It had the perfect balance of sweetness without overpowering the coffee. You can tell they use high-quality beans because the flavor was incredibly smooth. We also tried a latte, and it was equally delicious. Ordering is done through a kiosk, which isn't usually my favorite, but Caffenio makes it easy. There are so many customization options, and the process is very user-friendly. I was also happy to see they offer multiple milk choices, including dairy-free options. The barista was warm, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Another bonus is the large patio with misters, which made sitting outside comfortable even on a warm Arizona morning. We will we will Rockaccino you! If Caffeino were around during the height of Queen's popularity, they might be inspired to sing that ode to this Mexico based coffee chain. There are two drive thru kiosks here and ordering is all through a screen. There are so many different drinks and foods on the menu that if you are a newbie to this place it might be a bit overwhelming. On my most recent visit I had a caramel rockaccino with cinnamon and oat milk. It didn't take too long for it to be made and it had a well balanced sweetness and creaminess. I'd definitely get it again. I appreciate that you can bring in your own cup for them to use for your drink and it appears that you might get a little discount for using your cup too! The coffee itself is actually pretty good. It tastes like quality coffee and you can tell they are using decent beans. That is about where the positives end. The way they handle pricing and ordering makes no sense. You cannot see the price of anything upfront. When you go to order, you are shown multiple sizes for drinks but no prices at all. You have to add items to your cart just to figure out what anything costs, then remove them and try again. I stood there for way longer than I should have just pressing buttons trying to figure out pricing. On top of that, they have a sign out front advertising one dollar coffee, but when you actually go through the menu, there is no one dollar coffee anywhere. It feels misleading and honestly frustrating. You end up wasting time trying to find a deal that does not seem to exist. I have been digging my stops here at Caffenio. This is a drive-through coffee house chain from Mexico. They have over 200 stores across the Mexico. This location in Mesa is the first location in the U.S. I am fortunate to live a few miles from here. I love the Horchata Espresso and many of their snacky items. It is nice to try a little of taste from down south here in Arizona. The beans used at Caffenio come from Oaxaca, a state in Mexico. I have tried the Oaxaca Coffee and enjoy it. Caffenio is currently the only Mexican branded coffee shop chain operating in the US. Some popular items include their signature Rockaccino (cold cappuccino frappe), cold lattes and Horchata espresso drinks. The Kfreeze is a cappuccino frappe blended with soft-serve ice cream and toppings. There are also Matcha & Chai T's Lattes. I've been eyeing Caffenio ever since I spotted the sign going up, and I finally got the chance to check it out! After doing a little research, I found out this is a Mexican coffee shop chain and the Mesa location is their first in the U.S. --how cool is that?! Go Arizona! There's both a drive-thru and a walk-up order kiosk with a pickup window in a cozy outdoor seating area. Major shoutout to the misters, because baby it was 109° and those were very necessary. I ordered at the kiosk and got a few goodies: * Horchata with almond milk and cinnamon - Smooth and refreshing, though the added cinnamon was overkill (my fault!). * Yambe (aka smoothie) in piña colada - This was for my boyfriend, but I stole a sip (or three) and it was perfectly refreshing for a hot summer day. * And of course, a concha - I've loved these since I was a teenager and theirs did not disappoint. Soft, sweet, and delicious. I didn't catch the name of the team member at the pickup window, but he was so friendly and even chatted with me about my Beyoncé tee!! We love a fellow BeyHive member! Q: What's a barista's favorite exercise at the gym? A: The French press. Look, I get it. This is a chain place in Mexico. Do we have amazing local coffee shops in town? Of course we do, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy this chain spot, Caffenio. Came on a Saturday and ordered the Horchata (with a shot of espresso), a cold brew with Irish cream, and a salted caramel crunch (warmed). The wait time wasn't the cutest since there's still a lot of hype around their first U.S. location, but the wait isn't unbearable. I opted to go to the walk-up window instead of the drive-thru. Order at the self-serve kiosk, remember your order number, wait to be called, and pay when you grab your drink. It's efficient. The coffee had good flavor but not enough caffeine. Stopped by several times during the early morning and there is no wait or line. Staff confirmed they are much busier during the later parts of the day. I've tried two different drinks since coming. Both iced and both very good. My favorite right now is the hazelnut iced coffee. The other I tried was the horchata with coffee. It's amazing as well and definitely doesn't miss out on the cinnamon. Their pastries are also yummy. I've had the conchas and banana bread. It's a cute little spot drive through has two lines and you order from a kiosk and drive up and wait for the order. Really excited that this opened up so close to home as this location is the first one to open up in the country! The grand opening was a few days ago so the lines are STILL crazy long but totally expected - do be patient! I stopped by very early on Saturday morning and I was the third car in the drive thru line at 6am. The two cars ahead of me took a while to order and then it was finally my turn. The ordering screen is touch screen which is probably why it takes a long time to order as you are doing it all your self. I had to flip through a few screens to find what we wanted. We ordered: One medium iced matcha latte with 2x sugar One medium iced chai latte with 2x cinnamon Two vanilla conchas - warmed up *We wanted Danishes but they were unfortunately all out :( Total : $17 After ordering, we scooted up to the window where the worker kindly greeted us and went over our order. At this time, the line was already about 10 cars long behind me. The worker was friendly and handed us napkins and our warmed up conchas in small boxes. A few minutes later, our drinks were ready. Both drinks were delicious. My chai latte had a perfect cinnamon taste and it reminded me of fall. I ordered it with 2% milk and it was the perfect creamy consistency. My friend loved her matcha latte and she also said it was the perfect taste as it didn't have the typical earthy matcha flavor and she got hers with oatmilk. The conchas were delicious. I personally love this place. The cashier was amazing. The whole system of ordering is smooth and easy, yes, the prices aren't shown, but you're able to order without pressure from having the barista in the other end. Ordered a cup of coffee this morning and was told the only creamer they had for the coffee were the packets of dried powder!!?!? They don't offer anything else!!!! Then I asked for a packet of sugar and she said they only had stevia. What??!!! The coffee wasn't good at all, either. Not flavorful. Oh, and she got my order wrong; I ordered two smoothies and there was only one, so I had to pay again and pull away and wait. Pretty interesting layout. I like/question the idea of doing your whole order on a screen. You're able to build the drink up but it doesn't always let you fully customize the drink. It is nice that you actually put the car you have so there's no mix up when you are in the drive thru. I can't remember which drink I got but it had Caramel in it and it was bomb. I'd order it again for sure. It was a perfect blend for me, wasn't too sweet but had that caramel taste. My husband didn't really like his cause it was so strong of coffee but he likes more of the sweeter side. I didn't mind it. We def wanna try more! But it can get backed up fast so be prepared people! read more

I previously tried going but the line was insane. This morning the line wasn't too crazy so I finally got to try it. You do the ordering on a touchscreen menu, even through the drive-thru. You start by selecting hot, cold, or freeze (I believe). Then you select the different types of coffees. I selected a large iced rockino with hazelnut. You can customize your drink with the type of milk and if you want to add extras. Although my coffee was ok, I don't get the hype. Also, the wait is a bit frustrating. Because you have to enter your order yourself on the screen it takes some time. I'm glad I tried it but I'm not sure I'll be in a rush to return. read more

We came on the third day that this location has been open. We decided to walk up instead of drive thru but we counted which car was at the end of the line for the drive thru. The drive through was about 10 minutes quicker than the walk up. The walk up kiosk was not working. When we finally placed our order, we were told that the payment would be taken when our order was picked up. This created two queue lines-one for placing the order and one for picking up and paying. When the order was ready, we had to disrupt the order line to pick up our beverages and pay. This caused a slowdown in the line to order. I think an improvement would have the kiosk working and take payment so that the window is purely used for picking up the orders. Or have a separate pick up and payment window to not interrupt the flow of ordering. I ordered an iced rockino with hazelnut and oat milk. The beverage was slightly watered down but still creamy and delicious! The branding is good and I am excited that this is finally here. This spot opened near my house "recently" there was no line today so I decided to give it a try and was very disappointed. I ordered an iced tea and they were about 50 cents more than most other chains in the same area. The wait being the only car was about 7 minutes which I think it a long time to get a singular item. The disappointing part is they leave the whole bottom to the first ridge of the cup full of the tea leaves so when you drink all you get is roughage in your mouth. I brought it home and strained it and that helped but I shouldn't have to do that. Maybe that is the way they do it in Mexico but not common here so it should have a warning. When I tried to give that feedback to them (can't make it up) they answered the phone, listened to me and they said "we are not currently responding in English, please go to our website for more info" so I sent an email. Almost every time I come here, I am asked to pull past the drive through window after paying for my order and wait on the side. There were three cars behind me and three ahead of me that had also pulled off to the side. I had to find a parking spot to not block the exit for other orders. Why don't they just make your drinks at the window??? Have people wait, instead of appearing like the line is shorter. The person behind me, that also "pulled to the side" got their FOUR drinks before I got my ONE drink. I listened to two songs before my drink was brought to my car. Please stop asking people to "pull to the side" if you aren't done. Please just finish the drinks in the order they come through and deal with the line as-is. It's really annoying, leaving a bad taste in my mouth before my first sip. I don't know why it's such an issue over here to just have a simple drink ready. You already have to place your own order through touch screen, one would think MAYBE they will have drinks out faster but for some reason they are slower than any other barista.
