Seasonal specials were delightful--cinnamon roll waffles with pecans, candied bacon, and pork belly bacon and grits. And the rest of the menu looked so delectable that I struggled to settle on one thing. My friend's "elevated egg sandwich" lived up to that description. Can't wait to go back and try more! The food was drool-worthy, and the service was on point. read more

This place is amazing! Great food quality for all types of lifestyles. They are efficient, maybe not as fast as most, but greatness typically takes longer. Great for brunch dates or friend quality time. read more

First Watch - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Decatur, Georgia

There is almost always a 30-45 min wait for First Watch on the weekends. They have a seasonal menu that changes and incorporates some cool new things every time (read: millionaires bacon, different juices, etc). They have traditional breakfast foods like pancakes (they're MASSIVE), French toast, egg platters, etc. Today, our waiter was just not good. My English muffin came out cold, the cheese wasn't melted on my grits, they ran out of silverware (she brought us our food and didn't bring silverware so we had to ask), didn't have pitchers of water so we were left without water for 15 minutes, and she forgot syrup for the pancakes. Have had better service here before, but after today I'm not sure I'll be back read more

Checking this location out on a whim and haven't been to any other location. The booths and tables are comfortable, and the room is well lit and airy. The high tables have outlets in case you bring a laptop to work while spending time here. The service was extremely attentive and courteous in every detail--even other waiters and waitresses helped other team members out. As for the food, my girlfriend had the delicious AB&J waffle which was delicious with real maple syrup, we shared the millionaire's bacon which was a great mix of bacon and maple syrup and a touch of pepper to kick it up a notch, and I had the BLT eggs benedict with avocado and a side of spring mix salad. The food was just enough to satisfy one's hunger without making you feel stuffed. Also their use of local farm products when they can comes out in the flavors much like other restaurants with similar practices (Yeah! Burger and Farmburger come to mind). Will gladly come back again! read more

I give this place 5 stars! It's a chain and I first heard about it when I took a visit to Texas. The food taste EXACTLY the same. I always get the avocado toast. Yummy! This place is perfect for brunch and they serve name healthy options. Bring your kids as they have kids menus and crayons!!! read more

Came in for a late breakfast early lunch. I was seated promptly and given the menu. My waitress name was Diamond. She was very friendly and smiling. She recommended the Lemon Ricotta pancakes. I enjoyed them very much. read more

4-5 stars.. the ham wasn't just right once, another time the omelette was over cooked (eggs don't like that). Better than most breakfast places in Atlanta, has good variety in pancakes but I haven't seen German, Swedish, apple pancakes and crepes like the OHOP. The coffee is medium (being a coffee snob I go for a late afterwards). read more

Great little gem in North Decatur. Came in for a quick breakfast before a work meeting. Super fast service and very polite staff/servers. The food, and coffee, was delicious. Bonus: they have free WiFi so I was able to get some work done before my meeting. Highly recommend. read more

Disclaimer: I've eaten at several other locations in other states, and it's *never* my favorite place, but I've had decent meals. Despite my lack of enthusiasm about the chain in general, I chose to try First Watch because it's in my neighborhood and I felt obligated. After being ignored for at least seven minutes - I didn't start counting right away - in a fairly empty room), I snagged a server and force-ordered the smoked salmon frittata. It took about three requests to get water, and the juice I ordered never arrived. I finally ordered tea instead, and that something made it. The frittata took a reasonable amount of time, but was flat and overcooked, but I was starving, so I ate more of it than I might have otherwise. By the time I was finished, I'd already decided that - despite the friendliness of virtually everyone in the restaurant other than my server - there wasn't anything special enough about this particular location to inspire a repeat trip. Plus, it's in the Sprouts parking lot (and Zoe's Kitchen is behind Sprouts), and I'd almost always rather go to either of those. It's a good place to meet, but if you're doing for delicious breakfast, I'd shoo you off to downtown. I can admit that those freshly squeezed concoctions can be delicious. More tempting, of course, if it wasn't directly in front of Sprouts. read more

So, the wait time affects my enjoyment of the food. I've only ever gone on a Saturday and Sunday mornings, the wait is always over 45 minutes long. Is the food good, yes. Is it wait 45 mins of longer good.... no. Service is their issue not food. It is totally worth a 30 min wait! read more

Wonderful breakfast, great service! Shout to David, General Manager, love it! Will be back. read more

I come to this place all the time and I'm amazed that I'm NEVER disappointed. I have my special server (Sofia) and manager (Chad) that make me feel like family every time I come here. I've been coming here since 2018 and it always the same. JUST PERFECT!! read more

My family loves coming to this location because the friendly owner and prime location for us. The staff is very kind and the food is always great too. I like to get the chickichanga - a very flavorful breakfast egg wrap. Would highly recommend. read more

This is an amazing restaurant with a wonderful staff. The avocado on gluten free toast was delicious. Coffee hot, vegetarian options plentiful. The host, wait staff and management went above and beyond for our Foundation's catering needs. Decatur is lucky to have this spot! read more

Went here around 9am on Saturday with a party of three. To my surprise we got a table right away and the service we received was pretty good. The only reason why I rated this at 3 Stars is because the food is sub-par and cost a bit more then most brunch places. read more

I'm obsessed with the egg sandwich. Best avocado toast ever, so big, perfect for sharing!! Not usually the beeest service, but all brunch places are busy. Get here early to avoid long waits. read more

I love going to this First Watch location for breakfast and brunch. They have a variety of options and the breakfast menu is available until closing. The community table makes it easy for me to stop by for a quick meal on a weekend without a wait. The service is always friendly and prompt. The times that I have gone with others, I have used the First Watch app and seated immediately once I got a text. read more

Awesome daytime meal spot. Fresh, delicious, filling! Plenty of healthy options that are super tasty. I love the kale tonic! Service is always friendly, fast, and they get the orders accurate. And the amount and quality of food is good for the price. My teen son always leaves happy! Love the look and feel of the place, too. Sitting at the community table, I have made friends while sipping tea and waiting for my meal to arrive. Also, the free wi-fi and easy access to outlets make the community table a great place to get a little work done, too. Overall, one of my all time favorite spots for breakfast and lunch, by far. I first visited First Watch in Columbus, OH, so I waa thrilled that one came to the Atlanta area. read more

First Watch - Farmhouse Skillet - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Decatur, Georgia

If you want to spend hours waiting for food & be barked at by the "host" then this is the place for you. Their customer service is awful!! The food is decent but not worth the 2 hr wait. We put our names down on their online system at 12:08 (which indicated a 30 min wait) and checked in at 12:20pm and were told we would get a text. We never received a text about our table. We were waiting out in the heat for a full hour before going in to ask when we were up. When I calmly asked the blonde woman host about the wait she snapped at me claiming she had been texting this whole time - I showed her my phone which had no text from their system. She then said "Well, are you ready now or what?" Maybe their system was down, maybe the short bald guy growling at door never pressed the button alerting us to come in, I don't know - what I do know is that they should check their system before blaming customers. We finally sat down at 1:00pm and ordered our food only to wait another FULL hour since our server apparently put our order to go and hadn't realized it. We finally were eating at 2:08pm. This place isn't worth it. The front of house staff needs to be retrained on customer service skills. read more

Good breakfast spot. Healthy options for people with dietary restrictions. Large portions, you wont leave hungry. They have a kids menu so its great for the whole family. I got "the traditional" with is eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes with was around $10. The toast was really good. Not sure what kind of bread they use but Its great. read more

Left with stomach growling and $14 less in my wallet. I had a $11.50 plate of 2 small eggs atop a small piece of ciabatta. It came with a puny spring salad. Way overpriced. read more

I live a few blocks from First Watch, so I come here often. I like this place very much. I had shrimps and grits which was not good because the shrimps were not saute before added to the grits. So the shrimps tasted boil in the grits. The grits too thin, do better with menu guys. read more

My family and I visited First Watch in Decatur on Thursday, December 23rd. They were closing in 15 minutes, but they graciously allowed us in to eat. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. They were eager to assist us and provided an excellent dining experience. We will return ! read more

We really enjoyed both our first and second experience here. Trying to eat healthy when dining out is always a challenge. You never know what your protein is cooked in(butter and heavy oils are common low cost options for restaurants), and what amount of processed sugar went into the dish. With First Watch, we feel confident knowing that we're eating delicious meals with a few whole ingredients. You still have to make some modifications to make your meals "healthy" when dining out, but they offer a good starting point. Review would be five stars but the reception/pay/hosting area up front was poorly designed without thought from the developer. It can get really crowded there. read more

The food there is AMAZING! You get a great portion of food for the price you're paying. There's this bacon called the " Million Dollar Bacon" and boy! I haven't had bacon in a long time and that bacon was something serious! Everyone working has been trained well on the customer service! The onlyyyyy thing I didn't like was the wait. If you have little ones like myself. Make sure you bring something for them to stay busy during the wait! But the wait at the end is so worth it! read more

This was a really good spot to eat AT THE TIME because I was starving. My stomach has been aching the rest of the day. We also had to wait dang 30 minutes for ok food! read more

Worst First Watch experience ever. 2 of 5 diners were finished before the last person was served. Cheese omelet had no cheese, sent back to kitchen and cold cheese was sprinkled on top, dish was cold. Lemon ricotta pancakes had the cheese sprinkled between the pancakes. Never received juice drinks we ordered. Terrible, 2 stars because 2 of 5 meals were edible. Find another place to eat read more

My wife and two friends decided to bring our families here for Sunday breakfast/brunch after an early church service. I have been to First Watch from when I lived in Maryland. For the life of me, I do not understand why every First Watch that I go to feels so crowded, tight and cramped. I put us on the waiting list via Yelp on our way so I understood we would have to wait but the real estate at First Watch is never large enough. People were everywhere and there was disorganization with to go orders. That being said my friend choose this place because he and his wife had never gone and they figured they would have healthier options with me being Vegan and my wife doing no eggs or dairy. I have not gone to a First Watch since I went Vegan 5 months ago and I figured they must have Vegetarian/Vegan choices that I had not paid attention to before. I was wrong. While they do have a few items you can make Vegetarian/Vegan, there is nothing that stands out for either. My wife asked if they had any almond milk/creamer for coffee and again nothing. For a company that prides itself on being "all natural, organic, etc" I would expect some effort put in to accommodate those on those type diets or those with allergies. I asked if the pancake badder had egg in it and it did of course. I actually broke my own rule this one time and ate Vegetarian because the Matcha pancakes sounded great even though they had eggs in them. I ordered plain grits and they still had a glob of butter on them. I realize I am now back in the Deep South and not Mid-Atlantic but come on man. I asked for another one to be made because plain is plain. Our waitress was awesome and everyone was good with their choices but I am not impressed anymore with First Watch. read more

Best breakfast out there AND all healthy choices. Service solid. Did I mention how tasty it was?

I was told the wait would be 30 minutes and it has been over an hour... horrible at communicating the estimated wait time

If you like below average food, scatter brained service, and want to pay too much, this is your spot! There are too many great breakfast and brunch options in this area to waste money and time at First Watch. read more

My husband and I are regulars here at this particular location. Chad, Jennifer, and everyone apart of staff IS THE BEST!!!! We never asked for a specific server because there's no need. The entire team always greets with a smile and provides awesome service. This location is always busy but one of the hostess told me about the waitlist online. So make sure to join the waitlist via Google. Thanks again First Watch Decatur. read more

You know what good customer service and leadership management looks like??? When your restaurant is out of grapefruit juice; perhaps go to the Sprouts market you share a parking lot with so your guests are not told for the second weekend in a row "we are out" Just a suggestion, First Watch. read more

The wife and I had been wanting to try First Watch ever since it opened. Sadly, we were not impressed. We had brunch and what should have been simple preparation took forever and was done poorly. My wife had a pancake and eggs, both of which were between room temperature and cold - which probably indicates it sat on the counter for a while. I had a sausage a mushroom skillet. The ingridients were not mixed well - all the sausage was on one side and the mushrooms the other. The entire dish was burned - especially the mushrooms and onions. By burned I mean charred black so that the burnt taste permeated the dish. Yet somehow - after being over cooked and served in a skillet - this dish too was room temperature at best. The server was pleasant enough but let our glasses run dry and never checked back with us. The menu looked interesting and if the kitchen had more training this might be a better place. We may try the John's Creek location which is closer to our home but I doubt we will be in the Decatur location again. read more

Amazing restaurant with the most hospitable and kind owner! The food was delicious in itself, and the service great but the owner went out of his way to make sure we were well served and even gave us a sample of his homemade jam to take home and a sample of some AMAZING beef jerky. Then he proceeded to give us a 2$ gift card for next time. Talk about great service that you never see nowadays. Great place, delicious food. Will definitely be back! read more
