My recent visit to Denny's was great, and I have to give a huge shoutout to our server, Patricia Bell. From the moment we sat down, Patricia made us feel welcome and well taken care of. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient--always checking in at just the right times without ever making us feel rushed. The food came out hot and exactly as we ordered it, and Patricia made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. It's rare to find someone so genuinely kind and professional in the service industry, and Patricia truly made our meal memorable, and more in the morning lol If you're visiting this Denny's, I highly recommend asking for Patricia. First of all I want to share with you how amazing my server DJ was. I had asked her for a couple things that were missing from the table and she gladly went and got them. Stopped by our favorite breakfast spot this morning. Patricia set us up and treated us like royalty. Food is great - service is even better.

Take a shake!! Oreo or Vanilla. Real iced cream and homemade coolness. Ask for the Californian kid. A Denny's veteran wait staff!!

What can I say? It's where America eats. The food is good usually very hot. I wouldn't plan my Thanksgiving dinner there but for breakfast and lunch it's a fast inexpensive place to eat. The servers are as good as can be expected a place like this most are friendly some probably would rather be doing something else. Lol. read more

Used to like coming here as the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, today the food was gross! I found several hairs in my food. When I brought it to managers attention he acted as if he didn't care! I could not even eat my food as I was too disgusted to even eat it which I don't think anyone would blame me. So I had to pay for my food and I didn't even get to eat it. This pissed me off as I didn't even eat the food cause of the hair! Don't go here as it's disgusting! The ambiance has gone down hill as well. Lots of dirty tables left uncleaned and gas station attached is gross. Just highly aggravated with no one caring about my food and didn't even offer to remake food not that I would have wanted it but it's the thought that counts. Very rude, nasty and uncaring location! Wow! By far the worst meal we have ever gotten at a restaurant! We ordered the western omelets, one with hash browns and other with red skinned potatoes. First, one of the omelets has a large red pepper on top, not cut up at all. All the peppers and onions were mismatched cuts some huge others small. The peppers and onions were extremely greasy to the point of dripping grease when scooped up. The ham inside was over cooked and deeply brown. The eggs were rubbery from being overcooked. The toast was rubbery from being stale then toasted. The final nail in the coffin as they say, was the red skinned potatoes were severely overlooked and tasted burnt. Now you might say why didn't you send it back, well because we are truck drivers and on the road before we opened to eat them. Had we been there to sit down and eat, every bit would have been sent back. Either they don't care about their job, can't cook or they hate truckers! What has happened to pride in your job? Cooking to satisfy the customer? Or doesn't it matter when it's a to go order, you know they can't just send it back? Stay away from this place or sit down to eat so you can return burnt and overly greasy foods back! read more

Pretty standard Denny's that is located within a Pilot J gas station on the interstate. The server informed me that this location is strongly dominated by truckers, which is okay. Everyone needs to eat in a clean environment. I loved the fact that there is a bar area that has a 60-inch flat screen to watch CNN and so forth. Seems like there is a limitation on servers though. I waited for a few minutes next to the sign that said "wait for the hostess to seat you" until I said the heck with it, and walked over to the bar area. This was just after 3 PM. Much to the delight of the smoker, there were several folks that lit up their cigarettes at the bar, being that they were allowed to smoke after 3 PM. I discovered that there is a management rule that said that you can smoke in the building, provided that it is not between 6AM-3PM. For the non-smoker (such as me), this can be a hindrance at times. I proceeded to move to an area of the restaurant that didn't appear affected by the cigarette smoke. The food was fine. Although I ordered a Grand Slam breakfast that had two pieces of bacon and two pieces of sausage links, I was given four pieces of bacon instead. I mentioned this to the server, to whom she said would get me additional pieces of sausage as a courtesy, yet she never followed up on it. I didn't make a big deal of it, yet received pretty decent service afterwards. Not a bad place to stop at while traveling between Houston and San Antonio. read more

They got my buddies order wrong and I asked them if they were gonna throw away the toast they made him and they said yes. I asked them if it would be ok if I could have it if it's just going to be thrown away. I always look for ways to save money and I figured why not ask. I even said it would be ok if not. the waitress looked very annoyed and said "I'm just gonna fix this" and walked away with it. later she came back with the toast and put it in front of me and I told her "oh wow thanks! I really appreciate it" and she rolled her eyes and walked away. They tried to charge me for it out of spite I guess which I didn't expect so I told them what had happened and they said they will fix it but made me wait about 30-40 mins. My buddies ended up leaving and I just toke a Power Nap at the table. I guess making me wait was out of spite as well. Jesus Christ I will never ever ask for food that's being thrown away again. I guess they thought I was trying to scam them or something. Every time I said thank you to all of them they just walked away and looked away like I'm some asshole. I go to this Denny's all the time. The service is usually good. The past two times I've been it's been a real bummer. The time before last I ordered a burger and there was a hair in it. I told the waitress and they brought me another, this last time my daughter got a burger and there was a hair in it. She got a new one, but was so grossed out she couldn't eat it. Never heard from the manager, not even an apology or a "hey let me comp her meal" nothing. Needless to say I will NOT be returning. read more

Denny's is always very middle of the road for me. Food ranges from meh to decent, and the staff is usually friendly for people who deal with surly truckers all day. In all honesty, I would avoid what my lady and I are calling the "Beth/Leslie Combo". It isn't a menu item, but it is two servers who try to guilt trip you into giving them a sizeable tip. I wouldn't be giving an honest review if I didn't mention this as it had a negative impact on our early morning breakfast before we ran errands. Beth let us know immediately she had "hurt herself chasing people". The story changed twice, as the gait and severity of her apparent limp. The food we ordered was brought out cold (not an issue for waffles, but the chicken strips were practically inedible). The orange juice we ordered with our breakfast was spilled on arrival to the table. The extremely lazy service was too casually pawned off on this supposed injury which, interestingly, magically went away when it came to ringing us up and she realized she wasn't getting a tip for her incredibly sloppy service. I won't say "don't pick this location, it's awful!", but if your server is either Beth or Leslie it'd probably be better for you to not waste your time there and just grab a pizza and chicken tenders from the fuel desk. read more

Slamburger no cheese, is a nice change for me. Denny's is OK. Most meals are not for lactose free me. Fish and chips had fish overcooked. Not just here but chain wide. That's usually my go to. Service depends on location. This one was prompt and polite. Maybe it's a staffing thing but most Denny's seem to be a server short where the ones that are working are doing too many tables and not able to give the diner feel to the guest. We live locally and visit here several times a month. We usually get decent food and service. However, today we went and the noise level in the restuarant was deafening. The noise was from the employees!!! The bus person dropping dishes into the dish pan as hard as possible without breaking dishes, a phone ringing at least 30 times, staff yelling to each other across the store. Definitely not a big Denny's fan but I was so hungry and so I decided to give this one a try. I was pleasantly surprised the French Toast was made with super thick Texas toast and I mean real Texas toast yes honey give me life!!!!!!! It was made like traditional Texas toast with butter and toasted then cooked the traditional french toast way with cinnamon and all that jazz. It was super delicious and I was ever so pleased. If you are at this truck stop looking for a good cheap meal this is your spot! read more

We stopped in today for a late-morning breakfast, coming home from Austin. I had a headache,so just wanted to eat something, have some coffee, and get back on the road. First thing noticed was the freezing temperature. The waitress told my wife that they could not control it: it was controlled by The Flying J, next door. My wife ordered scrambled eggs, grits, and bacon. I ordered pancakes and sausage. Everything arrived at the table in short order.....cold. The eggs looked like plastic. She left them, and ate the grits, which she said we're cold, but tasted good. My pancakes were so cold that the butter didn't even begin to melt, and they were hard. The coffee was good, though. As I said, I just wanted to get out of there and hit the road, so I didn't complain. And the bill was only about $14. I haven't been to a Denny's in over five years and it will be at least that long before I go to another one. Yuck read more

Myself and my husband frequent this Denny's. While there are a few servers who are less than inspired by their job we also have our favorite servers who deliver consistently good service and a wonderful attitude, Jessie and N-V are just great. The food is consistently good. I am vegan and always alter my order to fit my lifestyle. This has never been a problem for these guys, and they aim to please. Seldom are we disappointed. A solid Denny's. You will often get a very nice server, but don't expect things to be very quick. If you come in with the expectations of good food slowly then you will leave happy. When you actually want to pay and leave, that can be an issue because sometimes there is simply nobody around the front. There have been times where I had to go to the front and wait for an employee, and then wait in line for him to process everyone. That being said it is a nice restaurant that has a slow friendly atmosphere. read more
