited for someone to seat me and afterwords they were able to give me a menu and take my drink order and then came back to take my main order. The food came in a relatively short time and I had waffles and eggs and bacon. The waffle was very fluffy and they leave the coffee carafe on your table! It is an open seating area and it is slightly loud but it would be a little difficult to have a conversation unless you're sitting right next to someone. Since I was alone I didn't have that problem LOL. The food was tasty and I do plan to return, one thing to keep in mind is that they close at 2 PM daily. read more

This location is miles better than the location at Grand Parkway and 10. Upon walking in to this location, you smell breakfast instead of bathroom, which is welcomed. We had to wait 5 minutes or so this Saturday at about 11:30 for a table for two. Our host was kind but not too attentive. When we got our food he failed to bring silverware so we had to wait for a few minutes so he could bring us utensils as our food grew cold. This location cooks their eggs better than the other location in that their eggs aren't consistently completely solid; however on my boyfriend's eggs, one poach was perfect and the other was over hard. Our waiter also forgot the sausage we ordered, but that's okay because we didn't like it anyway. The banana granola pancake is excellent as always and today we tried the grits. Be sure to add salt! Other than that, the restaurant was clean despite being completely packed, and for the most part our food was on point. This First Watch is definitely first in my book. I think we'll be leaving Second Watch behind from now on. read more

Well, I just want to find a good Bruch place around Katy so I found this one from yelp with decent reviews. You could put yourself in the waiting list before you get here so we didn't have to wait when we arrived. This was really cool for me. Service was ok- it took pretty long time for us to get our food. We ordered a waffle and crepe dish from kids meal, a Benedict egg with ham and traditional breakfast. All of the foods were alright, eating healthy might be the selling point of this place. The whole grain toast came with the meal was the spotlight. It was really fresh and good. Overall this is an interesting place to go and try their healthy foods. Lovely way to brunch it up with friends and family! The interior is welcoming and the wait isn't too bad even for larger parties on the weekend. A quick check-in at the host/hostess stand with your mobile number will put you in line for the next available table, and when you get the text, your table is ready...convenient! Once my party of 7 were seated we were given menus to peruse but we didn't meet our server until maybe ten minutes in? Service was mediocre and as the entrees were slowly brought to the table there was a little confusion as to who ordered what...seemed like there were multiple kitchen runners helping the server out. We each ordered either coffee or juice, an entree, and two additional plates to share amongst the group. I loved the juice blended with ginger and turmeric but the kale one was also very refreshing. The smoked salmon eggs benedict was decent, not what I'm used to getting as their version of the egg muffin wasn't what I expected, and the salmon portion could be a little more. The yolk was runny the way I love it! The chickichanga was an awesome mingle of flavors...avocado, sour cream, flour tortilla, chicken, eggs, and cheese! I always want myself an avocado toast so of course trying one here was the only option. It was pretty good but adding bacon on top was what made it delicious.
