A very successful brunch date with my sister and my friend and her sister! This place used to me known as "Egg & I" I believe and then it became First Watch. The wait wasn't too long since my friend had put us on the waitlist before arriving. We were seated in a few minutes and our sever was very friendly and made good conversation with us. Our food took a bit of time, but it was really well worth the wait. There's a good amount of options on the menu that I didn't know what I should order, but it's also a very flexible and customizable menu. Lots to choose from; I decided to go for the Parma. My sister got the Bacado. And my friend and her sister ordered a pancake combo dish, an avocado toast and one of the specialty menu items that had pork Belly bacon. All of the food we ordered was more than we asked for in taste and satisfaction. Everything had been cooked perfectly and we didn't expect the food to be as flavorful as it was. The avocado toast was a simple dish, but it was still very flavorful somehow. The pork Belly my friend ordered wasn't over cooked and the grits that came with it wasn't bland at all! Each of our eggs were also cooked perfectly to our liking. This is a nice quick eat place to come to brunch! I also appreciated how they gave us the check before hand so we can pay ahead. E were greeted by an extremely pleasant and energetic server name Sadie. She immediately show my wife and I to our table and put ya at ease that our first visit would be a great one. She helped us navigate the menu which had some great choices, and we decided on lemon ricotta pancakes and I got a chickichunga burrito. We tried their fresh ad seasonal juice flavors. The wife got a kale juice concoction and I got a pear cider both are great. Before we even got our food we knew it would be worth every penny. The pancake were delicious as was the chicken burrito. I am so impressed with First Watch! It's been on my Brunch Radar for some time now. After recently getting over a nasty cold, I was in the mood for a Mimosa-Less brunch and thought it would be the perfect time to give First Watch a try. Got on the waitlist via the Yelp App as we were about to pull into the parking lot. Hadn't noticed that there was a wait time up until then. We found a spot and went inside to check it. It was pretty packed inside the waiting area. They had little styrofoam cups and a self-serv brewed coffee station, which I thought was a really nice touch. We checked in and grabbed a cup. Hostess was very sweet and said it would be about 5-10 mins. We chose to sit outside and wait. Oh btw, free wifi!! (I noticed the sign in the window when we sat down!) By the time we were getting comfortable on the bench out front, they were already paging me (through text) that our table was ready! Decor inside is a simple, rustic farmhouse feel. Lots of up-cycled pallets and exposed bulbs. I thought it was cute! Upon sitting down, I noticed there was a big chalkboard on the wall with all their seasonal offerings outlined. I can always get behind a menu featuring seasonal selections, that is how you really get the best tasting and most nutritional ingredients. Had I not already been determined to get a Benedict, I would have definitely ordered something off this board. To start things off, I ordered a Morning Meditation Fresh Juice which contained Orange, Lemon, Turmeric, Ginger, Agave Nectar and Beet. This juice hit the spot! So delicious and really felt like this what my body was craving. Made me not miss my Mimosa at all! I decided to get the BLT benedict. Tomato, bacon and avocado are piled high on toasted ciabatta, two nicely poached eggs are placed on top, followed by a generous ladle of hollandaise and a handful of Lemon dressed arugula. I REALLY enjoyed this benedict! Classic flavors and very well executed! Tender baby green salad on the side was the perfect complement. Jon G. got a skillet and the cold brew. He says that he really enjoyed everything. But I noticed that the Cold Brew itself was verrrrrry weak, almost like watered down regular iced coffee. One creamer cup turned the entire drink a super light, milky brown. I'm used to cold brew being darker and stronger, but I can't really fault them, I didn't order it and Jon G. didn't have a problem with it. We will most definitely be returning to First Watch. I've been to First Watch a few times and 4/5 times we've had a really really good meal. 5/5 stars. This last weekend though - probably killed this place for us for a while. We came in at 1:45 for lunch, which I know is at the end of their day (they close at 2:30) but we thought that 45 minutes was probably early enough where they wouldn't be shutting down getting ready to go home. We were wrong, and should have noticed how the majority of the servers were mopping floors, preparing silverware for the next day etc. Anyway, we were immediately seated and only took a few minutes to look at the menu as we more or less already knew what we wanted. The waitress came by and took our order which was the Floridian French Toast (my wife always gets this) and I got the pumpkin pancake breakfast. For whatever reason, it took a LONG time for the food to come out. Thats fine, we're very patient people and were just talking at the table anyway. When the food came out, the waitress apologized for the wait to which we said no problem, and she walked away. The store closes in about 15 minutes now. I wish I had taken a picture of the Floridian french toast because like normal, its beautiful looking. The only issue - burnt to a crisp on the bottom. We both looked at it and decided to cut into it just to see if it was really burnt or just brown. Nope, charred burnt. So that was disappointing. My meal wasn't burnt, but it was cold. The chicken sausage, was extremely cold. Like - not properly defrosted cold and the eggs were also cold. So...not real great on either side. We flagged down the waitress and asked her to take the french toast off of the ticket which she did and my wife and I picked at the pumpkin pancake. Which was good! :0) Honestly, every other meal I've ever had here has been great. If/when we return, we'll just make sure that its no where near closing time. read more

We accidentally discovered First Watch about 3 years ago after a Dr's appointment. Could not remember the name or location, but were in the area today and determination wins! I have literally dreamed about their homemade bread, and it was exactly as I remembered. First Watch is a little bit like having breakfast at grandma's house, right down to the homemade jam. Seasonal options, fresh produce and ingredients, freshly-juiced drink options. The Purple Haze was outstanding. They greet you like you are family. Bridgette was our waitress and she was delightful . . . never hovering, or intrusive, but attentive to our needs and displayed outstanding customer service. The restaurant is clean, bright, and "down-home" without being kitschy. Again, a little bit like being in a farmhouse kitchen. Now for my negatives - so many food options, so little time. Every item on the menu sounds yummier and more intriguing than the one before. We looked and couldn't find the nap room we needed before heading home. Tried this place out on a Saturday afternoon because they have a buy one get one free entree coupon on their website when you sign up for the email club. There was a fairly short wait to get table, but there is free coffee and fruit infused water while you wait. The coffee is really good here, there is only one type. The atmosphere here was very farm house and pleasant, I was not a fan of the large Landry basket looking trash can next to the host stand. It made the area look really messy. The table we got was not were we would have preferred, right behind the host stand, but since there wasn't a wait after we were sat we didn't mind it too much. The service was a bit slow, but I think it's fair to give the benefit of the doubt that this place was very busy at the time. Our waiter was very sweet. We were really impressed by the menu, everything looked really yummy. We decided to get the chorizo breakfast tacos (which my husband loved) and the classic eggs Benedict, a total slam dunk. Both entrees came with a side of potatoes, the seasoning on them was excellent. I would have liked the potatoes crisper, but again just personal preference. If you come here you really have to get an eggs Benedict, it was one of the best ones I've had. The English muffin was not thought and cut easily. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the ham was sliced just thick enough and the sauce had a great consistency. We also tried the soup of the day which was the Italian wedding. I found it to be pretty mushy and tasted more like chicken noodle. Not really for us, but I can see someone like my grandparents really liking it. I got an iced coffee to go and it was also really really great. They put a sweet cream in it that makes it sweet and delicious! It is a cream so it won't be easy on your tummy later if you are lactose sensitive though. There were also some pretty good looking veggie burgers options but I didn't see too much many vegan friendly things on the menu. Bummed....we love this place, but last weekend we came for a Sunday morning breakfast. It wasn't busy yet, only about 5 tables. I've been a regular at this location for over a year now and I'm sad to say that it just isn't up to par any longer. Over the last 3 months I've received undercooked pancakes numerous times, orders that were messed up, skimpy servings, use of ready made ingredients (bagged marinated tomatoes in a hash) dirty water glasses and the like. I'm tired of it, your kitchen staff is sorely lacking and the front house clearly doesn't hold them accountable before the food hits the table. I won't be back for a while, maybe you can pull it together and restore my faith in this franchise. 2 Feb 2019, I gave first watch another chance after a few weeks and had a good experience... That didn't last... This place is back to dirty cups and silverware. Biscuits with turkey gravy was different but good it reminded me of THANKSGIVING . The farm house skillet was a mixture of yummy potatoes, egg , onion, bacon and avocado and more.
