Let me start by saying I have never hugged a tree or jumped around in a field of flowers with bows in my hair, so believe me when I say you can taste the goodness and ingredients in their food. This place is legit. Best breakfast I've had in quite some time. Everything is fresh and everything is delicious. Sunday morning wait time in Gilbert is usually reason to not go out, but the staff was very efficient and the wait wasn't long! This will be on my rotation of places I love! The icing on the cake was Ivy!!! She was incredible and knew the menu inside and out! It's so nice when you ask the waitress what her favorite menu item is and they actually have an opinion! My experience was definitely enhanced by her wonderful personality! read more

Usually give at least 4 stars, but not on this trip. I'm just wondering how long a guest joining you for breakfast can sit on your patio with their dog before being greeted?? 15 minutes, evidently! Inexcusable when you have 5 guests in the entire restaurant. I even peeked inside to alert the employees. Clueless. read more

This is my GO-TO breakfast spot. Before I get into reviewing the food, I LOVE their easy getting in line process by using their First Watch app. I just virtually get in line from the comfort of my home and the app tells me when I should arrive; no need to awkwardly wait amongst a sea of strangers while my tummy is grumbling for all to hear. The DRINKS! More specifically, the juices are so amazing. Go ahead and close your eyes and just point to a random juice, you won't be disappointed - - the taste, the freshness, is AWESOME. The Morning Meditation is my YOOJ. And, now the FOOD. High quality, decent prices, and served fairly fast! I'm a huge eggs benedict can so I always order this - - the egg yolks are always cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce always makes me want to HOLLA Joy to the Freakin' World, man - - it seriously makes my belly so happy. If you want a BOMB breakfast sandwich, go for the Elevated Egg Sandwich - nothing but fancy goodness in there. Go ahead, try it. Let me know because every time I order it - it makes me so damn happy. This is the first time I have had any problems here. I always get sourdough but today the butter was slathered on, and I don't eat dairy so I asked for them dry. Guess I'll get used to asking for them dry! My eggs were also quite oily for over easy. Other than that the service was great as usual. read more

Hubby and I were down in the East Valley recently and decided to grab breakfast at First Watch. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait so we gave our names and went next door to the natural grocer to check it out. As it happened as soon as I walked back in they called our name. Talk about timing! We were shown to a table and promptly greeted by our server who took our drink orders. Hubby ordered a cold brew coffee and I went with apple juice. After checking out the menu (which had several tempting options) I ordered the mushroom fritatta and hubby went with the chickenchonga and million dollar bacon. I also requested that my bread be subbed for breakfast potatoes. Both hubby's and meal also came with fresh fruit. I had planned on taking a picture of my breakfast but honestly when it came out it looked and smelled so good that I got too excited and forgot! My fritatta was very good, it was well cooked, flavorful and delicious. I inhaled it and the yummy fruit and potatoes that came with it. Hubby also really enjoyed his meal and it was quickly gone as well. Our server was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall we had a great meal and would definitely come back again soon. My only feedback would be to please add the mushroom fritatta special to the regular menu so I can order it again next time! read more

I've ordered from here before, with no issues, and the quality of the food was excellent, but today's experience makes me question if I will be back. We placed a to go order in person and have no idea whose order we received (none of the items were what we ordered)- shame on us for not checking before left, but the bag was closed when it was handed to us. The kicker is the bacon that was included in the order appeared to be someone's "leftover" - cold, not a complete order, with syrup on it. So disappointed!! read more

I loved my lunch! I got the chopped chicken avacado salad & it was really good. My girlie friend got the chicken salad melt sandwich & to be honest I'm getting that next time. I think it was better! We met at noon & were seated immediately although it was full. I've been told breakfast in the weekends gets really busy! So I was excited because I was starving. The only part I didn't like was the toast that came with my salad. It was TOO crunchy. Pretty much tore up the top of my mouth taking a bite. Win some lose some I guess. read more

Terrible service and the food was sub par. Once we got our food we never saw the server again. My husband ate half his meal with no drink we asked another server for some water and he as well disappeared. It was so disappointing as the bill was not cheap. I still tipped just because I worked in the industry for several years. Just terrible service!! Spend your hard earned money where you get some decent service. read more

We made a pickup order from here, the Trifecta and the Farmhouse Hash. The potatoes were OVERLY seasoned with salt and pepper, couldn't take more than 2 bites. The turkey sausage was inedible as it wasn't cooked - still cold in the middle and the serving of eggs was very minimal. We took 3 bites of a $40+ breakfast and tossed the rest. read more

I've been here various times and been attend led by various people, each and every time I've had a wonderful experience! Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has been pleasant, helpful AND CHEERFUL! It's so difficult To find a place to go to and have most, of not everyone be happy and helpful (while smiling at the same time)! First watch has it all! The food has also been DEELISH! It's my go to when I'm hungry and don't feel like cooking, too busy at work to cook, etc! After going to First Watch (FW) in Fla. I recently found a FW in AZ. My wife and I were excited to go today and FW did not disappoint. I had the Quinoa Bowl, the Belgian waffle, and a morning meditation to wash it down. The food here is tremendously fresh and hot. The waffle just melts in your mouth, yesss mister.My son had the French toast and he said it was very good as well. My wife had the Chile chorizo omelet it was good, however the omelet could have had more chorizo. The service was great the handful of workers that I spoke with was very friendly and addressed our questions with no hesitation and a friendly smile. Thumbs up for FW read more

I had an early morning doctor's appointment nearby, so I came here to treat myself to a nice breakfast beforehand. What a mistake! The food here is truly mediocre. I ordered a BLT Eggs Benedict and they put it on white toast instead of an English muffin. They used the THINNEST hollandaise sauce I've ever seen. The side of cubed potatoes were overcooked, hard and dry, like something at an express motel buffet. I also tried their Carnitas Burrito, which was mostly beans and potatoes. The little bit of scrambled eggs inside it were kind of pasted to one side. If you're used to the luscious breakfast cuisine at a Broken Yolk or Crackers & Co. or any good diner, you will be very disappointed with this utilitarian FAST FOOD. I will never be back! read more

Love coming here for breakfast! Always tons of heathy choices on the menu and something for everyone. They will even add/subtract items if you ask them to. For example I added chicken to the triathlete breakfast. Easily done and minimal charge! Coffee is good and the fancy drinks are excellent also. The wait times can be ridiculous at times but it well worth the wait for the food. Plan ahead and leave early or use the No Wait app to get in line before you leave the house. We had 28 parties ahead of us before we left the house and when we arrived there were only 8...15 minutes later we were in our seat. read more

The biscuits and gravy used to be my favorite thing on the menu and the sole purpose I came to First Watch all the time. It was creamy and fluffy and delicious! This was my first time at this location and what I got looked like stomach bile with mini turkey chunks floating in it. It looked worse than it tasted, although it tasted pretty terrible too. I could only manage a few bites before I got too grossed out to eat. On top of it all, our waitress was SUPER rude and actually argued with me when I told her it seemed different than usual. read more

I did ask to see this menu as gluten-free is my dietary preference, not an allergyand I was brought a complementary gluten-free bun instead of the pretzel bread. I thanked our server and told him not to worry that it was just a preference and he told me that he treats all gluten friendly requests as an allergy. I really appreciated the care and concern he had for my health and well-being. This is unprecedented at most restaurants. They had a very extensive gluten-free menu and I can't wait to go back and try so many more items. We did try the Leonard burger and made quite a few modification requests - all of which were 100% accommodated. This burger was so incredibly juicy! They aren't shake off the bone tender but I liked the gentle chew they provide. Overall, I recommend Joe's to anyone who cares more about the ingredient sourcing and quality while enjoying a nice family friendly vibe for a lunch/dinner. I am not a big review writer. However, I decided to post here on Yelp after sending an email to First Watch's customer care and not hearing back other than that they had received my email. My comment is related to the Gilbert, AZ location. It was an experience my wife and I had on the morning of July 16th. We arrived at about 8:30 am. There were three tables with customers; that was it. When we pulled in, I thought the restaurant might be closed. This is our favorite restaurant, and it was unusual not to see a full parking lot at that hour. We were seated right away at a table near the kitchen area. We sat for 9 minutes with our menus closed and no coffee, water, or service. An employee was setting a table next to us for 8, and we thought she would take care of us when she was done, but she walked away. We sat another 2 to 4 minutes and decided to get up and leave. As we left, I looked back, and nobody was even aware we had got up and left except for another table near us who watched us walk out the door. We drove to the First Watch Fulton Ranch location in Chandler and had a great breakfast. This is the first time anything like this has happened to us at this restaurant, let alone any restaurant. To sit for just over 10 minutes and be completely ignored, except for only getting menus at the door and being seated, is unacceptable under any circumstances. We would have been OK with a glass of water, coffee, or at least an acknowledgment that they would be with us at some point if they were short-staffed or extremely busy. The issue was a lack of attention. It's probably more of a management issue than an employee customer service issue. I am surprised this happened. I am amazed nobody noticed us and maybe asked another employee which one of the servers had our table. I am bringing this to everyone's attention because, as I said, First Watch was completely unresponsive to my bringing it to their attention. Secondly, it was preventable and it happened to us at one of our favorite restaurants where we love the food. We will not be going back to this location again. I felt obligated to bring it to First Watch's attention because you can't fix what you don't know. Also, it's not fair to you for us to bring our poor experience to the attention of others if we haven't brought it to their attention first. So, if you are considering trying First Watch, do it; the food is great; just beware of the Gilbert location. read more

First let me start by saying this was my favorite place to eat breakfast and lunch. I have been eating at Firstwatch for over 20 years primarily in Phoenix since that is where i work. I use to go to the one on Thomas road almost everyday and the manager Robin back then was the best. Her customer service skills and the way she made relationships with people was unlike anything I have seen before. It was amazing she actually made you feel like you were invited into her home. When Firstwatch in GILBERT Opened up near where i live I was delighted to find out she was going to be the general manager there. We were going there since day one of the opening. The food the employees everything was excellent. Robin was as I remembered very out going friendly remembered her customers and Engaged with them as if they were a close family. Then one day she was gone. No one really answered the question of where she was and if she was coming back at all for quite awhile. I eventually found out she quit. The restaurant showed this loss I was shocked because I have seen her and recognized her as the face of firstwatch since Thomas road and even when she was at the Biltmore. It was immediately noticed in the restaurant once she was gone. On days when i did not see her and assumed it was her day off it became apparent she was no longer managing this restaurant because the environment was completely different. There has not been since She left and to this writing today the customer service she provided While she was running the restaurant. The place has turned into a complete joke and it is eye opening to see all they care about now is making money and they don't care about the customer or building relationships with in the community as Robin did at any location she was working whether in Phoenix or Gilbert. First watch should of done something to entice her to stay because without her the restaurant is no different than going into a IHOP or Denny's. Therefore we now cook at home and will not go back to any firstwatch anywhere unless Robin is managing. Completely disappointed in the Firstwatch corporate philosophy. read more

We decided to stop by First Watch for breakfast, and overall it was a great experience! We ordered the Chickichanga and the Barbacoa Chilaquiles Breakfast Bowl. The Chickichanga was definitely the star of the meal, it was absolutely delicious! It was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and the combination of ingredients made every bite so good. I would definitely order it again. The Barbacoa Chilaquiles Breakfast Bowl was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out as much as the Chickichanga. The flavors were decent, but it just wasn't as memorable or satisfying. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, the food came out fresh, and the service was friendly and attentive. Even though one dish wasn't our favorite, we'd definitely come back because the Chickichanga alone is worth the visit. Overall, I'd recommend giving First Watch a try if you're looking for a fresh, flavorful breakfast or brunch spot! read more

This place has completely changed for the worse after the last manager (Robin) left its been awhile but has never been the same since. First watch should of done what ever they needed to do to keep her. Customer service, food and efficiency are no longer there. Its a shame too because this was my favorite spot for breakfast. I can no longer go there. They only care about making a buck and have no desire to excel at customer service and engage with the customers like Robin did. I will no longer go there. Again great decision in not doing everything a company can do to keep One of the best general managers i ever met in a restaurant . I had a wonderful time at First Watch, a daytime cafe that serves breakfast and brunch near me. I ordered the shareable 4-pieces bacon, which was amazing with its sweet taste and crispy texture. I also tried their vegetarian sandwich, which was awesome. The kale tonic was better than I expected, it was refreshing and doesn't have a "grassy taste." Had a great breakfast at First Watch recently. We tried the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread, which was really good with a nice balance of sweetness and flavor, and the Trifecta breakfast was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were solid, and the meal came out exactly the way you'd want a breakfast spot to deliver. The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained and she shared that the service was very friendly and efficient. All around great experience.

She did a "fly-by" to drop off our ticket without asking if we needed anything else, which we did and had to try to flag her. Drinks: Try the great Morning Mediation! The Kale one was not bad but prefer the other. Lemon Blueberry Cornbread was delicious with the lemon curd on top as a shareable! We ordered the Salmon Benedict, Elevated Egg Sandwich, Barbacoa Tacos plus the seasonal Chimichurri Steak & Hash - all were amazing. It arrived early but no fruit cup! I called and the employee asked if I wanted to come pick it up! Why would I order delivery if I could have picked it up? I said no and I am supposed to get a refund but don't have a lot of confidence that it will happen. She stated it would take 7-10 days and did not apologize at all. Lackluster customer service. I will not be ordering delivery again. My husband said the bread on his sandwich was hard-stale. It was sourdough.
