The food was freshly prepared and seasoned well. It was alot of food! The coffee was also hot which is always a plus for me! They kept the refills coming. Ambiance was very nice! read more

Let's start with this season menu that ends today. At 1030 they were out of Holy Donuts. Every table has the picture of the holy donuts if you are out and the last day, how hard is it to have an employee remove them. The breakfast taco was good, coffee weak, Italian omelet was good. Kel, the server brought us the bill before we had even finished 1/4 of our breakfast. This place is loaded with families with small kids. When we were done eating, we had to hunt down Kel to get a box. read more

It was a time when I would highly recommend this restaurant. my first time there, the food was excellent despite the fact that I thought it was priced a bit high. The service was good in the army ants not bad. My last time there it was post-pandemic or shall we say at the end of the pandemic and the service was awful. And I don't mean awful as in we're all going through the pandemic so try and be a little tolerant. I mean rudeness at a level pre-or post the service was awful! read more

Got the Trifecta and it was delicious. Went with a group of 7 on Sunday and had to wait for a good bit due to how packed the restaurant was but we'll worth the wait. Highly recommend the food and our waiter was outstanding. read more

My wife and I are not new to First Watch as we lived up north in a place that had several of the restaurants. In high school it was her favorite breakfast spot. We stopped here for brunch and were seated and greeted promptly. It was 10am on a Friday morning and the restaurant was about 50% full. Upon going over the menu we were less than thrilled with their offerings. The menu descriptions are so overly described that it is actually annoying to read them. After settling on a custom breakfast plate for her that included almond butter artisan toast, turkey sausage, eggs, and grits and the farm stand breakfast tacos for myself we enjoyed a cup of coffee. The food arrived quickly and was hot. On to the "meh" portion of the review now. Her sausage links looked heavily processed and like it had come from a the freezer section of an Aldi store with it's shiny skin and small stature. The grits cup was about 4 ounces total. My plate was 3 tacos that came in taco holders with a side of beans. The black beans were well seasoned with chunks of vegetables in them; good. The tacos were mostly tortilla as the fixings filled only about 1/2 of each shell. They filled 3 tacos with a total of about 2 scrambled eggs total, the "pico" was simply chunks of tomato, and the avocado was pitiful. There was about 2 grams, or a nickels size slice of avocado plopped on each taco and I could not even find the chorizo that was listed as included. Overall we spent $38.00 on a brunch for two that was worth about half of that in my opinion. The quality of the food is nothing like we remember and the portions versus price are ridiculous. There are half a dozen artisan and fresh style breakfast and brunch spots within 10 minutes of this restaurant that have much better quality and portions. We will not be going back there and the First Watch dates from up north with remain fond memories for us. 2-Stars because our server was attentive and friendly. It's not their fault the menu and food are what they are. read more

The stars for this review is for the food only. The food is amazing - fresh, beautifully displayed, and very tasty. I would like to mention that their service wasn't up to par yet. They has opened less than 2 weeks ago. They obviously couldn't keep up with the volume of customers. Plus they ran out of milk while we were there, which was at 10am on a Monday (Memorial Day). I'm sure it will get better with more training and more supplies as they get used to their customer flow. I'll definitely return later on. read more

First Watch - Avocado toast. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Fort Mill, South Carolina

Saturday morning brunch. We expected a wait, and 20 minutes AFTER the end of our expected wait time, we checked in with the hostess to find there were still 5 tables ahead of us. At this point it was almost noon. We decided to continue waiting, as we had somewhere else to be and wouldn't have had time to drive elsewhere. When we were finally seated, no apology was given. Overall, the food was good. But it was chaotic inside and you could tell they were rushing people to make up for lost time. Had we been told an hour up front, it would have set the expectation and our entire experience would have most likely been different. read more

This was my second visit to First Watch Ft Mill SC. I'd orginally visited this eatery when it opened in Ft Mill in 2019. As a breakfast restaurant I grade it as average. The rationale for my rating is that the food and presentatio don't give me any memorable tastes or visual cues that stand out. The overall plating is very "blah" and the food just lays there on the plate. Nothing about the way it is presented and arranged illicits any sort of wow factor. In terms of taste and flavor, for me the food lacks any significant depth or development. Its as if the food were prepared by automation and lacks a "soul". Its not that the food isn't satiating but rather that it lacks any really memorable attributes. The entree that I ordered on this visit was The Works Omelet with Ham, bacon, sausage, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. Even with all of these flavorful ingredients the omelet lacked flavor and the cheese was unidentifiable. The seasoned potatoes were tasty but also a bit greasy. For me First Watch is a "pass". Its not that there is anything bad about the food, its just that for me it evokes nothing significantly noteworthy or memorable. Overall rating of 2 stars. read more

This is a picture of $6 over cooked bacon. It's $6 for 4 pieces. And every time it's overcooked to the point that it's crispy like a potato chip. As you can see breaking it falls apart into tiny pieces. It literally crumbles like powder. Disgusting! And when we've returned it, they've brought it back still overcooked. t's great you serve sugary kale and beet drinks, but if you're a breakfast place at least learn how to get breakfast basic right... Especially when you overcharge $1.50 per piece. Also... serving eggs with a typically vegetarian dish like avocado toast?!? Who thought that was a good idea? (Yes we have vegetarian and bacon eaters in our family). And twice now the staff has refused to serve it without eggs, so accommodating diets is not welcomed. If management will read this and make these 2 simple improvements, I will happily change my review... 1. Learn how to cook bacon correctly so it's not fried completely to a crisp. 2. Offer your avocado toast solo, or as a vegetarian option. read more

First Watch - How can you charge $1.50 per piece for crumbly bacon that's overcooked to a crisp like a potato chip. Gross! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Fort Mill, South Carolina

Came here for lunch break at work, have seen First Watch's everywhere but never tried before. I have to say they offer a great product. The menu offers a wide variety of breakfast and lunch dishes. I chose the biscuit w turkey sausage gravy. The dish came with two eggs (whichever style you like) and potatoes. To begin - the biscuits I believe are house made and based on the taste and texture, I would agree. It was light and buttery. The sausage gravy had great flavor and was seasoned well. My only complaint with the gravy is that it was a little more runny than I prefer. The eggs were standard - nothing overly special but light and fluffy. Finally the potatoes - these were among the better breakfast potatoes I have tried in my day. They had a nice char/crisp and were seasoned perfectly. I believe my dish was around $13 - very reasonable in this day and age. Our server was attentive but nothing over the top - it is just a casual spot after all. Finally the atmosphere of the restaurant is casual - perfect for a brunch spot. I would definitely recommend this spot for a quick brunch. read more

Pretty presentation, okay taste. The atmosphere was very nice complete with nice ppl. The food on the other hand was just okay. We got the traditional breakfast of pancakes and French toast. The bacon and sausage were good but the rest was mediocre. When I return I will try one of there omelette as they seem to be the more popular dishes. read more

First Watch - French toast trifecta and pancake trifecta - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Fort Mill, South Carolina

I love to eat breakfast but for me to pay 36 bucks for breakfast for the type of service I got I'm furious! Everyone at this location looked pissed while serving people. First, my eggs were so dry and overcooked! My sausage was great and that was it. The bananas on my husbands French Toast looked old and nasty. Now the million dollar bacon looked soooo great in the picture and what we got was rubbery bacon drenched in syrup. Advertised with brown sugar and everything and when asked to take it back and our concerns. I was told by the waitress "well that's basically what it is" and then looked pissed and walked away to take it off my bill. I would not recommend this place at all! Better off going to McDonald's to get breakfast. At least if I get someone who looks like they hates their job I get charged 1/3 the price. read more

The food at this location has definitely gone downhill as of late! The millionaire bacon was great the first time we had it, however twice after it looks like a poor mans bacon and was so sad looking/inconsistent. They actually served it to me burnt on one of the occasions. The portions have gotten smaller and smaller also esp w the condiments (jams, pico, anything you ask for basically...) The one positive is that the customer service has been ok... I would give this place another try but no time soon. Def sign up for the perks program to get a BOGO...only reason to go at this point. read more

I just had their new "Brooklyn Inspired" breakfast sandwich, it was horrible - no meat and over powered with onions. I used to love this place for weekend breakfasts i have noticed they are now skimming and trying all these over priced dishes that are tasteful. I must find a new breakfast place read more

Lately it's been a hit or miss at this location. Customer service is not what it used to be. I was served burnt and under cooked potatoes. The waitress didn't apologize and said that's how they're served sometimes then provided more excuses when I told them I had previously had properly cooked potatoes there. I told the cashier of the situation and was told they could only offer $2 and change off because the potatoes are a part of the meal. The quality of the food and service isn't worth the cost after this experience. Prior management would've handled this situation differently. read more

The food and staff were nice. The wait was very long to get a table. We arrived at 11:30 and were not seated until almost 1pm. I guess that speaks to how popular they are though. I would say definitely give them a try, but maybe don't go at peak brunch time on a Sunday if you're super hungry and ready to eat fast. It is nice that they text you when the table is ready so you can explore the shopping center across from them while you wait. read more

We are huge fans of first watch. I think it's a great asset to our town. Always busy. Literally always (not a bad thing) but plan for it! With that being said they usually get you in fairly quickly, and service is super fast. They update their menu seasonally which is really fun because there's always amazing new things to try, and it's something to look forward to as well. If i can recommend one thing it's the million dollar bacon- wow. My mouth is watering even at the thought lol. The juices are fresh, and very earthy. The parking lot is always super crammed, but they do have handicapped parking available if needed. The vibe of the restaurant is fast paced, but feels homey. Everyone is always super nice! Definitely give it a shot! Keep up the great work first watch! read more

Much improved service and delicious seasonal offerings. Used wait in line process from website and it was seamless

Food is delicious, but they were extremely unaccommodating to our party when it came to specific dietary restrictions. Even when disclosing those restrictions and shared far more personal information than we needed to with them, we were still told no. My friend can only eat very small and simple portions, and hates to waste food that knows will be wasted otherwise. She simply wanted to order a cup of soup and a grilled cheese. When trying to order that we were told that only kids can order a grilled cheese and they only offer a "cup" of soup when picking from the pick two entree. So both of what we were asking for were technically available to make an exception given the circumstances we explained. But instead we were told no to the grilled cheese and that we would have to pay the price for the "bowl" of soup, but they would just give us a cup. WOW, how kind.... not. Talk about making someone uncomfortable. So if you have dietary restrictions, I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Found First Watch via on-line search for breakfast venue near Lake Wylie, SC. Arrived around 10:50 AM, very crowded with others waiting. As a single diner, hostess offered "community table" for less waiting. I thought "sure, why not?". I didn't wait to be seated but I sure did wait to be fed! I can make an egg white omelet in about 10 minutes at home. Here, I waited for 50 minutes to finally be served a moderately warm, unimpressive omelette with grilled mushrooms, onions and diced tomato, a side bowl of mixed fruit and some toast. At least the coffee was good. I drank almost an entire pot of it waiting on this mediocre meal. Crowded or not, a 50 minute wait for a sub-par breakfast meal just doesn't have the intrigue to make me a return customer. Too many other choices throughout this area! read more

By far the worst service of any restaurant in Charlotte. Not only did we wait to get a table, but we waited 52 minutes for our food to come out without the server even coming by to say anything or check on us. Went about 40 minutes without a water glass for someone in my party. I am an understanding person when restaurants are busy, but the service was absolutely terrible. Safe to say I won't be back or recommend this place to anyone. Oh and this is the second time this situation has happened. First time was at the Providence Farms location. read more

I would leave 0 stars if I could. We sat at a table for 20 minutes and watched the server walk past multiple times and there was no greeting or anything. My family and I favorite breakfast/brunch go too ! The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. This is the only place that I love to venture away from the normal go to breakfast sandwich, bagel, or just simple omelet. The hostess and your waiter/waitress are always warm and inviting. read more

Was tied between choosing 3 or 4 stars for this one. First watch is pretty much your typical brunch place, the food is good, atmosphere is cute which is all nice! Not really much of a beverage selection so go elsewhere if you're looking for a cappuccino or mimosa. The only thing is, avoid this place on those big brunch holidays (you know- Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc) because the wait times are insane and the service is.. not great when it gets busy. The price really is a bit much as well, but if you're ok with splurging on a nice breakfast then you go for it! read more

Food was ok but not so sure about the million dollar COLD bacon. Does not seem worth million dollars to me. And our server Daniel took forever to ask for our drinks, take our order and bring our food. We sat and waited 20 minutes and saw 3 other tables that sat after us had their order taken and got the food first. And I only have a group of 2. Won't come back read more

Good food but service needs work. Poor communication with customers. All the high chairs were being used but instead of telling us, they just had us wait until our waiter talked to the hostesses and he told us. Our child isn't even a year old yet and a booster seat isn't secure enough to hold her in a chair (she likes to sway when eating ‍). I honestly would have been fine to wait for one, but I happen to have our bamboo seat in the car from dinner at a friend's last night. I asked the hostesses when I carried it in if they could get us a highchair as soon as one became available, and they said yes. Alas, we never were offered one. Our server could tell I was annoyed and stayed away so I never got around to ordering a fresh juice. But he did find the time to check on us to clear things multiple times when he was ready for us to leave. Food was good. Just not their people skills read more

Stopped in for brunch on a Friday and the entire place was packed! We were still seated immediately which was nice. The million dollar bacon is definitely worth trying - it was delicious! I don't care for maple syrup with my bacon but this was just bursting with flavors. We ordered the crab omelette and egg breakfast sandwich - both AMAZING! I also ordered a side of the lemon ricotta pancake, my only regret is not having enough room to finish it. Can't wait to come back and try other options, the menu was huge and everything sounded delicious. (UPDATE): Every visit since our first visit has been disappointing. Either something was not right with our meal or the service wasn't great. It's sad when you have to send the million dollar bacon back twice and it still comes out burnt. That first time we had it, it was amazing. I noticed the condiment portions they give (sauces, pico, dipping sauce, etc) are very very small. I ordered a wrap once and the amount of pico i got was so small, the small silver ramekin wasn't even close to filled. We've been many times but not sure we'll continue to go back. I hate to say it but i feel like the bigger crowd has taken away from the attention that was initially given to serving a quality dish. read more

If you love avocado, this is the place for you. Somewhere on the menu there's probably the option to add avocado to your pancakes - not certain there;). At any rate, this is not standard diner breakfast fare. Lots of catchy, trendy menu items and ingredients like chia seed and turkey chorizo. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just letting you know what you are in for. The three stars are for the fact that a simple breakfast took an hour and a half. The food was extremely slow coming out of the kitchen. It was $40 for two people, so there's that. Also, the layout seems poor to me. The waiting area up front is tiny and is also the area where you pay, so it gets congested and backs up into the eating area. Seems rude to everyone to not just plan a larger lobby area. Why do restaurants do this? read more
