Don't believe me just watch...me help myself to another slice of Million $ Bacon. I'll admit I'm tardy to the First Watch breakfast/brunch party but I'll be returning. The location was great and we opted to eat outdoors. We were able to see and hear the excitement of Hershey Park rollercoasters but it wasn't too loud and didn't take away from the experience. This is farm to table style dining so there are seasonal menu changes and you can taste the freshness in each drink and dish. From the juice bar we had the Purple Haze (a blend of lemon, sugar cane, butterfly pea flower tea and lavender) and Watermelon Wake Up, (watermelon, pineapple, lime, and mint). I know this is Hershey, but I wasn't ready the sweetness of "Purple Haze". I would order again but heavy on the ice. The "Watermelon Wake Up" was beyond refreshing and a must. For starters we had to try Million $ Bacon, did it live up to the hype??? Yes it was all bacon should be sweet, salty, and something that I'll be back for. Per the waitresses recommendation we did the French toast & Farmhouse Hash with scrambled egg. It was a great recommendation! I loved the freshness of the everything. I ordered the eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. It was good, not great, and prices aren't terribly expensive. Honestly, it's typical breakfast. My meal was a little less than 11 dollars. So I went with some friends glad my friend put in a reservation still waiting just a little bit but small place very chilled ambiance. The staff and friendly and considerate that we were waiting for one more person and then we got apps or sharable. So I saw on Yelp before going ok ratings but I thought ok I'll give it a chance. The cornbread yummy and there was a million Bacon it was ok. They had a farm to table cage free eggs and seasonal menu which that is smart. So I asked about the sausage gravy and biscuits which they still did with eggs and potatoes since we were going to the Hershey theater this is brunch. So I got my meal the biscuits were good but the sausage gravy which it is my favorite part of the meal was ruined because it was pepper happy too much made it spicy. Same with the potatoes I love the eggs cheese is extra which I wish they would have said but not surprised. So it is paid at counter I wish the waitress would have taken it because it was so busy. Not a ton of selection for someone who is kinda picky. Wish I would have had the pancakes instead a bit pricey and would I go again maybe but I don't see this is a half the there are better places before going to the theater. read more

Came here for brunch with my family (4 people). There was a wait but it wasn't long. The restaurant is one largish open space with a high ceiling, so you can see basically everything from wherever you are, such as the kitchen or the pictures they had on the walls. The cornbread carnitas bowl from their seasonal summer menu caught my eye, so I went with that. I will say that it tasted very good. I love carnitas, and I thought it paired pretty well with the cornbread, which was also excellent. In fact, I thought all the ingredients fit well together. The eggs were great and the dish as a whole was very flavorful. However, I was a bit disappointed with the portion. The carnitas and the avocado were served especially sparingly in my opinion. Given the name of the item, I expected the carnitas to be more central to the dish. The pictures also promised more avocado than I was given. This, coupled with the long wait time, kind of spoiled the experience for me. The rest of my family seemed satisfied, and the food tasted great, so I would give this place another chance. Smoked salmon and frittata: the frittata is not only filled with smoked salmon and onions, not too salty, served with a side of salad and bread. It was filling and tasty. 10/10 would recommend Gravy/Biscuit with potato hash and side of eggs: good portions, potatoes were quite delicious. 9/10. Pancakes: Banana granola is my new favorite! huge portions for both and you can taste the banana and granola - very good. 10/10. Ended a girl's weekend by visiting First Watch for brunch. This was not our first choice but boy am I glad the first choice fell through. I will say making reservations were a little odd. They don't take reservation over the phone. You must upload the App and reserve online. I went to Yelp first to read the reviews and to the right of the screen it said it was an hour wait. Cool, we weren't ready anyway. However, we then go to make the reservations on line and it states that we should arrive in 10 minutes. Wait what? We thought it was glitch so we tried again. Same thing. Our last try to make a reservations we were able to enter our names but no option for a time. Oh well, we took a chance and headed to the restaurant. We arrived and was prepared to show our reservations just in case. The hostess asked us a few questions about the online reservation and told us it would be a 5 minute wait. Bet!! We were seated within minutes and greeted with water and menus. We decided to try the avocado toast which we didn't know till afterwards it came with two fried egg whites on whole grain toast. I like avocado but it was a little too much for the toast. We just took some off and ate it with the eggs. We also tried the holey donuts as well. The holey donuts are cinnamon sugared donut holes that comes with three different dipping sauces (chocolate, raspberry and vanilla crème). So good. Me and my friend would have been good with just that but we had already ordered the Belgium waffle for me and pancakes for her. The service was good, food was better. When I called to ask the restaurant what was going on, I was placed on a long hold and had to hang up and called back. I gotta say this was just all around a pretty disappointing experience. Breakfast options are limited in Hershey, we had to wait over 45 minutes for a table on a Sunday morning. But, the kicker is we saw several tables (4-5 tops, we were 6) get seated before us. They clearly forgot about us and they rushed us in and gave us a poor server who was clearly in the weeds. So we started hungry and frustrated, and 2 hungry toddlers is never good. The server was nice and did her best, zero complaints there. But as far as food goes it was pretty average and waaaaay overpriced. I got the chorizo omelet with egg whites, this was the most pitiful display of omelet I have ever seen, it had maybe a few ground pieces of chorizo and just green chilies, it had no flavor. It comes with a salad and one piece of toast cut in half (nothing screams breakfast like salad). This omelet was almost 12 bucks, absolutely absurd. The pancakes were good and huge, but nothing that different than any diner in my opinion. The avocado toast was good and my wife did enjoy that. But for an $80 breakfast for 6 people I would have preferred a diner or anything else for that matter after having to wait that long for mediocre food and the fact they sat tables that came right in over us that had waited 45 minutes is annoying. It's a chain so I guess it's to be expected to a degree, but I'll avoid First Watch in Hershey and likely anywhere else too. read more

I love first watch!!! I've only been to camp hill so after estate sailing in Palmyra today I decided to stop at the Hershey location. It's so cute! I love the giant cow painting. I'm a single diner. I was greeted by the host with a smile and sat at what I thought was an ideal table. Tucked away in a corner underneath a massive cow painting. I love it. Mandy came over with a large pot of coffee for me :) She was super nice. Mentioned the juices and made a couple recommendations. How do I even choose? I decided on the trifecta. My first impression of First Watch, I noticed going in the door, how friendly they were to young groups and tourists. However; being a disabled senior, it was quite apparent that I was not welcome. They made sure I was put in the corner and my walker was put outside near the back entrance. I was okay with them moving my walker, but the lady and I were already known not to be welcome. So let them be for tourists and young groups, I suppose they do not realize that some seniors do tip well. I would say the waitress was kind and served coffee well. But I decided to leave my friend as I had things to do. Perhaps they could use a lesson on seniors. But wish them well. read more
